Ok then. We'll just see how far you get. It's pretty hard to aim when you have zombies sprinting at you from different directions. It's even harder to reload.
Not unless you melee spam :P
A walking contest with a shambler. Now, THAT would be hilarious.
A walking contest with a shambler. Now, THAT would be hilarious.
It's not that simple, they never tire. NEVER. And there are usually fucktons of them, so you'll be surrounded by outreached arms which, if they grab hold of you will never let go.
I just wonder, if there was a zombie (the slow kind) invasion of some sort, due to the massive amount of zombie movies we've seen, plus the Zombie Survival Guide, will we do just fine?
Ok then. We'll just see how well you aim when you have zombies sprinting at you from different directions. It's even harder to reload.
Camping in the closet will thus be the best course of action.

If it was an airborne disease, we would be fucked.
Depends what caused the outbreak. If it was an airborne disease, we would be fucked.
Your average "zombie bites you, you become a zombie type" is the one I'm talking about. We would be fucked if it was an airborne disease.
Ok then. We'll just see how well you aim when you have zombies sprinting at you from different directions. When a slow one is coming at you, but you can't drop them because you can't get a headshot so they just keep coming and coming, thats a little more terrifying. Particularlly in hordes. A horde of sprinters is just like. "Ok, open fire, they'll drop easily." But a horde of shamblers is like. "Holy fuck! Why won't these fuckers stay down!"
You assume the majority of a zombie invasion would be fighting zombies, but much like any battle the actual fighting only consumes around 10% of the total time.
I never really said anything like that.
Your average "zombie bites you, you become a zombie type" is the one I'm talking about. We would be fucked if it was an airborne disease.
Well in that case, we probably would if we had enough educated people and ammunition.
Yes, and when one or two stray bullets to any part of their body drops them, you realize there's really nothing to fear. They will keep going until it's physically impossible for them to move.
So you're saying, one bullet kills them? From what I understand, classic sprinters don't stop because of pain. They will keep going until it's physically impossible for them to move.
Then again, there is no such thing as classic sprinters. Sprinters as they are are easily killed. They stop quickly when shot just a few times. Shamblers, they never stop. And what they lack in speed, they make up for in strength and ruthlessness.
Fast zombies, they scare the hell out of me though. I've had a zombie escape plan for years, its flawless, only a fool doesn't plan for a zombie invasion.
I have never called those infected with a virus "zombies." I've always been under the impression zombie was coined to describe those who, under mysterious circumstances, have returned to live and thrive on flesh. But that's just me, hence slow ones get my vote.

In dawn of the dead (remake) they only truly stop when it's physically impossible for them to move. From what I understand, they are driven by complete and total rage, begin to ignore pain, and never stop trying to kill you. Same goes for the 28 days later series. Those are the only movies I can think of that have sprinters. And apply some logic here. If a human couldn't feel pain, would he die instantly in a war if he got shot in the arm or the foot or in the intestines? No, he would just keep going, but he would die in a few minutes because of internal bleeding and such.
They better make a Zombie Movie which has shamblers in the next couple of years.
Well shamblers can be obliterated with a car, and with that car you can make a clean get away, as well. If a zombie invasion ever happens I'm going for a car.

Based of the assumption that these are "Zombies" and not "Infected"?
Zombie's you can walk away from if you watch where you are going or zombies that can jump you and eat your brains before you can sneeze ? I will go for #2 Honestly though, if your careful you should never get caught by a slow zombie , you'd have to be pretty stupid to actually be caught
Well shamblers can be obliterated with a car, and with that car you can make a clean get away, as well. And I would maybe pick up a map and look for the nearest military base. They would of probably set up some sort of fortress.
I think it depends on what you grow up with, the kids growing up these days with all these sprinter zombies will probably have a different perspective on their scare factor as opposed to us who grew up with the classic Romero zombies.
I say... life would be a shit pile if there was both shamblers and sprinters coming at you.
I think it depends on what you grow up with, the kids growing up these days with all these sprinter zombies will probably have a different perspective on their scare factor as opposed to us who grew up with the classic Romero zombies.
Sprint Zombies are deadlier, but shamblers have the "fear" factor on their side. Sure, they can get gunned down, but very few of us know how to properly use a gun, let alone have enough ammunition to mow down hundreds of people. They'll rush you eventually. [editline]07:15PM[/editline]
I say... life would be a shit pile if there was both shamblers and sprinters coming at you.
How about if they were coming at you . . . and coming at eachother?
How about if they were coming at you . . . and coming at eachother?
Uh, then... you box yourself in and get popcorn as you watch them wack eachother?

I'd be more scared of a zombie that doesn't stop, ever, and can only be killed by a headshot (you have no idea how hard it is to shoot something in the head from a safe distance, especially without a scope.)

If they cant move, they cant fight.
Plus if there's like, hundreds of them coming for you, you're basically fucked.
