That gear store with all the BDUs and whatnot was actually pretty fucking expensive. None of that was Chinashit, all of it was the legit stuff. A multicam jacket was $260 USD. A flecktarn jacket was $170.
That giantass airsoft store, War Mart, that sells everything for really cheap, is unfortunately closed at the moment because its owner went to China to do business. BDUs there, including Taiwan ERDL and Multicam, are all sold at the flat rate of $20 USD for a set.
The EoTech I bought was considered the "entry level", and was advertised as easier to use for small children. That's why it lacked trades and was so cheap, apparently. The people that run Gunheaven are really special. They seem to charge things according what THEY think the price should be and what THEY think it would be the easiest to sell en masse and make the biggest profits.
The Taiwanese airsoft community is always trying to get more players into the sport. There aren't the spectrums of airsoft like how we have in America (48% noob, 48% elitist, 1% nice people that want to help new players). Everyone in Taiwan's pretty accepting of everyone else. What really got me going back to Gunheaven (and why I will continue to return to buy things) wasn't the low prices, but the service.
The first time I went, a dad and his son went in to buy the son's 10th birthday present: his first gun. After browsing around for a good 15 minutes, the kid told the guy at sales that he picked out the one he wanted: it was a G&P M16 VN (it's normal for kids to have G&Ps as their first guns, as Crosman, Echo 1, JG, and Cybergun don't exist here). The dad went to pay for the gun, and I overheard the shopkeeper point out his worker's union card, and strike up a conversation about what the dad did for a living. He was a miner in the mountains in Central Taiwan, and was in Taipei to visit his parents. The sales man then said something along the lines of "Hey, times are tough..." and came out from behind the counter, took the kid to the gear section of the store, and picked out a set of Vietnam BDUs, a helmet, boots, and load bearing gear, and told the dad that he was only willing to charge him $5400 NT ($180 USD), and told the kid happy birthday.
G&P guns aren't cheap; it's saying something if an employee just wants to do this to make a dad and his kid's day. I saw that episode and I decided that I would be a return customer. Just for that act of kindness. I'm sure lots of others felt the same way. This story basically sums up the Taiwanese airsoft community in a nutshell.
Not sure if Code wants EoTech or Alpaca. I'm going to go ahead and guess he wants an Alpaca because he can just pull an EoTech out of his wallet.
That's something I'd be willing to do for you, after all you did for the subforum, but the easiest way for me to do it is buy a $5 flat rate shipping box when I get stateside and stuff everything I get for you (probably derpshit and velcro-backed Nazi flag patches and subdued Japanese Naval Ensigns) in there or something.
As for buying sights and airshit for everyone else, that's doable, but my mom might be like "why the fuck are you buying another EoTech you already have one" or "why are you buying two C79s? Is the other one for Jonathan Stokes? No? Put it back."

and over here in colorado my friend sent his FPG over to the airsoft store for them to fix and they lost the nozzle return springs and an important pin and basically stole $40

Still unsure if my mom will let me buy lotsa things for other people who aren't school friends, my girlfriend, or Ender. She's a bit anal about how the airlines are very limiting in their regulations and whatnot, but like I've said time and time again, I'll do my best.
Miniature airplane capsules might not be possible anymore, because the kids here have moved on to these little toy guns after all these years, and these guns come in GIANT capsules like, 80% bigger than the tiny capsules those planes came in. I'll do my best to get little gifts for the really contributing, helping, and constructive members that have really helped the subforum grow. You guys know who you are.
I went ahead and bought one (two, actually, but the second was a repeat of the first and I'll probably end up giving it my classmate) of those grenade launcher gashapons. They're actually pretty cool.
Today's loot was real simple. Just a 4D Master F-15E Strike Eagle ($4.6 USD) and a pair of gashapon grenade launchers ($2 USD). Total of $6.6 USD.
