Had an awesome day today. Went model shopping with my sister and at one of the model shops in the East District of Taipei, a man asked us where we were from in English (he heard us speaking) and then told us he was from Washington. He was really cool and knew his Gundams pretty well. And then he took out his phone and showed us pictures of his Gundam collection at home, and in front of his collection (which sat on a shelf above his fireplace) was a whole rack of airsoft guns.
Turns out they were all VFCs, and he got them all for free, without having to have a Dboys M4SD to do it. How? He went to school in Taiwan and was good friends with the owner of VFC. In fact, the two of them got into airsoft together at the same time, 16 years ago. He got all of his VFC guns and gear for free, and all he had to do was pay for the shipping. Also showed me pictures of a really neat VFC M4 that had his own name and callsign laser engraved into the lower receiver. It was pretty sick.
Hell of a chance encounter; with the best friend of the owner of a major airsoft company. We exchanged Facebook info.
