I'll admit the shadow under the AK is massively fucked. I'm not an artist so I had to cut/paste it from somewhere else. Other than that I (and they) seem satisfied with it. I know I don't contribute a lot to this community, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I'm not making any massive faux-pas, as this is supposed to go into print for both advertising and merchandise.
Should probably mention it's going for an 80's anime/manga cover vibe.

How big is this going to print? It seems like it has a lot of white empty space for larger prints especially
It seems fairly fine to me, except I would probably either move the whole composition to be centrally aligned vertically, or would move the gun up so that there is an equal amount of space between the top of the page and the top of the gun, and the bottom of the shadow and top of text.

I wanna start drawing things with a tablet and i would love if you guys could give me some tipps which Device is the best. I was looking forward to buy the wacom cintiq 12wx. Maybe you guys know better ones :) it should cost around 1000 € .

there were a lot of designs though, like 1300+, although this is sadly typical of 99designs. whatever, though, i only p much did it as a fun thing as opposed to like actual hardcore client work, wasn't really that hopeful i would win anyway. the last thing i will ever do on that site

This thread wouldn't be the best place to ask this as most of the work in here is likely done with mice and in programs where you don't "draw" in the typical sense. I would go the the Creative Work that doesn't deserve a thread thread, or if its still around there was a thread exactly for asking which tablet to get.
Personal suggestion, if you want to "start drawing "things" with a tablet" 1000 euros is way too much. Get a $100 - $200 dollar tablet first and see if you want to KEEP drawing things with a tablet.

how'd you get the sweet glowy noise effect if you don't mind my asking?, i've been wanting a similar effect for something i'm working on
i used a lot of layer mode trickery, but the main sort of glow was like a combination of lens blur and gaussian blur - the lens blur gets that glow around the intersecting vertices. the noise was basically photoshop noise except i sized it down to like a 1/5 of it's original size and then resized it back and basically from then on it basically playing with the contrast and layer modes

What do you print these on? I'd really like to remake some PS2/PC covers.
usually glossy paper because i can't find any brochure paper which is what they would be printed on ideally
Around here I go to UPS to print usually, and they have all kinds of paper.

Mm, hard to see on my monitor, maybe up the contrast a little bit, cause without it being more obvious the layout of the text looks really odd.

if u cant see that silhouette your monitor is really really badly calibrated and you should probably get on that

New logo for my sourcemod. I have a gradient version for in-game and a standard for media. Only thing I did not do was use spot colors since the colors in the mod are iconic. But I don't plan for it to leave the screen anyway.
