• What do the Olympics mean to you?

It amuses me that the only sports the western 'civilised' countries do really well in are ones that require a lot of money for equipment - cycling, rowing etc
Other than having to write about it in English class, nothing at all.
Watching people crash.
Although I like sking and snowsports I hate to watch it and everybody goes insane about it.
Other than having to write about it in English class, nothing at all.
You have to write about it in English class? Euuurgh, fuck that.
Myself, I find the Olympics to be an inspiring symbol of humanity's potential. If the brightest among us aren't in this spotlight this time, humanity's strongest, fastest, fittest, most graceful and most determined are. I've seen Olympians display near-superhuman ability, doing things I'd never have thought possible before I watched my first Games. Like running a kilometer in just 131 seconds. The Olympics to me are a symbol of what any human being can accomplish with perseverance and persistence.
This, with the addition of the whole unite together thing.
Sitting in a pub in Canada, laughing as USA beat them 5-3.

Ancient tradition and a small taste of unity amongst mankind.
Fairly entertaining. Sweden is good at winter sports (cept hockey).
It's a good way for countries to have a bit of rivalry.
I don't give a fuck about no olympics.
Nothing

Olympics means to me is countries to prove im better then you.
nothing ok
Means fucking Usain Bolt!!!! Zooooooooom
Olympics? Money used in these might be better used elsewhere.
Nothing. All it is, is most every sport played put into one spot for countries to compete against each other in. And I was never one for sports.
I find it a bit boring now, but I used to watch it tons. I guess I just grew up.
Interesting. I thought I would be the minority with the "don't care"-opinion, but apparently I was wrong. Don't care, sports I care about are not on the list of Olympic games (winter or summer), so...
It means Georgia gets invaded. Or at least that's what I'll remember the 08 olympics for. Otherwise I couldn't care less.
Waste of money, personally I think watching people play sports is retarded. You should play them not watch them. Same with video games.
I only enjoy it when Canada wins.
