If you're faced with an argument you know you can't win, remember that sometimes the best option is just to post "im gay" and get out of there

Here are a few rules of rational argumentation. 1. You can't argue with someone who is intentionally trying to mislead or deceive you. 2. You can't argue with someone who is unwillingly to reason well. 3. You can't argue with someone who is unable to reason well. 4. An argument has to give reasons for believing or accepting the conclusion.

If your opponent likes anime, manga or anything Japanese, use this to your advantage. Everything he says is automatically (at least) 50% less relevant to the current discussion.

Guys some of you have got this ALL wrong. For a start, if they have fallacies in their argument, you gotta point them out, since this immediately discredits their entire argument and side, and also makes you look smarter and you'll get what you want probably. Also, remember that a good argument will just be disproved, so it's better not to bother and attempt to make no justification for what you're asking/saying. For example, look at an extract from two different requests for some random completely unrelated server: [B]BAD ARGUMENT:[/B] "I'd like Noss to give me respected status because I've played a lot on this server and I think I can be trusted." See how he uses "happy" words and tries to use an argument of "respect" and "logic". That's a big no-no, you shouldn't try to [U]respect[/U] the person you're fighting with/asking, otherwise you'll look like some kind of person who likes to compromise and doesn't like arguing blindly (yes, I was very surprised this kind of person existed too). Plus, "trusted"? That's pretty racist. No, a good argument is: [B]GOOD ARGUMENT:[/B] "hey, can i be an admin? for an hour?" Now this is good, because it separates itself from the crowd and it gives a compelling not-argument. Noss can say for himself that this has worked in the past, because it appeals to that core variety in you. Notice the complete lowercase and follow-up question. This shows you are a cusrious person and have more to ask, which means people will want to listen to you more.
