Only good part was when the guitar melody split up into triplets. The rest is generic shit IMO. Try less predictable patterns, a better flowing structure. A stronger frame, this has a weak and shallow frame, sounds too constricted melodically. it sounds like you're forcing yourself onto the scales and chords your inspirations used, either get better musical inspiration or start forgetting all you know about music. you can either become a repeat or something entirely new. all i hear now is a repeat of previous artists who has made a spark in your creative interests( along the lines of fall of troy )
What are some good math rock bands with a similar sound to this song? :v:
Colour, Meet Me In St Louis, This Town Needs Guns.
Also, where are you studying music production?
Karlbergsgymnasiet in Sweden.
Only good part was when the guitar melody split up into triplets. I'm not forcing myself to play anything, most of the guitars were made up right there and then during recording. But alright. I'll forget everything I know about music because one out of several other people dislike the song.

Obviously, Progressive Math Rock is not the most popular genre in the world; there are many who dislike it. That doesn't mean it isn't good, or that nobody likes it. A LOT of progressive musicians take a hit on being commercially successful because they wish to create music that they truly like instead of making 'marketable' music.

The mainstream is just disgusting. I want to be challenged when I play music I mean comeon. Playing 4 straight chords for 3 minutes just isn't what I want to do.
