The making of food threads usually starts off well, but then we get people making joke threads and spamming bad recipes, so I don't think many members are up for having an actual [B]serious[/B] cookery forum.
If you've got a good recipe with an illustrated how-to guide you can always post it in General Discussion.
And if you've got a joke/bad taste recipe you can always post it in OIFY (or preferably keep it to yourself).
Cooking subforum is a good idea.
Yes, whatever motion opts to turn this place into an even more obvious SA clone gets my Yes vote.

What you'll need:
Frank's Red Hot

You'll be wanting the original. Don't go for the buffalo wings type. You'll want the normal sized bottles.
Catalina dressing:

You'll be wanting the normal sized bottles.
Butter:

Any kind will do.
You'll be making this with 1/3 hot sauce, 1/3 dressing, 1/3 butter. So for every 16oz bottle of hot sauce, you put in one bottle of dressing and four sticks of butter.
If you Catalina dressing comes in 15oz bottles, it'll still work. They just need to be about the same.
Put the butter into a deep pot and wait for it to melt completely. Put the dressing and hot sauce in and bring it to a high boil.
Place your wings into this mixture and deep fry until they're done.
For me, this usually takes 15-17 minutes, but for my friend who taught me this recipe, it only takes him 7-12 minutes. Check if they're done by cutting it open. Check the fluids, they should run clear.
You've just made buffalo wings!
