http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPPMnYaCRTs&feature=related God these two episodes made me laugh harder than any of the shit today. :haw: Mojo fever, anybody?
I have now added the end of toonami. :crying:
I HAVE SAVED THIS THREAD FROM THE DEPTHS WITH A MEGA-BUMP! I have added theme songs to every show (that I could find). Extra Nostalgia points! Your welcome. And it only took, what, 2 hours to find them all? Whatever.

I'll probably get flamed for this a little but does anyone remember FoxBox or Fox Kids in general?
I'll probably get flamed for this a little but does anyone remember FoxBox or Fox Kids in general?
Oh hell, i remember fox kids. Why did CN have to cancel all this good stuff? :frown:
Oh hell, i remember fox kids. Why did CN have to cancel all this good stuff? :frown:
Because of the Mooninites. No, seriously. A viral campaign for Aqua Teen Hunger Force involved placing Lite-Brites or neon signs featuring a Mooninite all around cities. People flipped their shit, and the Cartoon Network president stepped down. The one who replaced him is the person ruining everything we cherished. The idea of Cartoon Network Real makes no fucking sense at all. Seriously, who would replace one of the best segments on TV ever? Toonami was fucking amazing, it should have stayed for at least ten more years. CN Real is just a bunch of shows knocking off others. Dude, What Would Happen? - A Mythbusters knock-off, but it uses the retarded thoughts of stereotypical male teenagers. Survive This - If it isn't 100% obvious already, this knocks-off Survivor. Destroy Build Destroy - I don't know of anything this is similar to, but it's still stupid. "I have a great idea! Let's let some demented children use rocket launchers!" Unnatural History & Tower Prep - Pretty much the same show in two pairs of clothing. Hole in the Wall - How many shows are there like this? I think there was 3. The Othersiders - The biggest, worst rip-off of Ghost Hunters I have ever seen in my entire fucking life and was a complete misfortune to watch. Along with replacing a great segment on TV, they added some of the worst cartoons and failed attempts at anime I have ever seen. Hero: 108 - Possible the most poorly animated cartoon on television. Everything is completely out of proportion and looks impossibly moronic. Beyblade: Metal Fusion - "Hey guys, I have another good idea, let's make an over-dramatic failure anime about some ten-year-olds that spin these stupid tops. Sounds so fucking epic, right!?" Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5 - Half of the time, when people talk while in a vehicle, they, for some unknown reason, spring their heads forward. Bakugan - WHY!?!? This made going to after-care at my old school impossible. Everyday the 1st graders would trade these stupid things. Ben 10 - This is the only almost acceptable show I'm listing. I used to like it when it first came out and I was 10, but it got so old so fast. Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc. - Velma and Shaggy dating? REALLY!? There's too much romance going on in Velma and Daphne's heads. Plus Scooby-Doo is hardly a main character anymore. I honestly never liked Scooby-Doo, but this is fucking horrid. Johnny Test - FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!! WHY ON EARTH WOULD A HUMAN BEING MAKE THIS!?!?!?! I WAS NEVER LIKE THIS KID WHEN I WAS 11! HE'S THE MOST IGNORANT FUCK I'VE EVER SEEN! WORST CHARACTER EVER!! The Garfield Show - I don't care for this one, but was there any point? Sym-Biotic Titan - I sometimes would find myself interested in this to be honest. It's not too great, but I somewhat enjoy watching it. Generator Rex - For some strange reason this makes me think of anime that's usually on adult swim, however it still sucks ass.

In my eyes Ed Edd n Eddy, was Cartoon Network's flagship program, purely for the fact of over 8 seasons (I think it was 8) and a movie, they never lost their sense of humor. It was great.
My favorite thing about Cartoon Network was the feeling that it was this place where all the cartoons lived and breathed. You got this out of all the clever promos and bumps and what-have-you that used to be played all the time. Some of my favorites: Scrappy Loses It Sidekicks Sheep in the Big Cafeteria Powerpuff Girls Save the Super Friends! Solomon Grundy Want Pants Too! Shaggy & Droopy ... Alright, there's too many. But the last one is a good example of the second thing I loved about Cartoon Network. It wasn't afraid to cater to adults at all hours of the day!

I wonder what kind of children actually watched Mike, Lu & Og.

It's a classic case of a network not giving a shit about what people think about them as long as their shows are cheap to make and bring in a sufficient number of viewers. The main difference is that these cheap shows violate the strict "no live action" policy Cartoon Network had since it's founding.
Honestly, as much as I used to love Cartoon Network, I can't even fucking watch it anymore. Cartoon Network was pretty much my childhood as a whole. I didn't watch Disney Channel, because it was shitty and unfunny from day 1. Nickelodean had some redeeming shows, but as soon as Angry Beavers got cancelled, I stopped watching. Cartoon Network was cool because they had shows for kids (i.e. Dexter's Lab and Sheep in the Big City) that were fun to watch, but were also really entertaining for adults who would get a lot of the jokes that flew over kid's heads. In a way, it was great bonding material. I remember watching Billy and Mandy (Still one of my favorite shows to date) and actually laughing with my parents. Guess how many times I've watched a show with my parents that we've all enjoyed since then? Maybe 4. MAYBE four shows in the span of over five years. It's fucking ridiculous with the shit that gets to be called "Television" these days. Like the poster above me said, all their shit is unoriginal and just plain stupid. I can actively say that I hate CN now. I really, really do. Ten years ago, I'd never even think it. Don't even get me started on Toonami. Like I said in the last Nostalgia thread, Toonami was litterally the first thing I ever saw on TV. I was from kind of a poor family, so we didn't have a TV until I was already halfway though Grade-school. It was more than that first thing I ever watched, though. Toonami had programming that actually understood the idea of having viewers who weren't total idiots. They had shows that treated us as if we were mature enough to understand it, which is something you don't find anymore. Yeah, I get that a lot of you don't like anime, either. But Toonami was a big part of introducing that to pop-culture. While you may not agree with it, you kind of have to notice how big the fandom is, which gives you an idea of how important Toonami was to a lot of kids. The channel itself had started to decline right around the end of 2006, I think. Good shows started getting replaced by bullshit, and they started showing a live-action show. (I don't really remember the name, but it had cartoons that would talk to the kid) which was basically signaling what would happen later on. I really miss all of those shows from my childhood, but I had one big problem over all else. The decline and cancellation of Toonami. That just fucking did it for me.
Ah, Courage. That show freaked the hell out of me :geno:
Ed, Edd & Eddy
