Nice solidity, but you could have done well with some overlap and ease out.. But I'm sure your teacher being an ex-Disney animator he probably already told you that. Nice arch with the hands, should have more frames as well.
Yea, we're still working out kinks. He didn't give us many frames to work with, so we weren't able to be particularly creative. I also did a head turn and a cube and disc rolling across the screen. Right now we're working on bouncing balls and it looks like it's turning out rather well. Next week we're gonna do characters jumping.
My first animation was in Flash when I was in 7th grade. I don't have the original but this just has a bit of stuff like color touched up. The project was to make an ad for something using a song from an assigned decade. Mine was the 80s.
I knew it.

Than they teach you overlap and other stuff with a falling leaf like assignment, An alive sack moving around to use all the elements of animation, then alas to character movement.. at least that's how it was in our school. :\

He gave us the keys for that guy, we just had to fill in the missing frames. After the ball we will begin to work with our own characters, doing everything from the ground up. And don't worry, the first things we learned were the 12 principals of animation.

Our teacher also worked at disney, very grumpy man for some reason, always demanded that everything we turn in had the 12 principles applied to it, if it didn't it wasn't worthy of a C .. Although animation isn't hard, I grew tired of it, jumped onto illustration/fine arts. Feels better here. Weren't you that guy with the bad ass proff or something? Link to your portfolio?
