Ok here is an idea. The movie takes place during the Bubonic Plague except the Plague is actually a zombie virus. The protagonist is a monster hunter that has destroyed all kinds of creatures in his time. He comes to the ruined city of London and uses his wide arsenal of weaponry to cure the virus while blowing up all the famous buildings in London.
What I'd like to see is a film where rather than people bitten by zombies becoming zombies in a short period of time, the effect is latent, and the person only becomes a zombie when they die through normal causes, but live normally until then. As long as they are alive, the zombie plague is not gone, and the movie would take place as humanity is overcoming the actual zombie hordes, and attention turns to these individuals. Conflicts arise over how they should be dealt with, with some governments trying to exterminate them, and the lynching and incineration of infectees by vigilante gangs begins in many places across the world, while other people try to protect them.
That sounds a lot like Clive Barker's The Plague, which had all the worlds children going into a coma and waking up ten years later and going into a rage and picking up weapons, including firearms, and killing everyone they know, including their parents. There's a particular scene in which [sp] a police chief and a few other guys go into a church where they discover the chief's daughter, and, unknown to them, is secretly infected, but pretends to be sane and she starts to bite on of the men. One of the guys shoot her and the chief, in sadness, kills himself.[/sp] [editline]19th June 2011[/editline] Nazi Zombies are awesome, and I think it be good to use them. They're no many films that have them it it. (the only one's I could think of are Dead Snow and Outpost)
I'd love one with a serious storyline, like the one behind WaW Zombies.
Make them breathe fire
I'd love one with a serious storyline, like the one behind WaW Zombies.
The fourth part of my zombie trilogy has them in it, and it features all of the GotD fighting them through time, ending with their leader sacrificing himself to save everyone else.

"your fourth"? In a trilogy? With the movie still an idea in the first place? I sense a troll/moron
Whaaa??? "your fourth"? In a trilogy? With the movie still an idea in the first place? I sense a troll/moron
Hey man, the Hitchhiker trilogy is like 5 books long V:v:V
I'd love one with a serious storyline, like the one behind WaW Zombies.
Yeah like Hitler's researches on witchcraft make one of his men accidentaly become a zombie and shit like that. awesome.
Whaaa??? "your fourth"? In a trilogy? With the movie still an idea in the first place? I sense a troll/moron
The movies may still be an idea, but they're a very well thought out idea. I myself have almost gotten the third film's entire plot worked out. And trilogies can also have more than three films. The other words to describe it a tetralogy or a saga.

Left 4 dead 2:The Zombie Trilogy.Or Phantom of the Living dead
Hello people of Facepunch, me and a friend are planning to make a zombie movie, and we are looking for ideas. If you post an idea and it gets used, we will give you credit for the idea. Also you cannot request to be in the movie. We will post a link to it here when it's finished if we can.

The correct word for a 4-parter is a Quadrilogy :eng101:
Tetralogy works also
I dunno, I always like the Alien trilogy.
Listen, a major pitfall of indie zombie movies is that they obviously dumped some fake blood on some actors to make them zombies. To make realistic looking zombies, remember the rot (black and green slime), mud, and congealed blood that makes a zombie look like they've been reanimated for a while.

I think the problem is letting the zombies be seen clearly and directly. Something you can only catch a glimpse of, and be left to imagine the rest can be rather creepier.
Wow, no posts in 3 days. Well, this thread has turned into a zombie movie discussion thread. I'm still accepting ideas if anyone's reading this.
Call the virus that infects people "Romero Virus"
Actually, the virus will be called Solanum.
Actually, the virus will be called Solanum.
Sounds far more like a chemical than a virus.
Actually, the virus will be called Solanum.
You've literally just copied the name from the Zombie Survival Guide. Tell me, does this Zombie Movie have a single original idea?
Actually yes, the sorce of the virus has been created using my own imagination.
Actually yes, the sorce of the virus has been created using my own imagination.
Let me guess, its a complete ripoff of something that has already been done in a movie and/or really stupid?
No it is not.
No it is not.
Care to share it with us, then?
Actually, the virus will be called Solanum.
You have got to be fucking kidding me.
Your avatar summed that up perfectly^.
Care to share it with us, then?
The virus is unfrozen after being trapped in a glacier for about 700,000 years. It was actually unfrozen in 2005 and the first phase of it was the Swine Flu epidemic.

Jesus how good can this movie even be if not even YOU are the ideas guy? [editline]28th June 2011[/editline]
The virus is unfrozen after being trapped in a glacier for about 700,000 years.
