This was REALLY good...Then the hi-hats and snares came in.
My suggestion, get rid of the hi-hat and snare all together. Additionally, don't change the kick at that transition. Bring in a late hitting deep shaker hitting every count (1, 2, 3 ,4 (offset it late, so it hits just after each count (ever so slightly))). Put a HEAVILY reverbed clap in the place of the snare, but only on the 2 (leave the 4 blank).
The sidechain effect is nice on the kicks, keep that.
