yeah but fuck up your joints is literally all it does because it doesn't correctly work any muscles.
uhh pretty sure the point is that it's an aerobic exercise...
I weigh 120 pounds and 5"5' and my friend asked me to go to the gym, something I planned on doing but never really got to it. I have never really worked out in my life. So if I were to start doing say bench press, what weight should I start it at?
Just throw like 25's on each side and see how it feels. EggWhite brah just start with the bar, and then gradually keep putting on weight. try 10's, then 2 10's, etc. make sure you have proper form though (bar has to go down to at least an inch or so above your chest)
Woo. According to the scale at the gym, i'm down to an even 200. That's about 20 pounds in 3 months. Now to get more muscle going, and ditch this stubborn gut.
I think I'll keep bulking until April. I'm way too small (especially my midsection). what do you brahs think?

A curlbro is invading the preacher bench for hours. He does like 100 curls with small 2.2 pounds dumbbells. On each hand. :ohdear: Hey brahs... my spine is killing me lately, it hurts a lot when I'm in the Machine Chest Flye for example. Quite discouraging.
just did chest day cannot flex pecs [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] also how come my arms get tired from Dumbbell pressing?
Dumbbell press works tri´s too. Also, about to do leg day and will hopefully squat 285 Fuck I´m hungover. If not that could be your problem. That´s kind of weird that chest flies are doing that to you. Make sure you don´t arch your back when you do it. Keep your back straight. [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] Oh and yeah curl bro´s suck
It's funny how openly steroids are sold down my gym. Couple of blokes sitting at the reception counter having a conversation, member of staff a couple of feet away from them. Bloke takes out his wallet and pulls out wad of cash, places it on the counter, other bloke reaches into his bag and pulls out brown bottle of roids. Transaction done, nobody bats a eyelid. Have even seen empty needle packets in the toilet bins too. Classy.
Same here, it's so awkward to enter the dressers, and all the bros are injecting each other stuff.
Don't know what kind of gym you go to but I never walk into the changing rooms to find men injecting eachother...

When I went to gym the first time, I used the bar and maybe 10 lbs for bench press. EDIT: and was about 220 lbs and 6 feet

Now that I think about it though he is pretty small.
Also I started out doing 25plates for reps. now im up to a little bit above 45plates for reps. Hopefully by next year I will be repping 2plate
I started working out about nine months ago, three times a week at the gym. 170cms tall (5'7'' or something I think) and weigh 51kg (112lbs?). One thing I'm curious about is why I don't seem to gain any weight when I've gotten stronger. Also, is there certain things I can do that works out only one side of my abs and lower back? I'm a bit uneven in those parts but didn't notice it until someone commented on it.

need some advice here bros. i have no bar at home to do pull-ups on, and i won't be able to afford one for a while. is there any other exercise i can do which really works the back like pull-ups do? i do have a beam outside in my backyard which i can do pull-ups on, but it's square and awkward as hell to pull myself up on. i can only do around 12 reps on the square beam while on a proper bar i can do 25-30 reps, so i think i'm holding myself back on pull-ups by using a square beam. if you guys can recommend me some exercises that really hit the spot like pull-ups do then that will be great. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] also what do you guys mean by "split", like when you say you have a 3 day split etc. i don't really keep up with the bro terms
talking about pull ups done wrong i have no idea what she's doing but she isn't doing any pull ups
Pretty decent ab workout there. Also, she's fit in two senses of the word.

If so try these... http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/detail/view/name/incline-bench-pull A split is your work out schedule [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Also on those I would recommend you keep your legs straight to keep you from cheating. Some people rest their legs on a bench or something like that.
my upper pecs are pretty big, but my lower are kind of lame. how can i balance out the mass in my pecs for ultimate aesthetics??
