<3 so much love in here right now [editline]7th March 2011[/editline] Great work on the bulk, man. Those are some kick ass gains. Great luck on the cut. I'm so far dissatisfied with my bulk but I'm prob not going to start until late April since I don't feel like I have much to cut currently. Am I a pretty queen princess fairy?
lol thanks for changing the quote, the fat ass part really made me feel loved but thanks, my cut is going freaking awesome, our uni has this end of year party here in a month and I'm hoping I can go shirtless like zyzz does at festivals and hit on all the sluzzas [editline]8th March 2011[/editline]
Brahhhhhhhhhs....... I hate my left shoulder. It seems like I pull it by doing fucking nothing. This is like the second time in 30 days.
brah, rest it. if it is already twice a month, then give it a week off. do some back, bis, abs, and legs all week, or maybe cardio. skip out on the chest shoulders and tris, let the shoulder heal. now, after it's healed stretch it out, A LOT, some people don't stretch enough, they just do it for 3 seconds and think it's all good no, hold the stretch for 30 seconds although lots of people say stretching decreases strength in your workout, frankly, idgaf, I would rather lift less weight and be safe than lift massive weight and fuck myself up and miss other workouts nomsayin
Pretty bummed that I had to switch to home training. I liked to go to the gym. :( Well anyways I think I'll go buy some dumbells today so I can atleast do something at my place other than pushups etc... I also have this fucking awesome hill that has like 300 steps all the way to the top. I'll run up there three times a week. Taking two steps per step. Man it burns like fuck!!
I started lifting dumbbells at home for about 3 weeks now, I can see my arm getting bigger. Feels good man. I also started jogging regularly and I feel good about my self.
I'm planning to join a local gym and stick with it, so can anyone give me any pointers as to what sort of routine I should be doing?

[editline]8th March 2011[/editline]
I'm planning to join a local gym and stick with it, so can anyone give me any pointers as to what sort of routine I should be doing?
Do you want like a full routine or just a spread that just gives you a list of thing you should work? If it's the ladder try something like day 1- back, bi's, tri's day 2-rest day 3- legs day4-rest day 5- chest, shoulders, traps day 6- rest day 7- rest Feel free to move the days around. When making this I'm assuming you're a beginner so I gave you a beginner split. As you begin to get stronger you'll want to grow up to a more serious split. That should be around 1-3 months. Also, throw abs either on some of the rest days or if you really want to on the days you work out (but I feel like that will be a lot of work). You should work out abs 2-4 times a week. And man you got this shit and you're going to get all dem bishes
Back in business, did biceps and back (and abs of course) yesterday and seems like I hadn't lost any strength even though I feared so. Feels good man. The resistance bands I'm now using for back training are godlike, down from 40+ reps to around 8-12
Bought a 20kg dumbell kit. 10kg per hand or 20kg for one hand. Carried it home. Walked 15km....my arms are like a pair of noodles.

god damn i love this, finally making noticeable gains, legs and arms are blowing up, woohoo! Just need to get my desirable chest, then it's off to the beach.

I hate how Facepunch makes a new pages in anticipation of getting one and then I have to click on it a couple times to make sure there actually isn't a new page there, grr. EDIT: and, hem hem, did the stretches today, haven't lost too much stretchiness so all is good. Spring is also coming so my dreaded uphill running with weighs is also coming closer.
I have built up a routine of wake up 2 sets of 20 press ups in the morning then a jog round the block twice then at lunchtime i go benchpress in my school gym and do 20 situps after a nice workout. Then a jog home and proceed to do a cross trainer and benchpress at my cosins place.
Where da bulk-up guide thread at?
Where da bulk-up guide thread at?
nowhere yet I don't get why people need guides for bulking up. eat a shit ton lift hard sleep repeat
Me neither. I can understand cutting guides, but bulking sound p. easy.
nice work, buddy. Keep it up.
Thanks. I've also improved my diet and haven't been eating shitty food and been drinking a lot more water.
Back in business, did biceps and back (and abs of course) yesterday and seems like I hadn't lost any strength even though I feared so. Feels good man. The resistance bands I'm now using for back training are godlike, down from 40+ reps to around 8-12
yeah unless you are losing lots and lots of weight, it takes quite a while for strength to go away [editline]8th March 2011[/editline]
Where da bulk-up guide thread at?
working on the bulking/cutting thread it's still in progress I've been ultra busy with uni and friends and shit so it might take a bit :( I had one 90% made but then my computer crashed before I saved it
*sigh* Getting enough weigh to squat is nigh impossible without a squat rack, been trying to come up with a way for 2 hours now with no avail. Best I've come up with is to have the weighs tied hanging to a pole and the pole on the table so that I only need to bend 90 degrees to grab the damn thing behind my shoulders, but jesus christ at the inconvenience and the terrible terrible clattering and clomping of the weighs *angry*. This because having 20kg dumbells doesn't do much anything and keeping the grip requires so much of my atttention it becomes more a grip excercise and less a squatting excercise.
Without a squat rack it's hard. In the mean time can't you do lunges with the 20KG dumbells? Should give your quads and glutes a decent workout
I started weightlifting about 2 times a week about 2-3 weeks ago. Now that wrestling season is over I can go more often with my wrestling friends. Fuck damn some of the things are to even understand what I was even supposed to do. We were doing cleans, and apparently I was curling it up, and I didn't understand what I was doing wrong. Then some buff kid came along and really broke it down so now I understand it, but damn, I had no idea what I was even looking for the 20 times my friend tried to show me what to do. I really like how nice everyone in gyms are though. Like that guy that helped, and last week I was in there and I just went up to a kid who was nearby when he was done with his set, and said hey, what do you use this for, or how do you do this, and he was really patient. I have also felt kinda sore almost everyday since I started because I had done literally almost no exercise in a year, but even though I'm sore, it's a good kind of pain, and I'm not a masochist. I feel a lot better since I started working out. [editline]9th March 2011[/editline] Now I'm doing tennis conditioning for around an hour on Mondays and Thursdays, weightlifting on Tuesdays and Fridays for 1-1:30 hours, lower body Tuesday, upper body Friday, and tennis captains practice on Wednesday from 8:00-10:00. [editline]9th March 2011[/editline] Also my neck hurts from where the bar rests on my neck when I do squats, do I just need to support the bar more with my arms? Also, are you supposed to go below 90 degrees, because one of my friends goes down so the back of his legs touch his calves.

If I could, I'd grab a 220 lb farmers and walk with those fuckers for fun. I fucking love that shit. Too bad no one is competitive enough here..

girls shouldn't have visible veins on their arms.
girls shouldn't have visible veins on their arms.
You guys are taking this to the extreme. Too lazy to upload more. But I think that's damn sexy.
I don't.
girls should be soft
hey guys i wanna lose some fat and build muscle. preferably lose fat first though. im trying to limit myself to 2k calories a day for a few weeks then move down till i can keep myself at 1500 calories. what kind of exercises can i do that will help this? i am doing pushups and sits ups, but i think i can do more. I would rather not go to the gym since its so fucking boring and i get discouraged way to easily going. i have 2 sets of 5 lbs dumbells and some resistance bands i also play drums and am trying to increase my roll speeds which i know builds muscle
Go jogging or swimming or biking or hiking or climbing or crosscountry skieing or something which gets your heartrate up. Also curl for the girls.
