you really dont , spotters dont matter. doing a half assed attempt on a shitty routine is why you arent seening any results . undertraining = under eating ( most of the times) . get a good routine ( THE. ONES. I. TOLD. YOU) and eat more of pretty much everything ( only if you feel you arent making good gains)
Hey Casusv3. You seem like a pretty chill guy, and you sure seem to enjoy writing a lot on this forum. Could you tell me a little bit about some of your suggested routines? Just a little bit, their general structure, and why they are so much better than the split routines I see just about everyone at my gym doing?
My hip flexors/legs are slightly bigger than I want them to be at this point. How to devise a routine to neglect legs? I still want to workout 4 days a week but I just want to toss legs out the window.

Just lift, up the lbs' until you finally reached a level where you can actually start focusing on the small details. Currently, 99% here still have a lot to grow to. The problem with looking in the mirror and criticizing yourself, is that you see what is missing and not what you already have. You can't really get a full /general picture. My suggestion to you, is neglect the details rather than your legs. The untrained eye will probably never care or notice about your so so so abnormally "large" (not to disrepsect, just to put in porportion) hip flexors.

Think I'm gonna start fresh with a decent routine and up the diet (even more). I've been focusing too much on the details and massivley neglecting the big lifts such as bench, squat and deadlift. Infact, I've never done a set of squats or deadlifts in the year I've been down the gym. Waste of a year really but it's time to start doing some proper research and hitting the compounds hard and finishing off the details at a later date.

Will pushup with weights build a more muscular upperbody?
Will pushup with weights build a more muscular upperbody?
ittle make you better at pushups
I must say this Casusv3 guy isn't striking my fancy too well. His attitude isn't very nice, even if he might know what he's talking about.
Some of the best things in life are an acquired taste. I like the guy, I bet you sure can if you can take what he says without regarding much to his cynical tone of voice.
He gives good advice, looks like he can be a bit of a cunt about it sometimes but I'm like that anyways.

Is it still a stupid program? I'm not new to lifting, but in the past I've always done full body three times a week, 'cause that's what our swimming coach wanted. But now I have to make my own program, so I'd like it to be good.

Stop pushing so much as if you were on growth enchancing drugs. Just do the simple compound exercises with some 10x5 assistance exercises along with every compound lift. Your body needs time to adjust and rest, it's an equal part as much as workingout.
I don't see how it isn't possible. Don't know if it's good for me though. Probably pretty taxing on my body, atleast it seems i have no problem with sleeping for 11 hours straight.
Monday Chest/Back Tuesday Legs/Abs Wednesday Delts/Arms Thursday Chest/Back Friday Legs/Abs Saturday Delts/Arms i guess
Monday Chest/Back Tuesday Legs/Abs Wednesday Delts/Arms Thursday Chest/Back Friday Legs/Abs Saturday Delts/Arms i guess
I'd guess Monday to Saturday - Chest + biceps.

today some idiot at school told me that only women use protein because it "increases estrogen" facepalmed so hard, I almost broke my face
Some guy tried to tell me that Whey protein had some metal that's going to end up killing me. I just LOL'd and told him he was wrong [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] Also, I just ate a whole block of cheese with crackers. Fucking delicious.
Heavy metals present in any food you can eat isn't going to harm you lol, they're good for you, so even if it did you'd have the winning end of the stick
we was saying it had like a bunch of random shit like arsonic haha idk he so crazy
we was saying it had like a bunch of random shit like arsonic haha idk he so crazy
i remember a graph/article on it a while back but im not to sure the levels present were dangerous although still there , w/e deal w. it
Good core exercises I can do without weights? Maybe a video? Love video routines.
hst owns idiot, and the boring part is subjective. tbh all routines are boring
lol have u ever even done it? I did it, busted my ass, did everything down to the dot and got only slightly better results than usual [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
Heya, what should I eat if I just HAVE to eat and don't feel hungry anymore ? Want to try countering my too heavy training via eating :P
vegetables brah, have as much as you want also lean meats like chicken or turkey (breast) [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
Hey Casusv3. Deadlifts, is that an exercise that you won't do until you've gained a little mass and strength or can you do it even if you aren't particularly strong?
Had back today, and did 115kg/250lbs deadlifts for 3x6. Don't know if I'm just not used to pushing myself, but my deadlifts seem to be progressing hella fast. Just being proud of myself here I guess. [editline]16th March 2011[/editline]
Deadlifts, is that an exercise that you won't do until you've gained a little mass and strength or can you do it even if you aren't particularly strong?
lol deadlifts are something you SHOULD do, to gain mass and strength. but learn to do them right before you go very heavy.

Though he never showed me deadlifts, guess I have some homework to do before I head to the gym next time.
Bro, listen to your PT instead of some random guy on the internet. Or bring up deadlifts on your next meeting with him if you are eager to do them.
k just a heads up casus doesn't even lift so a lot of the stuff he says is just what he reads from other people, you guys gotta understand that personal experience changes everything he does not do deadlifts or squats lul sorry casus ur a p cool guy but until you actually start lifting I can only take you so seriously
uhhh lmao he doesnt know ive coached enough people to cover any personaly experiences you and probably half of this subforum combined have had. ps i squat more than most people here [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
Bro, listen to your PT instead of some random guy on the internet.
Im just usin some GNC brand stuff. it's pretty cheap.
I thought the GNC brand stuff was actually pretty good. It's definitely expensive over here; in the range of $60 a tub. I'm not a pro when it comes to supplements, though. Always up for suggestions.
