Had back today, and did 115kg/250lbs deadlifts for 3x6. Don't know if I'm just not used to pushing myself, but my deadlifts seem to be progressing hella fast. Just being proud of myself here I guess.
[editline]16th March 2011[/editline]
lol deadlifts are something you SHOULD do, to gain mass and strength. but learn to do them right before you go very heavy.
this, make sure you do them properly, always increase the weight gradually and nothing drastic, and the most important part is to keep your back straight, watch lots of vids dude

calling me mad is like going to fire and saying " u hot ???" or water and saying " u wet ??"
Come on guys, there are better ways to go about this discussion. I fuck up all of the time when I work out. Bad form, not stretching enough, changing weights from heavy to light at random times. I've been coached by a lot of different weight lifting friends, and one thing I've come to realize is that absolutely everyone has a different way of going about it. One friend who has had massive success with body building will criticize another friend's workout routine; someone who has also had massive success with it.
Body builders always disagree with eachother over technique; it makes the whole business of learning as a noobie incredibly hard because you don't know who to believe or what to do. I'm just at the point where I say fuck it. If it works it works, regardless of criticism. Seems like no one is ever in agreement when it comes to this stuff anyways.

Considering going on a run tonight as opposed to just lifting. I seem to have more stamina for lifting the day after a good run. Any suggestions?

What would be some good workouts for hockey? I'm 16 years old, 6 feet tall, and weigh 150.

hockey is mostly legs, shoulder strength would help too
do squats, deadlifts too, and try explosive movements like clean and jerks
for shoulders try over head press

When I'm lifting stuff in general, my muscles sometimes start to "shiver/shake". Why is this happening, and how do I stop it?
Captain of Crush hand gripper -> trains forearm strength. Got to 20 reps with 45 kg :D
When I'm lifting stuff in general, mu muscles sometimes start to "shiver/shake". Why is this happening, and how do I stop it?
It's because you are still weak and the high tension required to move the weight over the certain period of time is too high :P
You notice it every day in isometric training

So you closed the Trainer 20 times? I'd like to buy the whole set, so I'll have a perspective on that.
I'd rather go for Static Holds with the CoC's. TUT = Hypertrophy = Money. But that's a side effect I'd like to experience. What I'm really after is increasing my grip as much as possible. I like to grip stuff. Grip is everything.
I got back from climbing all day and my body is screaming. Still on break from lifting until next week. Get excitedddd

Is 3,000 Calories too low for bulking? Also, how long should one bulk before beginning to cut? I don't mean to gain much mass, I just want abs that don't look like a beer belly and biceps that don't look like dildos strapped to my arm when I do flies.

Not bad stats, man. And Idk if that qualifies as coaching but I get the gist of what you're saying. I respect you and think you do give a lot of good advice and I am even humored by your eccentric posting but you do sometimes come across as standoffish.
I mean it's whaturr but if you want to help people and shit, which is what this thread is for, you may want to be a little less so. I'm not trying to be your mom but I don't like seeing new posts and it's just you arguing with VQ (or someone else). Shit gets annoying tbh
