How many reps?
well I started with 10 on each then went down each set
yep, I read it`s THE best abs exercise ever also, if it gets easy, do it really really slow then if it gets easy again, hold a dumbbell between your feet while doing it
tbh squats and deadlifts , which hopefully are already in your routine ( if not then put them in ) already hit your abs p damn well/better/best
Don't use the shit he uses in the video either just hang from the bar and don't swing. Be slow and controlled [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Fuck you, Casus. Even though you're right now the placement of my comment is less fluid [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] to the conversation
;__; sorry buddy
yeah I know. I have straps for it, but I'll get a better forearm workout if I just hold the bar like normal.
yeah I agree, deads and squats are awesome for abs but leg raises are the best for isolation i saw crazy ab improvement when I started deadlifting, it was like an unexpected side effect, but twas good [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] when I do abs on arms days, I hold the bar for leg raises at a 90 degree angle, good arm burnout too
;__; sorry buddy
It's k. I know you didn't mean it <3 [editline]17th March 2011[/editline]
yeah I agree, deads and squats are awesome for abs but leg raises are the best for isolation i saw crazy ab improvement when I started deadlifting, it was like an unexpected side effect, but twas good [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] when I do abs on arms days, I hold the bar for leg raises at a 90 degree angle, good arm burnout too
Yeah DL's always give me some srs ab burn tbh. Looks like I'm on a rest week this week, gf is in hospital so gotta be ready to go whenever the phone rings. Bad start to the new programme. Will hit it hard next week, hopefully.
Damn, I seem to be losing more and more energy each week. I haven't taken a week break from the gym in over a year, shit, I haven't even taken a five day break. Anyone here have experience with creatine? I've heard it helps to replenish your energy and want to know if it's worth trying out. so is it?
I've begun using a 14kg dumbell behind my head (supporting it) while doing crunches. Dunno if this actually has any effect though, since it still feels pretty easy due to the range of motion growing less. Gets pretty awkward if I add any more weigh due to not having much hand space then. I also do hip raises and those keep legs in a kneeling position and roll them on your stomach as far as they go thing. So I have removed the rest of the ab moves I had before simply due to the fact I'm a lazy bastard and after those three I usually am so drained of energy I just give up.

[editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Also, I think we need to create a BB thread tiny chat for shits and giggles.
My limited knowledge of creatine... It allows the muscles to retain more water, given that we're mostly made up of water I would guess it would allow harder/longer training and keeping the muscles looking fuller. I'm pretty sure someone will be along with more knowledge or stick it into google and see what it throws at you.

Also, taking a week off from ALL physical activity once in a while does wonders. But yes, creatine is a great supplement. the reason it gives you that `bloated` look and makes you look a bit bigger is because of the increase in water retention. It keeps your muscles properly hydrated all the time, so you will feel much less tired the next day, and even increase your lifts a bit (don't expect magic, something like maybe a 5-10 pound increase on bench after a bit). It also helps in the conversion of ATP in the whole energy thing. Try it out, but stick to the simple stuff, like creatine monohydrate.
Damn, I seem to be losing more and more energy each week. I haven't taken a week break from the gym in over a year, shit, I haven't even taken a five day break
did ur diet change the past month?
The ONLY bad thing I`ve heard about it so far is that taking creatine (like testosterone) shuts off your body`s natural creatine production, which COULD be a problem in the long run (was not studied yet) and they have found traces of creatine in your brain and such so this could be a possible problem (idk like I said it hasn`t been studied yet) [editline]17th March 2011[/editline]
Looks like I'm on a rest week this week, gf is in hospital so gotta be ready to go whenever the phone rings. heard creatine causes acne probably broscience but I'm gonna avoid it for a while
heard creatine causes acne probably broscience but I'm gonna avoid it for a while
I heard that too, really don't know how it could but better safe than sorry I guess.
The only downside you'll see from taking a lot of creatine is a fat face. Not sure why but it's only your face that swells a bit.
The only downside you'll see from taking a lot of creatine is a fat face. Not sure why but it's only your face that swells a bit.
Actually everything else swells up. You look and get a little bit bigger, pretty much everywhere. Most noticeable is your arms.
How about the dick? Srs question.
How about the dick? Srs question.
In your case, it won't matter much.
Actually everything else swells up. You look and get a little bit bigger, pretty much everywhere. Most noticeable is your arms.
it's cause creatine helps your body store water and shit better yo
it's cause creatine helps your body store water and shit better yo
way ahead of u bro :c00l: couple posts above
But yes, creatine is a great supplement. the reason it gives you that `bloated` look and makes you look a bit bigger is because of the increase in water retention.
Oh hi there people i'm some guy who's never posted here and probably seldomly will, but i lurk. I go to my school's weight room and have been for about 2 months, twice a week. A week and a half ago i started doing mostly situps and ab work outs because i got all arm strength and little ab strength. And that week and a half ago i started doing situp while holding on to a small weight, i think 10 pounds. I did 50 before i stopped and ever since that i've had this incredibly bad, sharp pain in a very small area of my abs. Did i pull something? I've pulled muscles but the pain would subside in a day or two, this has last almost 12 days so far and its preventing me from a lot of work outs.
Hnnng I don't know how to read. This is so hard [editline]17th March 2011[/editline]
Oh hi there people i'm some guy who's never posted here and probably seldomly will, but i lurk. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone pulling an abdominal but idk I'm not a doctor. I'd get it checked out
