sorry, but you just did the same thing you accused casus for doing, rockmylife. where's your medical journals / experiments, and other such proof for your hypothesis?
Unless you give Proof (medical journals/ experiments) then no one will believe your opionion. .
i know im late but Casusv 3 is just looking for attention by baiting us and argueing for the sake of it. Unless you give Proof (medical journals/ experiments) then no one will believe your opionion. Also its not actually the cardio that burns the majority of the fat/calories, its the increased metabolism after and our bodys converting stored glycogen in our liver and fat stores and transporting it into our muscles to be used. And our body also reconverting lactic acid back into glucose.
Firstly,
The same goes to you. 99% of what he says is legit. I will support everything with medical journals if nessecary.
Also, unless it's uni-level biology, it's worth shit. Depends on what edition you're using and a lot of other factors. Most books are simplified for easy studying and conveying material. Just because you think you learned some hi-school biology, doesn't make you a genius.
Secondly,
you got it all mixed up. How did you get from burning fat and calories to increased metabolism after acute exercise to the mechanisms of glycogenesis ?
Thirdly,
energy expenditure after actue resistance training does actually exist, that you're right about. Yet, according to all the studies I could pull out, it doesn't allow enough room to be able to call RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) the all mighty solution for all fat-loss problems. The exercise still itself burns more calories than the total energy expenditure the day after your workout. Studies are not perfect on that study, so I can't give you a full answer. As a diabetic, I can tell the energy exp the follow day indeed does increase, but the amount is not that great calorically speaking. If I were to base my fat-loss on that, I won't lose much.
Also, According to another study, diet has a 89% chance if I remember correctly, to effect body more than the exercise itself (Can link that, just not right now)
Starting to go to the gym and exercise next week. 3 times a week, before work. Going with a co-mate who I drive with to work. That way he'll force me to continue with this, because I'm a lazy bastard who needs to get kicked in the ass to actually go through with something
carbohydrates good for cutting?
lol
lol
theres nothing funny about that , carbohydrates are fine for cutting . if you think reducing carbs offers any greater effect than reducing waterweight youre retarded

if you`re cutting, try and have low/very low carb days, as in, the days you`re working out, have low, but days when you`re not, have very low
so on a day you workout, you can have like half a serving of potatoes or whatever
Getting 2 new dumbbells. I only had around 12 kg for the old ones I had, and they didn't use the same kind of weights as my barbell.
played tennis for two hours today and am fixing to head over to the climb wall with a cute female friend of mine, who's ~*newly single*~

Took a look in the mirror, can begin to see abs when flexing. First time ever.
I still have a bit of a gut though, but that's mainly because I have a condition called pectus excavatum where I have a kind of hole between my pecs.
I am going to lift so much heavy shit tomorrow.

I can't believe how people can stop working out after having done it for a couple of months. I can't even imagine stopping now. Truly a lifestyle change.
