chest and shoulders today. DB press time. I'm going to shoot for 110's mabes.
Did squats for the first time today. Hurt like hell on my neck. What am I doing wrong?
I just noticed how small my upper body is compared to my lower body
fuck my life

You probably have the bar too high up. It should be resting on your lower traps
I had it really close to my neck. I'll lower it next time then.
Then yeah that was definitely your problem. Just take some time to find a place where it is comfortable for you.
Cheeeesttt dayyyyy

I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but I could feel I also used my lower back a bit.
I can't imagine NOT using my lower back when squatting.
Eat less calories than you burn to lose fat?
Dude. He's 163lbs at 6'1 and you're telling him to burn fat?
He needs to bulk like a motherfucker. He is at worst, skinny fat, which is rectified by putting on mass.
I weight about 130lbs at 5'9 but have nice muscles and six pack. Can someone tell me how to bulk up without losing my muscles and sixpack?
I don't think you know what bulking means. When you bulk, you eat a shitload because if you don't, your body won't get bigger muscles. You might lose sight of your sixpack, but that's only because there's some fat in front of it. It's still there.
Arms today, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

who gives a fuck about a sixpack.. It's worth bulking and losing your sixpack for a little while then cutting back down. You'll look a lot better.
Did legs at the gym today. Felt like passing out afterwards. Just means I didn't go hard enough on legs!

A) nobody GIVES A FUCK about your shitty abs. Starving Ethiopians have abs too.
B) Eat motherfucker. If you're training hard and getting good quality rest, the rate of of muscle gain will outpace the rate of fat gain, chances are you will actually lose bodyfat, or at the very least maintain the same BF% you are now.
Well worth going for it with legs day, it aids muscle growth all over as when you work your legs hard your body produces a lot more testosterone than normal, promoting muscle growth all over. That's why you can't afford to leave your legs out.
I'd probably be seeing much better results down the gym if I gave up smoking and drinking. Such a hard sacrifice, especially drinking. Smoking I could do without quite easily.

It's not just the testosterone, it's also because training legs enhances a lot of your lifts and just looks a whole lot better than running around on a pair of chicken legs.
anyone done the insanity\p90x programs?
im taking on the challenge to do insanity (not to expect the results from the commercials, but just to drop 40 lbs hopefully).
if you did them what were your results at the end? (again, i know they probably exaggerate quite a bit on the tv)

T__T y u believe everything on tv
uh because ive heard about it other than on tv. i just happened to notice a few tv spots while watching tv late at night.
im reading a few reviews what seem like actual people who did it as opposed to people who are obviously paid to say "dis is grate". most people are saying it works pretty good and you get decent results.
i was just wondering if anyone here did it and how they came out

put the bar lower but not too low, you just have to play around with it
it hurt my neck when I started too, my face started turning purple because it was resting on my neck and like cutting everything off lol

oh and if your back hurts then you might not be keeping it straight the whole time, remember not to cruve it even when you lean it forward a bit

sick link brah
watched it all, informative
but yeah like casus said, even for bench, there is a powerlifting style and there is a normal style and they are both dimensions apart
To the guy who asked about P90X, I did it, lost 9 kgs of weigh, so that's about 20 lbs?
What's your guy's opinions on Cashews with dried fruit? Great snack in 100g portions but quite a high fat and sugar/carb content, while some of it is good fat, quite a lot isn't. I'm not on the strictest of cutting diets but I'm trying to trim a little more fat before my holiday in June. Are nuts too fatty to be included in my diet? If they are, what's a good replacement mid-afternoon snack to boost energy levels and take in a good amount of protein before the gym?
