Is it possible to bulk without actually gaining fat? Do you need more calories than you use to gain muscle or is it just because it's close to impossible to count the exact amount you eat/need so people generally eat too much. Everyone always says you can't gain muscle while losing fat, but I've definitely gained a lot of muscle (mass and strength) over the last 6 months and I've definitely lost a lot of fat as well. Can anyone explain?

Can anyone explain?
It is possible, but like casus said, complicated. Generally speaking, if you are training hard enough, you most likely will bulk while lowering or at least maintaining your bf%. So while you may gain a bit of fat, your overall BF% is lowering because of increased lean mass. As for losing body fat while gaining muscle, this is a common thing in your first 10-15lbs of muscle gain, this is especially common in teenagers.
with really fat people its to be expected to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time , also bulking with minimal fat gain will lower/maintain bodyfat % ( while still keeping the same amount of fat there)
Yeah, I can testimony for the really fat people lose fat while gaining muscle part.
Aight brah's. I decided I was pussy-ol'ing too much before so I'm stepping my game/gains up. 21's are motherfuckers, My biceps are burning balls right about now.
1) expand on the first point 2) in what way do 21s have any advantage over full rom x5-8 curls
but brah, I feelz it more so it must be better lrn2 bodybuild geez
1) expand on the first point 2) in what way do 21s have any advantage over full rom x5-8 curls
Was just generally being shit and not really having a good plan. 21's were an opening exercise, done in 3 sets, to precede a superset consisting of pullups and curls. The advantage was to begin intense circulation prior to the standard curls, pullups and later close-grip chest presses.
Thanks for the fucking advice. Didn't really help me but atleast you helped, asshole. Anyway I'm now eating 20% more than I'm capable of. If I eat more I simply vomit :p
nah, usually for breakfast I will have cottage cheese with some coffee for a snack I'll have about 3-4 servings of vegetables protein shake (30g) with a banana and milk lunch is whole wheat tortilla and 5 pieces of lean turkey wrap post workout is 30 g protein shake again dinner is 1-2 chicken breasts with steamed vegetables, and like 1/3rd of a serving of rice or potatoes or something for drinks I only have water or tea with honey
i dont see really anything wrong other than it seems fairly low on protein but you said abs were kicking in so im just going to say keep it up/increase protein and run 3x a week @ what i told you
or you know you could not have a bloated routine with 3 exercises for one muscle group and make curls/pullups your warm up sets
You're not the authority on muscle building because you read 'Starting Strength' on a 4chan thread, no matter how much it may pain you to realise it. It's undeniable, there's effective and non-effective ways of building muscle, it just depends what your end goals are that determines which path you should take.

5-day split here come at me
I don't know why some of you proceed to disagree with Gaysus. His advice is pretty fucking thorough. Sure he can be a bit of a troll about it but a majority of what he says is right. He backs up all he says with legitimate articles. Also, come at me, bro.
Chill day today. Went down to the store and bought some pop & smirnoff vodka.. pulled the couch up to the computer, sat back and watched Wrestlemania 27. Pretty excited for arms tomorrow, though. Btw, if anyone hates on the WWE, come at me.
