maybe that's why i was messing up so bad okay
Sorry if I sound like a retard here but I'm a bit of a retard. I've tried losing weight and building muscle a few times before but it's never really worked out. I always lose motivation on a holiday or something and gain weight again. What's a good way to stay motivated and what are some easy, basic workouts that lead onto harder workouts? I have a set of weights at my disposal and a treadmill. I'm not sure if it matters but I have around 40 kilos on my barbell atm, and my treadmill goes up to 8.8 mph. My main problem is that I tend to not eat much on school days then come home, resist the urge to snack, then go straight onto working out, which exhausts me because I have no energy.
i'm gonna go try right now [editline]27th February 2011[/editline] wow that's way better :D thanks man
Also, another good tip I've read is to curl your toes and push off the heels of your feet. Keep the bar close to you shins but not so close that you hit them.
You pretty much answered for yourself. Keep yourself motivated. If something is important to you, go mad at it.
I'm confused. Is it basically a sideways one armed push up?
Basically you lay sideways. Then you use your left arm to push up and down.

You want to eat enough so your body will have energy but also so you are operating at a calorie deficit. [editline]27th February 2011[/editline]
Basically you lay sideways. Then you use your left arm to push up and down.
Ok that sounds like I'm right in what I was thinking then. That's pretty good, man. I successfully did my 4:35 planks today. I wanted to kill myself after but i continued and did straight leg raises with a 65lb dumbbell for 5 reps. Good work out today but now I need to shower.
Overhand is fucked. Never use overhand, undergrip on both hands is the way to go.
Are you insane breh? Enjoy tearing your bicep.
I don't know what to think
Are you insane breh? Enjoy tearing your bicep.
Shit. Fucked up mixup, I meant Overhand. Haha, sorry. That's exactly why I never use underhand. Doesn't feel comfy also.
hook grip 4 lyfe come @ me
You can't even deadlift.
You can't even deadlift.
dont mean i dont know how ~
why not? [editline]27th February 2011[/editline] oh, me too man
because my back is full on retard when i deadlift and gives out.
Is it bad that I exercise everything at once? I go every other day for the most part, but if I'm particularly sore I'll wait another day. I don't really blow out my muscles when I go, just give them a decent workout which I usually recover from after a day's rest.
so you have a full body workout and expect to do it again the next day? wot
No, two days later. I don't really hit them super hard since I'll be back two days later. I'm just asking if it diminished effects from the workout or something.
I did legs today Squats with schoolbag + weights = my legs are shaking
what does that even mean you squatted witch a schoolbag lol wut [editline]28th February 2011[/editline]
i've looked at a few guides of how to deadlift with correct form so i don't injure myself, i'd love to be able to do them but really, i'm definitely doing them wrong, my lower back cricks when i try, even with 20kg LAME
bring ur chest up, flex ur abs and lower back, bring ur neck up, use mixed grip, make the leg motion and back motion a mixed motion, not one after the other, and keep the bar close to your shins
lmao squats with an extra 15 lbs made your legs shake
Overhand is fucked. Never use overhand, undergrip on both hands is the way to go.
mixed grip is the way to go brah, underhand has a possibility of bicep tear but really it gives you 10x better grip just don`t do stupid weight [editline]28th February 2011[/editline]
Sorry if I sound like a retard here but I'm a bit of a retard. Goddang, I'm getting sick. HNNGH! Guess I'll be staying at home to avoid making it worse, even though I'm gonna regret it because of all the missed lectures. In other news, managed to curl 20kg (44lbs) once in the weekend, whoo!

I needed more sleep time to properly rest my muscles, lol. Brb failing every class.
