Depends, if done properly your body should release growth hormones and if you keep a good track of your diet it should actually enhance muscle growth and fat loss.
[editline]...[/editline]
Although 45 minutes is a bit long for hiit.
A question: when Casus gave me my current schedule, he also suggested I eat two loaves of bread once a week for a carb overdose. Does that mean I eat two loaves of bread on top of what I should eat anyways, or should I eat two loaves of bread plus whatever is required to hit 2000 calories (if any)?
In other news, 2,5 kgs of water lost in four days, not too shabby :P
I hurt my fanger climbing. ¿WHAT DO?

this is why I hate my fucking sports lesson, should be a lifting lesson instead

I'm glad I don't have to do that stuff anymore.
We had some very lame ass gay shit lessons like thai bo aerobic dancing.
I hope they've spared you that shit.

With the way the society is going, especially you yanks, there would be lawsuits all over the place when people injure themselves lifting at school.
Who is you yanks? Is NotMeh a yank?
I can tell you I'm not a yank, I live in the Netherlands the last country in the world where you will win a lawsuit because you injured yourself during weight lifting.
Winning a lawsuit here ain't that easy and even if you win don't expect millions of euros, all they'll give you is an apology, 10euro and a bag of dutch liquorice.
No, we still know what the word 'accident' means and if accidents happen, well, tough luck, just deal with it.
I just assume because the majority here are American.
You're right though, it seems that for every incident someone has to be to blame, and that someone should stump up compensation, as if it's their god given right that they're entitled to it.

It's not gay, it's ultra gay.
Hello, I am underweight, I've asked people about this before and got the usual "eat more" response. The thing is, I do, and I don't put on anything. It's starting to really annoy me. I go to the gym to build muscle, and I've definitely noticed a change. But I'm still skinny enough that people comment on it. What should I do?

eat even more (try 4000+ cals if nothing works)
lift heavier and get a decent routine
Eat more. No really. EAT MORE.
Most people say things such as: 'I eat a lot!' or 'I do eat more already!', but when looking at the statistics they still don't eat enough.
Can you tell us what you eat and how much you eat?

Would you recommend a food diary? I'm not too keen on chicken but I'll eat it every day if it helps. Any other meats that are as rich in protein would be nice though.

Starting from tomorrow I'll keep a food diary and post it here every other day or so.

use either this thing or Livestrong MyPlate to get yourself a diet
just aim for 3500+ cals, no shitty food like chocolate but fast food is fine in your case
if food doesn't work get a weight gainer

Another tip is to eat more frequently. Basically, you want to be in a state of constant eating. Have a bag of trail mix or nuts or something protein rich.
Awww man, skipped gym today but I've been feeling fucked all day! Decent night rest tonight and will hit the gym twice tomorrow.
Came here, saw a dozen posts, expected to find an answer to my question, was greatly disappointed.

Why don't you ask Casus what he meant? I would have assumed he meant the latter but IDK since if memory serves me correctly you're trying to lose a good deal of weight.
[editline]14th April 2011[/editline]
THERE YOU HAPPY????
NO!
What kind of an answer is that anyways, this and that and I don't know :P
He's not online so can't really ask, so I'm just hoping someone knows what he was talking about. Especially you Binsky since he told me he had given a schedule for you too?
Please answer fast bros, I will go to Gym in about 5 minutes.
Today is leg day, and pretty much all I do is the squat rack with good weight.
But is there a need for isolated leg work outs?

Do you feel there's a need?
Do you feel there's a need?
No, I am satisfied with the squats, but I see other dudes at the Gym, doing both squats and isolated leg work outs, incluiding the gluteous maximus.
He meant the first. He wants you to carb overload to stimulate further fat loss (You said you were 2000 cals right? sounds too low for bulking). Eat the bread, ignore the calorie limitation. It's once a week for a reason.

No need when you're a beginner. You can use squats alone, for a year and get good results. Isolation work comes later, when you've hit decent numbers on the main lifts. No need.
Alright, kinda tought so, thanks Seith.

Eat. Don't count calories, just eat until you are full and cannot eat anymore, wait a few hours and you'll be hungry again. Repeat.
Also I got my first gym injury today.
Was doing chest dips on a captains chair and went deep, then moved my neck, got a horrible headache and an immediate sharp pain between my neck and my head. Bad one! Hope it doesn't impede my workouts the next few days.
I'll start eating properly soon, I've got a stomach bug now though and am currently constantly running between my bedroom and the bathroom.
