So today I had my track meet. It has been 3 weeks since my last meet and the 2 weeks after it consisted of doing nothing since practice was cancelled because of rain and spring break. I lost about a foot in shotput and I don't know what I got in Discus.
Anybody have good throwing advice or workouts to help me gain some distance?

I've been eating as healthily as I know how (I know little about nutrition), doing basic calisthenics, and have been running a mile twice a week.
I need a starting point. For me, that is learning as much as possible about something before I jump into it.
I will consume as much nutritional and body building information as I can find. Can you guys help me out?

Not really, just practice a lot, A LOT.
And if you have a bad coach look up proffesionals on youtube.
Lifting wise do lots of olympic lifts, squats ect. Our team hasn't lifted since indoor season except maybe like once a week, but we were squatting almost every day we worked out, did some variation of cleans ect.
I'm a bit frustrated too, I'm throwing about 150 in discus, but I can't reverse and as a result scratch. Shotput is going good though, hit 50' my second outdoor meet.

I ate 1500 calories worth of chocolate, plus a cheesepie and a few karelian pastries plus toppings and more at my parents plus grandma. Now back at home, alone, too lazy to make food.
