How often do you do it? What else do you do?
Currently three times a week, alongside my arm shoulder and back routine
How many times do you work out a week? You need a couple of rest days.
Work out tuesday wednesday and thursday, rest friday saturday, work out sunday, rest monday, repeat
My parents took my keys away to my car so I had to walk 4.5 miles to the gym and back. A total of 9 miles :(
Would the 5x5 would be good start for me this summer (i got hired, so funds) after a year without access to a gym or money enough to buy a dumbbell? I've been looking around and asking around but I haven't gotten any good routine to lose body fat and gain some muscle. I'm not looking to get ripped fast as fuck, I just want to get lean within a good time frame. It's also hard to eat properly when you have limited funds, limited options (no oven or stove) but I'm more than willing to take up your suggestions. Hell, add me on steam and maybe you can help me with myself? :3:
I sort of drew a conclusion, that if I'm at 13% BF right now, ideally I would like to be around 9% but I should mainly focus on building muscle now. So basically I wish to lose aprox 8 to 9 lbs of body fat in about 40 days! Realistic or not? How I plan on doing this, Eat more healthy foods, more frequent meals, more sleep, more healthy fats. And my 5x a week weight lifting sessions. Along with about 20 minutes of running every day ( Getting to the Gym and back). Going to consume about 1700-1850 calories a day.
You're not going to drop much fat like that at 145lbs 13% bodyfat. Cut harder. I consumed like 1000 cals a day (keep in mind I also outweigh you by like 20-25lbs) on my brief cut that I decided to stop doing because I don't give a shit about my fat. (It worked really fucking fast)
I've been reading that book, and I just passed the part when he says that it's basically impossible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.
um not really [editline]15th May 2011[/editline]
You're not going to drop much fat like that at 145lbs 13% bodyfat. Lmao casus did you really prescribe him a 1000 calories a day diet? No muscle loss Perfumly you fat fuck? [editline]16th May 2011[/editline]
I've been reading that book, and I just passed the part when he says that it's basically impossible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.
It's not impossible at all, it's just entirely inefficient to try to do so. Like most people would be spinning their wheels big time.

so did he idiot
so did he idiot
I know, but he quit, so I don't know how it would work in the long run.
( it would work fine , because you dont know the breadth of the precautions i went through to prevent any ill effects) ( he quit because it was hard and he stopped caring about fat)
No muscle loss. Srs. My bodyweight exercises even improved a lot because of the fat loss even when I had no energy due to no carbs. [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] Also pre-few weeks of cutting and post-few weeks of cutting shit works
@Seith These aren't stupid questions. Chest proportion issues aren't uncommon, you could help the kid out instead of telling him to not ask "those kind of questions". Seems like a legitimate question to me. Why would you argue that you can develop an eight-pack without the right genetics? That's obviously false, why are there pro bodybuilders that only have six-packs? In case you didn't know, genetics play a huge role in certain features of your body, most notably in the abs.
Even if that's the case, you're not at a bodybuilding level to call such claims. They're tried to achieve.. oh trust me.
That's interesting as fuark I would've thought fat loss would've came to a grinding halt after a week or two on such low cals, especially considering you're like what 6'1 or something? [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] Tell me more, what were the macros like,
Macros - 200g protein and trace carbs and fats which put me at about 1k a day. and yeah I'm 6'1
AHahhaha on man casus put you on a protein fast, that shit would've sucked balls mentally
It did. I had to cheat with a couple potato chips or a little piece of chocolate a day to survive
Lol mang, how did u get 200g of protein per day with 1000 calories? I must know, I want to do what you do!
skinless boneless chickenbreast whey protein shrimp tuna that is all
If it isn't to much to ask, could you tell me the portions of dat shiet? Sry for breaking ur balls. [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] Holy hell Tuna is loaded with Protein, gaddamn, one cup of tuna is over 50g of protein and about 240 calories. SHIT SON! Tomorrow I buy Tuna and shrimp.
i wish i enjoyed tuna. it makes me puke
chuna
skinless boneless chickenbreast whey protein shrimp tuna that is all
Sounds awful tbh
awful as in
I do fine with my 750g of beef, 1 liter of milk and 0,5 liters of vitaminized juice a day at 2k calories or so. I believe that's around 170g of protein or something.
