Hey people. I am really concerned about all the 'deformities' of my body, why don't I look like others? What's messing up with my physique? Here are two pictures, has anybody seen something similar? What it is? I see that my abdominus rectus looks like it is sticking out way too much. It pokes out more than my chest. Today I'm having terrible lower back pains, and now I'm having a pain around my chest area. What's happening? I'm forced to use my lifting belt, to ease the pain right now. Today was deadlifts day, and back day. I'm having second thoughts about going... The chest pain is unusual, I think I will go to a doctor about it now. But doctors in Mexico are SHIT. So in the pictures, do you guys, know anything I have not spoted? [img_thumb]http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/dd338/AnemoneS2/wtf.png[/img_thumb] Oh and note here, how one of my shoulders and biceps is a lot smaller than the other, WTF.
Been to the gym thrice in the past week and now it feels like my triceps are swollen and it is slightly stiff. Is this natural or should I see someone about it?
Did you just start going to the gym? It's normal to have sore/slightly stiff muscles for 24-72 hours when you work them out.

Also when should I be taking protein? My roommate has like 4 tubs of whey he got for free so I'll see if I can pilfer some from him.
You might have pectus carinatum (a bit hard to see from the pics) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pectus_carinatum [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] @AnemoneS2
You might have pectus carinatum (a bit hard to see from the pics) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pectus_carinatum [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] @AnemoneS2
I think, that would be Pectus Excavatum, pointed out in previous pages by Binsky. I also have Lordosis. (A more pronounced curvature in my lower back) I'm thinking that those two TOGETHER, totally shit on my pysique. I mean, my abdominals look freaky. And I'm on a cut right now. But what is important to note is how, my abdominals stick more than my chest. A lot more, as if I had a belly pot. Also I'm looking at a picture of my back, the line in the middle, isn't completely straight. But not very noticeable. A doctor 4 years ago told me, I had rotoscoliosis, but we didn't believe him after seeing pictures of it on Google. Or it could be another "moderate case" Jesus Christ, there was a point I thought I was perfectly normal, and all of this is really getting me.
Yeah? You have short legs you say? this is for you then my faithless friend! http://stronglifts.com/lamar-gant-long-limbs-deadlift/ Just for the sake of everybody, here's the imporant part - Lamar Gant, he was the 1st man to Deadlift 5x body-weight: 661lb at 132lb. He later pulled 688lbs and is the world record holder in the 123lb and 132lb weight class. Lamar Gant is 15x IPF world champion, 18x National Champion and even made the Guinness Book of Records. Before you say that it was easier for him because he had gorilla like arms that almost reached the top of his knees, look at his other lifts. Lamar Gant was NOT just an amazing Deadlifter, he also achieved a 615lb Squat and 352lb Bench! Lamar Gant Benched 352lb at 132lb even though he had gorilla like arms. Add that Gant also had scoliosis, and as you can see on the picture below, he has a lot more curvature than StrongLifts Member Harrison (“Maslow”, page 69 in the 5×5 report) and I do. Maybe this was one of Gant’s motivation: keeping his back healthy by strengthening the surrounding muscles with heavy lifting. Lamar Gant had scoliosis and yet he became a world class lifter. If Lamar Gant could do it, why not you? [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] wat???
youve never seen people fuck up on mixed grip and pull with their bicep ( aka suddenly putting ~300 lbs on a bicep)? the way hands are positioned on the trap bar makes it easier to use your bicep in a curlish way
Here I am, weighing in at 145lbs.
dem veins [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] i am very vascular as well
In other news, I managed 4800 calories today.
Jesus Christ.
Any recommended sets for wrist curls with dumbells??
3/4 x 10/12 I'd assume.

Get larger pecs.

Mixed grip I understand. But you use a natural grip on a trap bar. That's like saying if I do shrugs, I have a chance of ripping my biceps. How the fuck, can you even curl, with a trap bar? The best you can do is hammer-curlish your way up, which is virtually impossible.
Can't do much shit right now, hurt my joints with too much martial arts ~~
in other news i just noticed we have flags under our avatars
Interesting. In other news, lightweight baby! Literally. I did squats with 30 kgs and deadlifts with 54 kgs. Lower back is nevertheless pretty tired and legs slightly shaky but nothing amazing. EDIT: Interesting, I have no events, it is as if I had never joined. WAIT WHAT?! Is this just a figment of my imagination?! NOOOOoooo...!

Good thing is, if they're sore after a workout, it means you're building muscle. And you won't have to worry about taking protein shakes for a loooong time, just try to eat more foods with protein. You might wanna take some vitamin supplements like zinc, too.
Good thing is, if they're sore after a workout, it means you're building muscle.
no it doesn't DOMS isn't an indicator of success and has never been one
Is it a good idea to do 100 push-ups a day? And if so, should I do it in: 6 sets of 15, 1 set of 10, or 4 sets of 25? Does it make a difference, will the latter have more effect?
It's a good idea if you want to be good at doing a lot of push ups. You won't get any stronger. [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] Am I the only one who doesn't believe Bale changed this much in 1 year without any steroids.
Does anyone else do Caveman Strength Training? My old wrestling coach invited me and my friends to workout it with him 3 times a week and we rarely do lifts but we do deadlift a lot and that's the only lifting. Cavemen didn't use machines. It consists of really really long tiring exercises for an hour with minimal breaks. Like some things we do, sprint 30 yards, drop do 30 full pushups, bear crawl for about 10 yards, bear crawl back to the cone. Sprint back to the starting point and do 20 pushups. Do 3 sets of that. Another thing we do is 100 steps with 50 pound dumbbells in each hand and then deadlift both of them. Exercises consisting of those things for around an hour. We do tons of other stuff too but I can't think of anymore right now.

Did a deadlift max check last thursday and got 300 lbs and stopped, but I knew i could go higher. Decided to try and up it, and got 345 lbs today. I feel like I might be able to slap a few more pounds on. I am pretty satisfied with it though.
Great job.
Am I the only one who doesn't believe Bale changed this much in 1 year without any steroids.
You joking? I did that in under 6 months without supplements.

That's a combination of muscle memory and re-feed response. He was like 190lbs before he starved down, the dude has always been jacked or at the very least in shape.
