That was fucking amazing. Who is this kid?
This inspired me to draw a comic in a notebook like I used to do. I thank whoever wrote this comic.
When this kid grows up, he definitely has a strong chance at drawing comics while he's on his lunch break at his janitorial job.
Honestly, I ain't digging the design. Ain't trippy and organic-looking enough. I figure that it'd look a bit like graffiti made of intestines, drawn by hand with as little digital fadoodling as possible.
That's quite all right, if I was to do it, it would be a good long time in the future. Too many things on my plate now; all of them paying actual money. By the time I get around to this, something else will probably have captured my attention.
There needs to be a website dedicated to stories/comics/novels written in notebooks.
The deus ex machina ending really ruined it for me.
His message is "Science and Religion should not be compared, as they are of the same purpose, to give a meaning with everything". Wich actually makes me feel like copy pasting my long explanation about how science does not contradict religion in anyway and that millitant atheists are fuckign idiots.
I hate the term "militant atheist", because it's used by "asshats" (such as yourself) to refer to people on the internet that aggressively attack religion verbally, unlike militant theists which is used to refer to people that kill abortion doctors, blow up buildings, oppress women/homosexuals/reason etc. Science and religion are two completely different non-compatible things. To quote Minchin: "Science adjusts it's beliefs based on what's observed. Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved."
The deus ex machina ending really ruined it for me.
Come on, this kid was 12 years old, what were you expecting? [editline]16th June 2011[/editline] I'm just amazed that he managed to grab my attention for so long.
My expectations were high because of the story up until that point.
Yeah, I guess. I thought the ending, despite the DEM, was pretty good.
Enjoyed reading it. Scientology can recruit this kid to write some more stuff.
That was great, nice moral at the end to.
Am I the only one who realized the true horror they unleashed?
That's brilliant.
It's on iMDB now: http://www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi2598608153/
Bahaha, that was cool. I love a nice fucked-up story. The kid's got raw talent. With some art classes he might become a decent illustrator. He already shows a rudimentary knowledge of perspective.
cliche
The ending sucked, Religion has no place in anything we do. It is obsolete. Otherwise the story was good, but I facepalmed when the Angel of Death came into play.
This is really dumb
I couldn't make it past the first dozen pages.
How 'bout we just shut the fuck up!? Seriously, nobody fucking cares about the religious aspect of the story. Besides, the point of the book IS TO JUST RESPECT EACH OTHER. I can say I take no sides on the debate. The way I see it, the longer we argue about shit like religion the less progress is made with our time on Earth. Science and Religion are both great things in my opinion because both give you a set of standard rules to follow about being a good human being. But when we argue like this, it gets us absolutely no where. Regardless of who is "right", arguing just waste time that could be spent moving forward and getting better shit done while we're alive. It's just like the U.S. government. They spend to much time arguing over the political parties to get together and work towards a common goal and accomplish good things. So I just say fuck it. Stop worrying about Religion and just be a decent person.
Didn't even know it was about religion.
Are you positive this was made by a 6th grader?
Did you get to the Butt of the world part
Did you get to the Butt of the world part
Ahem.
Did you get to the Butt of the world part
How do people manage to do this
Now I fucked up
This is actually fucking awesome, it reminds me of something i started in my childhood, and recently reworked on again in my older mindset, with certain styles. This kid must be a fan of lovecraft surely/
Reminds me a little of Blood Music by Greg Bear, a similarly themed story about a biological organism that overwhelms the entire planet. Except it's a little more harmonious and a little less horrific.
