Hey guys, I feel like posting some sickass breakdowns to help spread the love of awesome music instead of alot of bulshit ive been hearing on the radio lately... Post a youtube link of your favorites breakdowns and or great heavy songs. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj7NEG_NfHE (skip to 2:19) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DScZ42PPIyo (break down at 1:50 but this whole song is amazing) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0oyCXSd02U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nl_ttX031Y&ob=av2e http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRtB_...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-8zCY9f3OA&ob=av2n
When all played simultaneously it sounds like it'd make a good noise song. Independently, most of these songs are rather mediocre at best. Oh, and as for that bit about the radio...wake up and look around. There's a god damn million bands like these, and I recognize almost every single one of the bands in these videos simply from walking around my town. They're ALL OVER Hot Topic/Spencer's/etc... If that's not "popular" then I don't know what the fuck is. No seriously this is fucking hysterical thank you. You are a god damn hero.
NOW YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING, TO DIE FOR DUNNNA NA DUNNNA NA BRRR BRR BRRR
NOW YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING, TO DIE FOR DUNNNA NA DUNNNA NA BRRR BRR BRRR
Hah totally forgot about that one. I really like the effect they hold in Lamb of God songs, mostly because it's not in every five god damn seconds of the song. That, and most of their songs are about or involve something that you should really be pissed off about to begin with. At least if you live in America, anyway.
Only breakdown I got. One of the best breakdowns I've heard, too. 2:46
I am not a mechanism I am part of the resistance I am an organism An animal A creature I am a beast!
Shame this is their only album that's not shitty metalcore. What's odder is their first few albums were shitty metalcore, then they released this prog/melodic death album, then went back to shitty metalcore. They have all the lyrical tendencies of a 90s punk band, when you think about it. Case in point:

It's good. [editline]6th September 2011[/editline]
Only breakdown I got. One of the best breakdowns I've heard, too. Wrath is their tightest by far, but I really, REALLY liked Ashes of the Wake.
Wrath is the best in my opinion. None of the others come close.
Wrath is the best in my opinion. None of the others come close.
Musically, I have to agree. It's just the energy from Ashes of the Wake that really made me love it so much.
All their songs have energy. I really want to go to a LoG concert once in my life. I reckon it'd be great.
I'd go for the WALLL OF DEAAAATHHHH And to crush someone's skull during black label, preferably someone smaller and weaker than me so I don't get killed [editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
I liked it, but there were definitely filler tracks on it. If you want a wall of death go see Hatebreed, it happens pretty much every song.
Wrath is the best in my opinion. None of the others come close.
I completely agree. You could also try this, I suppose - it has a nice little vocal piece.

Instead, before they play Black Label, Randy says to the crowd, "Alright you know what to do, I want to see everybody in the pit split in half. When the music hits, go!"

since this thread has become the LoG thread, I have to add that i saw Chris Adler perform at a drumming festival last week. he played a little solo followed by Laid to Rest, Something to Die For, Requiem and In Your Words
I have no idea why, but the singer reminds me of Tyler, The Creator.
A white version! Genius!
Why does everyone like Black Label so much? Listening to it now, and ignoring the incomprehensible vocals (Randy had absolutely horrible vocals on New American Gospel... so glad he improved them), there's nothing really unique about the song. I like the sound of the kick, I will admit, but I can't really see this song forming a wall or anything. They have a handful songs far more groovier and worthy of a wall than this. Maybe it's just me though... Well, in regards to the vocals, I just read this on the Wikipedia. No idea how valid it is:
The song "Black Label" was not completed by the time the album was being recorded. The writing continued as Lamb of God was in the studio. Also, the original version on the song (as heard on the album) has no official lyrics. Randy is "scatting" in the song.
If this is true, it may explain the incomprehensibility of the "lyrics" on DarkLyrics. :v:
New American Gospel is only good for it's rawness and instrumental bits. Randy's vocals on that are so fucking shit they can still put me off of listening to it.
I dunno, his vocals sound pretty awesome on this imo

Awesome song and breakdown.
