Why is there a SIG p228 mag in the mix, and why is it $9,000?!
It must be made of solid platinum and painted with baby Jesus tears or some shit.
Apparently dirt is on a steady climb these days with that magazine price.
How quiet can a gunshot get?
I hear some pistols with integrated suppressors actually don't have a gas operated slide, but instead have to be manually cocked after each round.
Since the slide doesn't move on its own and the cartridge isn't ejected through an ejection port when the gun is fired, the cartridge's noise is suppressed.
I think Welrod was such a gun.
Most pistols aren't gas operated, they're recoil locked, blowback operated.
The pistols you're thinking of have slide stops to stop the slide from moving.

See the lever on the frame? It's designed to engage with the notch on the slide.

so did mgs3 just make the hushpuppy a cock after each round gun, or is it actually fired that way? or was the mk- w/e only in live ammunition not tranquilizer lol which would make more sense just for the game.

The m1895 nagant revolvers are almost completely silent if you put a 9mm suppressor on it since the cylinder seals against the breech and the 7.62x38 round is subsonic. IIRC the hammer falling is louder than the gunshot
I hope Jimmema has one because I made some more calls and still absolutely nothing.
My Mossberg 590A1, Arsenal SLR 107 FR, and my Glock 19 Gen 4 that I just picked up today.

Three new guns in one day? Such luxury!

I think he only meant the glock.
Gun show tomorrow. What should I get?

I think that wierd russian pistol with the piston rounds is even quieter

The PSS

In terms of practicality, the mp5sd is about as quiet as you will get while still having a functional weapon.
Things like the pss or a .22lr rifle loaded with subsonic rounds and a big can are generally going to beat it, but they aren't much of a weapon.
The mp5sd is also impressive because it loads standard supersonic 9x19. It won't even cycle with subsonic.

Well that's a vague question given how haphazard a gun show's selection can be. Reliable standbys are S&W and Colt revolvers. Really anything that catches your eye.
I do recommend you buy one of those Auto mags that's been floating around the shows in my area. It's always at the show and it hasn't sold in a decade. Guy is asking way too much for it, like $7000-$10,000.

I'd like to get a new handgun but I haven't gotten one since Maryland passed "gun control." So I have to get printed and pay extra money and wait weeks...so I'll get something else. Maybe ammo too. Idk. I just wanna blow money on gun shit haha
Buy me an svt-40 :v:

Doubt it's legal in Maryland.

I'm pretty certain the manual says it will with 147s.

Not standard bullet weights however.

Can't imagine why it would be illegal? The magazine doesn't hold more than 10 rounds and it doesn't have more than 2 traditional "assault style" features.

I don't know man, the Sig MCX with their SRD762 on the end was pretty damn quite. I was shooting a full auto one with sig last June, the bolt closing was louder than what was coming from the muzzle. Hell the bullets hitting the back stop were incredibly loud compared to what was from the muzzle. I think it was rated at around 118-120 dB, which is right in .22 territory.

Well...PPSH is illegal, and that fires the Tokarev round. All AK variants are illegal too (for new sale, after "gun control, lucky I bought mine 4 years ago). Liberal laws are retarded.

My Australian tears
On a brighter side though, I finally got my application sent off. Now, we wait. Hopefully it won't take long because my local clay target club decided to fuck me over for unlicensed visits despite me paying $250 for club and ACTA membership for the explicit purpose of doing unlicensed shooting.

It's not an AK variant, or a variant of any 'assault' weapon.

The PPSH is illegal because it fires from an open bolt. SVT-40s aren't illegal, they just haven't ever been imported in large quantities because there's no exemption to allow them to be imported from Russia. They have to come from another country and have resided there for 5 years - with paperwork to prove it.

Why does firing from an open bolt make it illegal?
Why does firing from an open bolt make it illegal?
The ATF considers any firearm that can "easily" be converted to full auto as a machine gun. With an open bolt it usually consists of removing just a single part to convert it to full auto from semi-auto.

That only applies to guns made after a certain date however. I don't recall the specific date, but you can still find open bolt semi-auto MAC-10's from time to time. There was a company, I think marlin or savage, that made a tube fed open bolt .22 that pop up every once in a while too.
They have to have been registered as MGs prior to 1986, whether it's automatic or not.
