That is incredibly nice looking. I would like a 308 or something with that aesthetic at some point. I've never particularly enjoyed shooting air rifles.
The 1807 is gorgeous, but .22 is so boring compared to the rifles that are a little more of a handful. I find myself just plinking mindlessly after a few shots when it comes to .22, it ends up feeling like a chore to slog through a box of the stuff.

I don't unless I'm teaching kids how to shoot e; that sounds kind of condescending toward people who do shoot .22, all I mean is I don't enjoy it and only personally deal with it when I'm introducing kids to the hobby, not that it's only for kids :v:
.22 and some low velocity tannerite is pretty fun though
.22 makes great small-game ammo and is pretty easy on the ears to shoot. I can throw a few boxes of .22 through my gun without a problem because it's just easy to shoot is one reason I personally enjoy it. Plus nostalgia, which Europeans will snicker and turn their nose up at us for.
Kid in my third grade class had a 2 week suspension because he made a copy of the magnum from Halo CE out of clay in class.
Friend of mine brought in a dud mortar round that his dad brought home, To tell you how different times are from back when I was in 4th grade(99-00), he was told to call his dad and keep it at his desk... Didn't even get in trouble.
21 tomorrow so I'll be getting a CHL whenever probably going to get a full size P99 for carry because I want to be unique until i get that i'll just carry my 1911 to make everyone in this thread fume
I'd carry a P99AS if I didn't hate the trigger (and obviously if it was legal here).
The safety on my RAMI only works when its cocked but I'd never carry cocked and locked.
I'd carry a P99AS if I didn't hate the trigger (and obviously if it was legal here).
I really want an SW99 in .45 but I've heard those had some QC issues.
I really want an SW99 in .45 but I've heard those had some QC issues.
You could always do a PPQ .45. Haven't shot one yet but they do feel nice.
PPQs look like expensive hi points but I've no idea about their handling. Really I've just always liked the black/silver two-tone P99s since seeing them for the first time in STALKER. I'm used to shooting .45 so I don't really want to bump down to 9 or .40.

How do I remove my A2 front sight on my AR and apparently I need a new gas block? Which gas block should I buy?
What do you want to do is the real question. Are you looking for a full length handguard or what?
I plan to get rid of my iron sights and put a red dot sight on it and I don't want to have both on the rifle. I mean, I can't anyway. It has a carry handle and of course the A2 front.

Takes up the whole pic. rail. But as for buying a new gas block, what should I get? I have a Ruger AR556
no but you can replace the carry handle with something like an lmt l8a
I got the gun bug again.... So I have a Mossberg 500 Persuader I believe, with the pistol grip and 7 round tube and heat shield. It's a badass gun but I need a stock, flashlight, and maybe sights for it. So all of that is probably going to run me about 150 total if I shop around right. But after that I want to fill out my arsenal, so I was thinking about getting a smaller handgun that still packs a decent wallop, and then an assault rifle of some sort. Guns are an expensive hobby, but fuck me if they aren't cool as fuck.
I can't cowitness with a carry handle sight. Takes up the whole pic. rail. But as for buying a new gas block, what should I get? I have a Ruger AR556
You're gonna have to either find something weird, or flip the barrel upside down. The pins holding the gas block run through the top of the barrel on the AR556, not the bottom. If you don't already have an armorer's wrench, an action block and all that other shit, I'd just take it to a professional armorer and have it done for you.
Ruger's bullshit proprietary everything is the reason I'll never buy a Ruger anything [editline]2nd June 2016[/editline]
I can't cowitness with a carry handle sight. not even a revolver?

Seems kinda interesting. Just don't touch it to your shoulder! That, or don't go shooting with any ATF guys.
I can't cowitness with a carry handle sight. Takes up the whole pic. rail. But as for buying a new gas block, what should I get? I have a Ruger AR556
You are going to have to use a set-screw/bolt-on gas block. Buy a Midwest Industries or a Troy gas block. If it's a bolt on one, no worries. If you have a set screw one, you must dimple the barrel to ensure that the block doesn't move after the set screws are tight. As with anything that has screws/bolts, use loctite on the fasteners to be sure they don't loosen up from firing. Outside of a popular pattern like a 1911 or such you're going to run into the same problems.
not even a revolver?
If Ruger could make a revolver that requires you to buy proprietary parts to make it function, then they absolutely would. Shot Show 2017: Now featuring the Ruger GP2017 chambered in .358 Ruger and only in .358 Ruger. $97 for a box of 20.
