Reminds me of my buddy's Deagle. 20rd box of ammo for Xmas was $50!
[QUOTE=ilikecorn;50446113]I actually have this troy block. Pretty good for the price, does exactly as advertised. Setscrews are a huge plus. Just make sure you use a little blue loctite on them so they don't back out (if yours doesn't have some on there anyway) [editline]2nd June 2016[/editline] Or laugh your ass off when they can't prove that you shouldered it, and do it anyway.[/QUOTE] I have a pretty good idea as to why they've never persecuted beyond just that. The whole sig brace thing has been and always will be opinions from ATF agents/the head of the ATF. There is no legal precedents, nor anything written in law in regards to them. Long story short you could have an ATF agent with a video camera in hand standing next to you and they still wouldn't prosecute because they don't want to set a legal precedent. They don't want to do that since there's a pretty good chance that they would loose, since they have already declared it an arm brace and not a stock and the law it self pertains to stocks only.
The problem still remains that the ATF can change their definitions on the fly. They moved to confiscate chalk rounds for grenade launchers earlier this year even though the only explosive involved was the propellant. Before this, chalk rounds were legal to have. The whole arm brace thing is people not wanting to test the ATF's decision so in an off chance a negative precedent is made.
I got tired of being jerked around for my armed guard class. I gotta get a hold of these people and get my money back, I may lose my deposit though. I signed up in April and they cancelled on me and have never rescheduled the class locally. Only the other site hours away that I'm not going to commute to for this. I already signed up and paid for a class this month with a different company. Lots of money tied up right now, this sucks. Than I just realized if I get my armed guard license I need to put together one of those duty-belt sort of things for my gun and junk. [editline]3rd June 2016[/editline] Anyone recommendations on a good retention holster? I usually use SERPA's which I like but if I am going to be working with the public I want something easier to retain from if for some reason someone went for it. 5.11 had an interesting design I was considering. SERPA have different levels as well but I haven't checked them out yet.

accidentally posted when I didn't mean to sorry guys

Generally the SERPA holsters are more than decent enough at preventing someone from grabbing it.

I turned 21 yesterday. My little brother's friend's mom who is a real sweet lady makes cookies. That's all she does as far as I know. She made me cookies for my birthday. [t]http://i.imgur.com/mHV3njy.jpg?1[/t] I guess my brother's friend reported back about my guns :v:
Hey guys. First time here, don't know a whole lot about guns. My grandmother died a few years ago and we found an old revolver while cleaning out her apartment. I've finally decided to do some research on it, but I haven't found a lot of solid info. The barrel rib is stamped "IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS FITCHBURG MASS. U. S. A." and the serial number is 42577. I did learn that the left side of the handle has the "full" serial number, but the number underneath the pearl is exactly the same. Here's some photos too. Anyone have more information? I'd like to clean it and try it out sometime. [t]http://i.imgur.com/iHMJEvq.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HoL3cEF.jpg[/t]
Was looking around for the cheapest EOTech 512 I could find. I found 3 sellers on Ebay selling them for $375. They seem sketchy to me. Think they're trust worthy? I don't want cheap chinese replicas of course. It seems like there were a few different models, and you could probably find out which one it is by digging a little and finding the serial number ranges of each variant.

I'm thinking about buying a Century C308, managed to hold one and liked the way it felt. Anyone here own one? I'm sorta on the fence due to it being Century and all.

Looks like a Model 3 topbreak, although I'm not sure whether it has a safety hammer or not. One side of the grip has a pearl finish while the main body has a very weathered nickel finish. Seven-shot, gonna guess it fits a .22 Short judging from how small the barrel is. Anyone wanna check my math, go ahead. The hammer pulls back and releases just fine when the top is broken open, but I can't cock it when closed unless I rotate the cylinder and and pull the hammer back at the same time. I don't think it's been cleaned in decades, so that might explain why the cylinder is so stubborn.

I need to see the latch system and cylinder. Get detailed pics ofr the latch system. Also, what are tha patent dates listed on the barrel?

PTR Rifles are higher quality, and theres only a $300 or so price difference. [editline]4th June 2016[/editline] [QUOTE=camaroni;50453789] If you insist on having a .308 semi automatic rifle, get an AR 10 platform.[/QUOTE] Don't actually do this. Overpriced beyond reason for a worse platform

I'm sorta on the fence due to it being Century and all.[/QUOTE] I wanted to get one a whike ago, pretty much the only reason i didnt is that its 5-6 moa on a good day, and the mag release blows horse dick. I wasnt worried at all about the reliability. From all my research, it looks like they solved the reliability issues with the c308, and the violent action is plenty to overcome some not quite perfect machining.
So, I messed with my Magpul QD3 sling mount again last night trying to get it to lock into my Keymod handguard and I still can't get the fucker to work anywhere. Any recommendations for decent forward sling mounts for 2-point AR slings? (I'm using a Troyindustries CQB for those curious with no rear sling mount) E: I'm a moron and never bought a swivel mount because.... who knows...

At least one of our regulars can attest to the rugged quality and unshakable reliability of the Kel-Tec KSG!
I have the KSG I literally tried to give it away. Its my only and biggest firearm regret that I've ever made.
You know those forward sling mounts the US government puts on their M16s/M4s? The ones that are held in place with roll pins? What are they, and how can I acquire one?
Think they're called quick-detach swivels but I've never looked into it myself, my AR's strap is held on with a carabiner through the forend :v:

Same ball detent charging handle and almost everything else compared to the DD5V1.
