Personally I'm not a huge fan of little pistols like that but if I didn't roll Nord at birth (I'm 6'2" and have big hands) I'd probably carry something small like this. It's small, cheap, and reliable and everyone I know who has it would carry it if they didn't already have something. I found it alright to shoot too. Fortunately some of that was surplus flight gear! I hope you're the same size as the Russian who wore this shit, we'll smuggle you in and parachute you over the jungle. Just be sure to tape yourself to the wing in such a way that you can easily rip it off at the right moment. Don't want you ending up in Brazil, now do we?

I'll bring the M10 in case we get into any trench action
anyone got any spare 8mm mauser? cuz this gon be nuts!!!
I can't recommend 9x18. It's not super common and that makes it hard to put hundreds of rounds down range to practice. I really enjoyed my makarov, but that thing was a pain in the dick to find food for. So I eventually sold it.
Fair enough assessment, but at that price I'd buy a fuckload of cheap Russian ammo and be done with it.
I had other links but then I looked at the price. Fuck reloading in this caliber. [editline]15th June 2016[/editline]
It's a steel core projectile. A lot of indoor ranges refuse to allow steel core.
A bit pricier: http://bulkammunition.net/sellier-amp-bellot-sb9mak-9mmx18mm-makarov-fmj-95-gr-1000-rounds.html Plus he's in Nevada. It's full of open desert.
Yeah but Nevada's heat is all dry. You'll be fine.
Hello, a lurker here. My family has recently moved to Nevada from New Jersey and I can't believe how relaxed the gun laws are here. Since I can now purchase a firearm after not even thinking about it for years, I was wondering what pistols (preferably 9mm) you guys would recommend? I going to get a gun case and all that jazz with it to be as safe as possible, maybe even take a class even though i've gone to the gun range a hand full of times. I don't need a $2,000 pistol or anything like that. Just something that is a good to start my addiction with as a beginner that's fun to shoot and isn't going to break after a few hundred rounds.
Avoid American made pistols. Glocks, SIGs, Taniks, and CZ's are the way to go.

It satisfies all my full size handgun cravings while only being a little under 400 bucks.
Just in case we need a paperweight, a tent stake or something to chock the airplane.
I find it works well as a shovel too. Also, god I love the makarov but I have to agree, finding ammo = lolnope.
How expensive would it really be to convert a mak to 9x19? It's like a 30 minute job at most, you'd just have to run a ream into the chamber and polish.

Shame too, that would make my little polish bang bang a very useful little polish bang bang. Edit: not sure about a mak, but this is the case with a P64 at least. [editline]16th June 2016[/editline]
Just in case we need a paperweight, a tent stake or something to chock the airplane.
With a little modification to the bayonette, it would make a pretty sturdy door ram. With the added bonus of putting neat little 30 caliber holes in brick or cinder block walls.
Is there a way to convert my Colt AR-15 to a larger caliber from .22?
you realize that most 9x17 and 9x18 handguns use only the slide's mass to delay the opening of the mechanism, whereas 99% of 9x19 handguns use a form of mechanical delay? browning toggle lock, gas expansion (hk p7, steyr gb) etc i assume you also don't know the 9x18 is thicker than the 9x19 (both case-wise and bullet wise) a regular .355 9mm bullet will just fall into a 9x18 case
i actually didn't, now i do :v:
Its good weve got an ammunition expert around

CZ's are a cheaper and superior alternative.
Honestly you'd be a fool to buy a newly made Hipower today, unless you already own a CZ-75. CZ's are a cheaper and superior alternative.
Well I mean yeah. If I had every CZ model ever produced I'd still have too few.

I bought an AR lower today. I'm going to build a NY Compliant AR-15 abiding by all State and Federal laws. And I won't bury it in the backyard.

It would be cheaper to just move states bud

Unless you're Albany or the city. Then you just get people who look at you with disgust because you have a child killing device.
I feel like a genuinely interesting compliant AR could be built by moving the trigger group but I'm glad manufacturers stuck with that to show how fucking retarded it looks when people who don't know anything about guns try to dictate how they should be made
hey i was right they must've read my mind
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fc7x9Wy.jpg[/t] This looks fucking cool. I want one. Then to tell people it's pretty much the same thing as an M16.
That looks fucking slick
