Nope. The barrel is pencil thin, you'll be all over the place half way through the mag. I like the idea though, maybe with a heavy barrel you'd be on to something.
I'm debating on whether I want to put in a bull barrel and cut it down to like 13 inches and tack on a SVD flash hider, or just have a 16 inch bull barrel.
I dream one day that Australia will get pump-actions legal, but when people are trying to get fucking lever action shotguns banned, I don't have high hope.

Why the hell would anyone try to do that? Like at what point is enough?

Because there was this huge media scare recently over the Adler "Eight-rounds-in-eight-seconds" A110
People kept saying lever action = rapid fire and rode on the back of Martin Place / Port Arthur to try and have it banned
Bolt action shotguns only from now on for you all.
Actually my grandpa's bolt action 20 is fantastic for picking off coyotes and the like. (Albeit a bit overkill)

Dont, theyll ban everything but break actions

You could probably have this guy on a break action and send it in after you send in the previous video.
You'll want some sort of muzzle device, the gun isn't super heavy and it's recoil can become unmanagable without one. I recommend going the 16 inch barrel and using some sort of compensator/brake. That is, if you're going for accurate. Keep in mind you'll still have to deal with receiver flex, because it's essentially a glorified RPK receiver.
I'm not overly concerned with accuracy. As long as I can get holes on paper at 250yds then I'll be happy.

christ, we'll have to go back to matchlocks and flint knives
wasn't there a doctor's petition in the UK a few years ago to ban long, sharp kitchen knives from being imported or sold in the country?
i legitimately wonder how many chav gangs are going to be killing each other with slings thirty years from now

Forget slings, they'll be using cinder blocks and chunks of asphalt. Ban all construction.
If there is a total and effective ban and confiscation of firearms in the US and I don't die in that process of enacting it than I'll probably buy a big ass dagger for EDC and keep a spear in the house incase someone tries to break in.
We have a right to bear long-arms such as spears and halberds. It's written in Ye Olde Parcment of Righteous Causes.
Just don't let the constabulary catch you with a sword of less than 16" or you'll have to pay a tax to His Majesty the President and serve time in the gallows.
Hmmmmmmmm, i do still have the giant mild steel halberd i made a few years ago. Well, the head at least.
I still have a repro union cavalry sword I bought when I was drunk. That shit was $140.
[editline]28th June 2016[/editline]
Probably still holds the title for my worst drunk buy, and that's saying something. Once bought a $60 book from barnes and noble on the roman empire. Was actually a pretty interesting read.
Indian made? I have the Confederate equivalent, but I only paid $20 for it. :v:

Yeah windlass :v:
Its actually properly made and everything, its a pretty nice sword, which would be cool and everything if I needed a sword.
Mine's a wristbreaker. I have handled an original but I don't recall its balance point since I wasn't really allowed to (or tempted to to) swing it around of course, so I can't say how close it is to the real deal. However, it does seem to have a full tang, at least.

Yeah mine's fully peened. Balance point is a little bit north of base but it's a cavalry saber so it's kinda meant to be like that.
Do old Belgian guns have some kind of reputation for being shit or something? Ian made it sound that way in his video about the Dutch police revolver. I have a Belgian-made shotgun imported through Sears ca. 1906 that is absolutely fantastically well put together.
I'm about to bring up some CA panic in this thread so strap in. Up until today I was under the impression that: Lower receiver + bullet button = CA legal AR
Now it sounds like the rifle has to be complete, but I'm still not really clear on exactly how complete it has to be. I wasn't planning to go further than assembling a lower for now, so I really haven't researched uppers at all. Hell, I don't even know if I want .223 or 5.56, or if there's even a reason to get one over the other. I just wanted to build the barest minimum thing possible, but with quality parts that I won't regret buying later on. I just want a "ticket" to building an AR later on when they're banned and I have more money/time.
To be clear, I already have the LPK and lower. Should I just wait and see if Brown actually signs the BB ban into law before I make a move on an upper? I should still have one chosen and ready to buy so that I can beat the rush, right? What would you guys recommend for a barreled upper?
Anyone know where I can order an A1 Upper that isn't super expensive? Like below $200. I'd prefer new production but I'll take whatever, but I want it to not be completely beat to shit either.

I would never do this. Naturally. But you could just build your AR however you want and just not get caught.

I got an Aeroprecision upper. I'd check their site out, they have a lot of nice stuff. The upper I got is really nice as far as uppers go, although a bit more on the expensive side.
[editline]30th June 2016[/editline]
Shit you can even get you an ATF special if you've got a quiet place to shoot

Out of Stock
if you are building an AR then ALWAYS get a wylde spec chamber
worst of both worlds. pick .223 or 5.56 and only buy one of the two

I have a 5.56 AR and shoot both through it depending on availability with no problems
So I got to borrow a .338 Lapua for tomorrow. Shame the range is only 100m.

You will never be able to get the true accuracy of a 338 Lapua rifle at a measly 100m. you need 500m minimum.
