When you get into "long range" cartridges like the 300 win mag, 338 Lapua, and the 50 cal, anything below 500m is a waste as far as target shooing goe. These cartridges were designed to deliver a hunk of lead at ranges that a standard 308 would have difficulty with. Whether its target shooting or hunting.
I think the 50 cal has travel a minimum distance for most shooting ranges that allow it.

Nope. There's an indoor 25m range that rents a .50 just so people can say "I shot a .50!" They have some shitty red-dot reflex sight on it.
The longest range at the range I'm going to is 200m and they rent a .50 too.

No, these bills are definitely going to stop all gun-related crime in California.
Shot the .338 at 200m. It shot high, which is not surprising. It was fun, but after 2 rounds I was like "Alright, let's shoot my new levergat."
Managed to get 9+1 in the thing for the 2&5/8" slugs I bought. Damn it was fun. Didn't get time to shoot trap though, they closed it down at 4. The part of my AR carry-handle sight that has the actual sight in it is loose and so my AR can't hit shit. My .380 is still fucked. I also got given 48 rounds of .38S&W because Crazy Boris saw they were labelled as ".380 Revolver MK IIZ Dec 1943" and gave them to me for my .380, which of course they won't work in. So now I gotta find a Webley or Enfield revolver to shoot it out of. Also, I was shooting dead-accurate with my Tokarev and Czech surplus ammo today. Like, all rounds were pretty much centre of the target. I was astounded.
Overall it was a mixed day at the range.

You can get a Colt Police Positive to shoot that 38 S&W instead of a Webley, easier to find and more than likely cheaper.

As a New Yorker not from the city I've always wanted this. Everyone wants this. Make them a special district like D.C. is where they can pass their own laws, get their own votes and have their own separate everything.
We're all tired of this disproportionate amount of city folk passing laws for the entire state that we don't want and voting in State and Federal elections for people the entirety of Upstate doesn't want.

At the flea market today a guy had an H&R .38 for $50 in decent (shootable) condition. When I asked to see it, his buddy behind the table snatched it away and gave him a 50 dollar bill, like he'd only just noticed it. I think that's the first time I've called someone a cunt to their face.
