The only problem is it's an hour and a half away in Peterborough and I don't want to head out there just to look.
Normally I'd say don't touch a Taurus with a 10ft pole, but if it's just for putsing around then it's not that big of a deal. When you buy one it's really luck of the draw, with some being utter shit new in the box and others where if you were blindfolded you couldn't tell the difference between it and a smith. I've literally sent back dozens of Taurus's new in box because of stupid shit like reversed cylinder releases, completely fucked timing, free spinning cylinders, non-functioning extractors, etc. Granted I send those back before they even get a chance to be sold so the customer doesn't have to deal with it. With that being said, even though I get my pick of the lot shit still ends up happening. I've got a 2" Tracker .44 mag that I hand picked out of a lot of 15. Triggers smooth as glass, lock up crazy tight, etc. But when I shoot full .44 mag out of it the cases love to stick. Of course this was an easy fix but damn, that shouldn't be happening out of the box. Long story short if you intend on carrying it go out and shoot it before putting it on your hip, and send it in if it's fucked. And of course check everything you can think of before even thinking about filling out any paperwork.
I mean if you're going to buy a Taurus for putsing you might as well go full cheap and get a Rossi :v:
I mean if you're going to buy a Taurus for putsing you might as well go full cheap and get a Rossi :v:
I found a Rossi new in box for $500. I still wouldn't.
Now all I need is an MP7 :))
Dont you tease me, I'm dying for an MP7.
MP7s feel like toys, I don't like them Or at least the one I fondled at the gun show did
They actually have semi-auto MP7s?
I think it was a class 3 dealer showing off. He had an MG-42 and some other machine guns.
They actually have semi-auto MP7s?
No, HK hates money so they won't make a semi-auto MP7 or anything else cool. Even though it's a special snowflake gun with no practical uses. I mean honestly, a MP7 would be the perfect monopoly gun. HK is the only people who make it, HK is the only people who make the parts and accessories for it, HK is the only people who make the magazines for it, and HK could be the only people who produce civvie rounds that are legal for import. Theres millions in potential there but they won't do it.
They wouldn't sell because even if HK did produce them they'd cost $2500 a piece for some reason, which would cause HK to go "oh obviously nobody likes our product" and stop selling everything else again.

HK's biggest issue is German export laws for guns and the fact they don't trust shoddy American manufacturing to assemble the guns in the US. Thats why we get gimped shit like the SL-8
I think the SL-8 looks fucking sweet, but I'd also like to have a proper G36. I just won't pay HK prices. They are after too large a profit margin.
Pics of the barrel so we can see all the slag in it, rendering it inoperable. [editline]5th July 2016[/editline] Last time I talked to him he called me a nigger and said he was going to the Crimea to fight with the Russians.
I fucking swear, I've seen this exact post before. Damn deja vu. [editline]6th July 2016[/editline]
Pictures?
You should know better than asking for pictures of a slag free Estonian gun by now.
They actually have semi-auto MP7s?
H&K makes them. The UK police for example uses them. I suspect however they're not full-auto conversion resistant and thus would be machine guns in many places. Of course, as said, H&K won't sell them.

What are the differences between civilian, police and military grade weapons? Licensing? swefag asking
What are the differences between civilian, police and military grade weapons? Licensing? swefag asking
Let's get this straight now, "Military Grade/Spec" is built by the lowest bidder and passes some industry standard and some arbitrary military testing. It doesn't mean they are the best available, just that it meets certain standards; the civilian market has produced better quality firearms and continue to drive military firearms improvement. It drives me batty hearing the media say "military grade" this and that, heck, they even advertise a "military grade aluminum alloy chassis" on a Chevy Silverado commercial! There are certain firearms that companies won't sell to the general populous and only sell to Police or Military, i.e. the HK MP7, Benelli M1014, etc.
You do know the Benelli M1014 is the same gun as the Benelli M4 Super 90, right? Which is sold to civilians for like $2500.
You do know the Benelli M1014 is the same gun as the Benelli M4 Super 90, right? Which is sold to civilians for like $2500.
Yes, however, it's the configuration they won't sell for stupid reasons: Benelli Tactical and Beretta LE have maintained the belief that the collapsible buttstock, while no longer illegal in the United States, is still only to be made available to law enforcement and government agencies. Benelli Tactical/Beretta LE will not sell these stocks to private individuals. Benelli Tactical does sell the stock piece for retrofitting the pistol grip stock for $150. The stock must be direct-shipped from Italy, however it and other aftermarket stocks are commercially available and not restricted by the United States. Suggested retail price of the civilian version is around $1,899.[2][4] An NFA stamp is required to purchase or own the 14.5" barreled model only since this model is considered to be a Short Barreled Shotgun or SBS. Standard magazine capacity of the civilian version is 5+1, although it is possible to fit 6+1 and two shot extension tubes are sold by Benelli as well as some other companies. Some LE models have become available to private individuals on the secondary market.
What are the differences between civilian, police and military grade weapons? Licensing? swefag asking
Nothing really, it's just an incorrect legal classification. So like the M4 carbine the military uses has a 14.5 inch barrel, and if a civilian were to own one it would be a NFA item because it has a barrel shorter than 16 inches. A lot of people would call that "military grade" despite that not really being the case, it just means that you need to get a tax stamp to own one. Law Enforcement Only (LEO) guns are basically the same that Civvies can (with licensing) own but companies like HK will only sell certain guns to LEO because of NFA laws and stuff. Basically theres no real difference and it's just the media talking out of their ass trying to scare people.

Basically, go to Full30.com and browse around. [editline]6th July 2016[/editline] American Gunsmithing Institute has some of their awesome videos on YouTube. Like this one on the Ruger LCP.
