God, had an absolute shocker at clay shooting today. Couldn't hit shit, co-ordination was terrible, but then again I was using the shitty club gun which is really not fit for me.
Importing surplus 5.45 was banned 2 years (?) ago I think on account of some super obscure 5.45 AK pistol that they made almost none of and they may not have even made it into the US.
I've since been told that but it's not the main point of my post anyway so I didn't bother to change it
A Desert Eagle. They're compact, right?
Why not an Obrez
I could actually fit an obrez in my center console.
Got a M9A1 compact beretta with rail as an early birthday gift from my Father. Love it. :dogcited:
So apparently the EU has just voted to ban any and all semi-autos in civilian possession. Not only the law is incredibly vague, I can't find a single thing about it besides a Twitter hashtag, no law enforcement agency has released anything about it yet, and no firearm-related websites seem to be talking about it. Does anyone have any idea about what the fuck is going on?
final decisions will be taken november 22nd. what they're doing now is some vague bullshit voting about their opinions and what they want to do further down the road. i for one have stocked up on "high cap" magazines a long time ago and will bury them in a pelicase if the laws affect mags in any way
Here in the USA we just lose everything in a boating accident...
The other day me and 3 other friends took a canoe 5 miles down the river with a bunch of bb guns, so actually a boating accident is a real plausible thing.
Holy shit... a 40mm M203-GL makes the rifle feel twice as heavy. It's barrel mounted so I guess the barrel has increased wobbling now. Atleast it's badass.
Anyone have any advice for a fellow member of the U.S about traveling on an airline with a firearm? I know the weight limits and regulations, but I'm sure there's a few things that help.
sweden uses m203s on AK5s? wut norway used hk79s on the ag3 and now we use m320s on hk416n
Not in the military; just driving 20 clicks into the woods and fireing on targets without disturbing people that might call somebody-bluish. Tried to join the swedish GMU (bootcamp sort of) but did not get approved due to my diagnoses. Shame I don't have the right to serve my nation, but I understand the logic because I could be a disadvantage to the people around me. I don't even have any grenades. Refilling ammunition is extremely expensive when it's illegal, just had to attach it :v:
I know a finnish guy that has two RPG-7v2:s but nothing to shoot with
Luger is a required must for all gun lovers. But can't get it here.
I got to shoot a whole shitload of Remington guns today. Only got a chance to shoot 2 shotguns, the Versamax (it really does cycle everything) and the 1100 trap, but I got to shoot a bunch of rifles. I started with a Marlin big-loop stainless .45-70, then got to shoto a 700 Sendero in .300 Win Mag, a 700 AAC-SD with muzzle break in .308, a 700 XCRII in .30-06 with the trigger on the heaviest setting it can be on (it's shit on this setting), a 700XCRII in .223 with an absolutely beautiful Swarovski scope on it, a stock .308 783, and a 700 Muzzleloader with the full 200gr powder charge. All the guns shot right, the only one I was allowed to mess with was the 783, which I corrected. All the ammo was paid for by the company I work for. We collectively shot a good 200 rounds of just .45-70. The whole day was fantastic. They even raffled off a gun, a 783 in .30-06. Another thing I was surprised about is the guy from the importer running the shoot addressed all the bad points head on. 870s rusting? Yeah that finish tends to do that, keep it oiled. 700 recall? Yeah there was a problem it's fixed now. Marlin lever guns are a pile of shit? Yeah, old Marlins had hand-fitted parts and they fucked up when they bought the company, they fixed it now. He addressed every issue head-on instead of glossing over them or trying to ignore them and hope nobody brought them up. I was really surprised at that and I have to give the importer a lot of respect for doing that.
Y'know Pruss, I don't think your ass is where you're meant to store the barrel of your Tikka. Perhaps you should remove it before posting.
Never change Pruss. :v:

Notify the check in agent and they'll have TSA go to a room with you where they'll inspect to make sure everything is kosher (no ammo in the gun, must be in a sealed box) and will provide you with an inspection slip. Make sure it goes inside the locked gun case, not outside the case or outside the luggage. Make sure you'll be legal at your destination, too. [editline]13th July 2016[/editline] There's a guy selling an A1 AR-15 build on Armslist that I'd really like. Naturally, it's overpriced ($900 with one or two 20rd mags and bayonet). If I can talk him down to $750 or $800, I want to try to buy it at the end of the month.

If you dont use a TSA approved lock then they may cut it off your case and it will go through a few airports unlocked, or get kicked back. Most airlines have a limit on how many firearms you can travel with but most agents dont know the limit and dont check the cases. When you check in, tell them youre traveling with a firearm, and theyll give you some paperwork to fill out and put in the case. The case wont come out on the normal luggage belt, it will have to be picked up at a special baggage area, differs from airport to airport. For example, the Bismarck ND airport just shits them out on a seperate belt and they dont verify who picks them up or make sure they go to the proper owner, so be careful with that. Ammo is ok to travel with, just make sure you read up on the airlines rules. I use a plastic ammo can I can lock and put in my normal luggage as thats pretty universal across all airlines. I actually requested that I follow the guns back to the TSA check and watched them check them; some places will let you, some wont. It's their ass if they lose them. You can only travel with a maximum 50rds of ammo in a box, not loose.
must be in a sealed box.

You can only travel with a maximum 50rds of ammo in a box, not loose.
Depends on the airline. With the one I'm flying (Alaska Airlines) I can carry 50 lbs of ammo, and said ammo just has to be in a "safe" container (not paper, something rigid that will not allow the ammo to easily move around or have the primers impacted by anything)
I actually requested that I follow the guns back to the TSA check and watched them check them; some places will let you, some wont. They (Alaska airlines) offers $1000 insurance if you pay $10 which I definitely will.
Figured I'd share my setup. This is what I have on my bed frame. It's a loft so my desk is under my mattress. The holster rotates so I can unholster my handgun from sitting at the desk or laying in bed. I have the ammunition carriers and flashlight holder now so I can also get at those if I am at my chair or sleeping. Before I had two sets of flashlights and magazines, one low and one high depending on where I was. I also keep my Glock 26 under my desk on a magnet. Would I be a sperg to get a custom slide cover plate of the Facepunch logo for a glock?
Would I be a sperg to get a custom slide cover plate of the Facepunch logo for a glock?
I thought about it. I really did and all my guns have FP branding on them. But I use my Glock 19 for work and Glock 23 for everyday carry and I'm worried that if I have to shoot someone that some shit head lawyer somewhere will take a picture of the logo, blow it up onto a 5x5 poster board and present it as evidence that I'm a cold blooded killer because I have a "dead smiley face" on my baby killer or some garbage like that. I keep all my carry pieces clean for that reason. Range toys are okay though. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/b59e0fe2c25b1cae2f1bbbb6bc3f3203.png[/t] [editline]14th July 2016[/editline] I think I want a Chippa Rhino again. I have really, really bad luck with brand new firearms but I want a wheel gun and no others really appeal to me. Being broke sucks.
Just ordered a bunch of pmags. This way, I'm covered in case there's a national high-cap ban and my gi mags start breaking down. Gonna have to find space for 'em though, apparently the lockbox is full.
i'm certainly not because it has to be the most boring shooting form i can imagine. doesn't help that the shotgun range here is so full of 60+ years old assholes that hate anything that's not a $4000 beretta or browning. show up with a pump or semi (that's not a beretta semi) and everyone's gonna be giving you the stink eye until you leave. wait 1 hour to shoot one round then go because there's 50 other old sods waiting to shoot.. yeah, no. rifle and handgun shooting is much more fun.
Late I know, but what kind of shotgun sports are you doing? Ive always found sporting clays with some friends to be far more entertaining than just poking holes in paper. Trap and Skeet with fudds is pretty terrible, I agree, but if you have a squad of people you know, or manage to find a club that isnt full of crotchety old people its pretty cool. Is sporting clays a US thing? I cant imagine running through a sporting clays course and thinking it was more boring than shooting static targets on a rifle range. Do I buy a wheelgat or a .40 cal conversion kit for my Sig?
