Make sure that you use a lot of wood and then you can hide your long guns in plain sight.

Nyet. In the basement living room, I'll just take a really big masonry bit and run a super long hole through the foundation. Over it I'll put a bored out Chevy Big Block block without the heads and cover it with a piece of glass. Inside the piston chamber will be an 870 tucked away under a piece of paper to protect the glass from the aluminum. :v:
No, the case will come out on the regular belt, although when I've traveled, I put my long gun cases in a large golf bag and no one knows aside from the people checking them.
I actually requested that I follow the guns back to the TSA check and watched them check them; some places will let you, some wont. It's their ass if they lose them.
You can only travel with a maximum 50rds of ammo in a box, not loose.
Never had a rifle case come out on a regular belt. I have no doubt that the TSA checks the firearms once they've been checked in but I've never had to be there with the TSA to have them checked.
TSA approved is every bit as good as unlocked.
Better than having the lock cut by TSA then not replaced, and it goes through at least 2 airports unlocked, or get sent back for you to pick up when you return home.

I think I want a Chippa Rhino again. I have really, really bad luck with brand new firearms but I want a wheel gun and no others really appeal to me.
Being broke sucks.
Don't buy a Rhino new or used, unless you don't ever intend to shoot it. It's a great shooting gun but it's so fragile that it's own recoil will break it.
So I have a quandary...im moving to Minnesota to work for my uncle and I'll be living with him for a while. He doesn't want guns in the house , because his kids are wild. Would it be wrong for me to bring a gun or guns and just leave them in my car to "circumvent" his wishes, or should I just retrieve the guns from my parents house when I get my own place.
I mentioned such...no dice

If you're old enough to carry, then I'd just bring your carry pistol and leave the rest at home unless you want to rent a storage unit somewhere locally and put a small safe in there.
In light of recent events in French I've decided to sell my truck before they pass the Assault Vehicle Ban.
It should be grandfathered in but I don't want to register it so my loss is your gain.
It has a high-capacity gas tank pinned and welded so be aware of this when purchasing. Will only meet at an auto show face to face or transfer out of state to a dealership. Must conduct background check at point of sale.

You see this is why I only drive a subcompact sedan, only if I need to drive.
You people and your assault trucks disgust me. You don't need all that vehicle, all that gas.
Why can't you people just give up on old ideology, or at the very least get a bike. You can't kill people with a bike.
Really thinking about picking up a Beretta Px4 Storm. I've heard decent things about it, but ultimately my decision will be decided by a range test.
A friend of mine finally decided to get a cc, because we started playing pokemon downtown in the middle of the night. He doesnt really like handguns, and he said he might just carry a 22. I got him away from that idea really quick and told him not to go smaller than .380. Whats a really cheap easily concealable gun with decent stopping power? Doesnt have to have any features or a fancy name, just have a safety and go boom when its sposed to.

Btw Cyke im still carrying my P-64 so dont bother.

Having owned one in 9mm, I can tell you that they shoot nicely, and you can convert them to decocker only, but the plastic frame and trigger feel cheap as hell. I didn't like the mag release at all either, too small and stiff.

Stopping power in a small package is a trade off sort of thing. It's either big and has the power of small and does not.
Personally for your friend a .380 sub compact sounds fine for him. LCP9, Bodyguard, Kahr or Glock 42 will all fit the bill for very small handguns. If he can go bigger like Glock 26/27 size he has better options for 9mm/40S&W but I have a hard time buying into the stopping power debate. I think the best gun to buy is the one you are comfortable carrying everyday.
Of the ones I named the bodyguard is what I own and unless the Kahrs have a safety than I think it's the only in my list that does. I use it too. When I unholster it for the day I pop on the safety instead of ejecting the round every time. Less wear in my carry ammo that way and sometimes if I carry in unorthodox ways I'll put the safety on for my own peace of mind if it's in a cargo pocket for example. The long double action trigger is another great safety feature and gives you the ability to hammer a bad primer until it fires in an emergency.
Aside the Glock they should be sub $300-$400 and you may find them cheaper where you live.

If he wants to be a fool tell him to buy a P-64 and CC that. If he wants to be really smart, tell him to buy 2 of them and duct tape them together. That way he can get some decent stopping power.
Picked up a Bersa Thunder 40 Pro, shot it and a few others at the range and decided I really like it. My sights need just a hair of adjusting, but I shot a much tighter group than I ever did with my CPX-2.
Think today's events will have any effect on the Turkish firearms industry?
Think today's events will have any effect on the Turkish firearms industry?
Not unless Turkey goes into civil war. I'd imagine a Military Dictatorship is only going to pump out more weapons, but who knows if they'll continue exports. I know ZQI guns and ammo are made in a military factory, so who knows if we'll continue to get those exports.

I can't believe in the year 2 0 1 6 we still have high capacity convertibles going around.
How can the children be safe when there are all these ne'er-do-wells rolling around with their roof things that go up?
Took my .45 hiking today, turns out the 1960s vintage military holster w/ no leg strap isn't really ideal for climbing up and down rockslides and shit.
Plan to be a new owner in the next few weeks. Got my concealed carry license couple months ago but with all the shit going on, I figured it's time I start carrying. Leaning towards a Glock 23 or S&W Shield. Let me know what you guys think I should get.

There is little reason to get a 40cal Glock over a 9mm Glock unless you like paying more for ammo. The lethality between them is marginal at best.
Oops I meant a glock 42 or 43.
Late I know, but what kind of shotgun sports are you doing?
Ive always found sporting clays with some friends to be far more entertaining than just poking holes in paper. Trap and Skeet with fudds is pretty terrible, I agree, but if you have a squad of people you know, or manage to find a club that isnt full of crotchety old people its pretty cool.
Is sporting clays a US thing? I cant imagine running through a sporting clays course and thinking it was more boring than shooting static targets on a rifle range.

We have sporting clays in Aus too, but the double barrel shotgun limit limits us to only things such as 5-Stand.

Get the glock.
So seeing as I'm newly single and don't need to set aside a significant chunk of money anymore, I think I'm gonna get a M1A soon. Wanted the damn thing for years now, and it sounds like the perfect thing to cheer me up.
What's a good price for one nowadays? It's literally gonna be a range toy, I don't need gnat's ass accuracy so I don't need a fancy one. Just wood furniture full length is what I'd like
[editline]16th July 2016[/editline]
Oh, and I could order from the BX with no tax so that's an option
I held an FN M249 today (the semi auto version for sale). They said I could hold it, but not to deploy the bipod, flip the safety, open the feed tray, etc etc. Basically, don't operate it. Was pretty cool, pretty heavy. And it peed on me (left a light oil stain on my shirt).
Then I held a CZ Scorpion carbine. My god, the stock ergos are amazing. I really need to SBR my pistol...
That's because all of those can create a failure condition for the M249
That's because all of those can create a failure condition for the M249
Fuck the M249. Just carry extra magazines.
Accuracy over volume any day.
Fuck the M249. Just carry extra magazines.

Pfft. Accuracy via volume. Best of both worlds.
Finding a new way to carry is kind of satisfying. I just started running so I go out in like shorts and all that. I bought a belly band and it works really good but I had to mess with it. The snap closure for the gun retention loop thing had a lot of extra material on it so you ended up manipulating the wrong things trying to draw it so I had to staple everything flush. Than I had to add more velcro because I'm skinnier than the band default velcro so that meant more stables as well.
It must be nice to be too skinny for your damn holsters.... :saddowns:
Oops I meant a glock 42 or 43.
Go with the Glock 43, 9mm is cheaper and has better options for defensive loads than .380.
