Jews make good guns. Thats how the stopped the Nazis

First frame damage I noticed - some nicks from me trying to remove the wedge in desperation. The frame is warped at the rear. I didn't notice in real life but on the image you can also see where they marked it to cut... and how badly they missed.

The screw at the base of the grip. This motherfucker is so tight I cannot remove it with any force that I'm able to leverage. I am not a weak guy. Notice the screw head has given way before turning. Also notice the depression in the grip frame due to how tight the screw is - and what looks like a pair of stress cracks there, into which bluing solution settled.

Video of the problem which started it all - no lockup at full cock. There should be three clicks while drawing the hammer back, and there are only two. Something has broken inside the gun, I'm guessing the mainspring from what little I know about single action revolvers, and the bolt is not being operated.

The cylinder engraving is also both off-center and incomplete, which really shows the level of care and attention that went into this gun.
I was aware going in that Pietta revolvers were hit and miss quality wise but this is really something else. I didn't expect a shoddy, unsafe gun out of the box - I expected something I could tune up with care and treasure for a long time to come. Instead I got - junk at best, a pipe bomb at worst. I'm actually really glad in retrospect that the spring broke before I shot it, because it might have saved my hand.
Birdman, please check yours thoroughly for damage like this before shooting it again.
I will say that Cabela's is handling this well. They told me if Pietta doesn't reply soon, to go ahead and send it back and they'll refund it, even though their policy is not to accept returns on firearms.

IWI Tavor. Probably one of the most interesting rifles I've ever shot. Israel makes some neat guns :v:
I shot one once, it farted on me. Some of the gases came back through the hole on the left side of the ejection port that's there since the gun can be converted for lefties, and that gas went right up my nose.
I am not paying $3000 for a gun that farts on me.
I was personally not very impressed with the Tavor I handled. They look cool but I couldn't get used to using the sights without a traditional stock. Guess it takes practice but I'm not taken enough with the rifle to practice. :v:

The tavor is garbage and the most famous "indigenous" israeli designs are flat out stolen from other weapons.

pffffffffffffft.
The CZ-75 isn't exactly a from-scratch design brosky but that doesn't make it garbage or mean the Czechs make bad guns. Get off your AR high horse.
[editline]15th December 2015[/editline]
only thing I've found wrong with the Tavor is the shcekel mag release is oddly placed, but it's par for the course for bullpups.
[editline]15th December 2015[/editline]
that, and you have to put 5 sheckles into the gun just to release the magazine, I thought that was a bit of an odd design choice.
I kind of regret not buying a DP-12 over a KSG.
The DP-12 is wider and heavier than I like, but it's a million times better made and has even better quality control.
I'm still struggling to make my KSG work right. I'm waiting for new magazine springs because my stock ones brand new were two different length. I mean for fucks sake Kel-Tec.

The CZ-75 is nothing compared to the proud and strong original israeli design, the jericho 451.

Yea you're still not disproving me.
Finally got my upgraded sights on my Carbine!

I have the Magpul MBUS Pro steel sights on it with the LongShot custom Picatinny rail. It looks like an entirely different gun now.
Put a box through a rental M&P Shield .40 at the range today. Fun little gun and definitely seems up my alley for a concealed carry

I took a close look, and it would seem I won the pietta qc lottery. Screws were easy to take out, maybe even a little too easy, everything was stamped in the right place, spring is solid, tolerances are good, cylinder is nice and tight when locked. The only thing I dont like is that bastardy little spring on the wedge being a pain in my crotch to drive out.

Cabellas is pretty cool with stuff like that. When I got my Mosin, my dad got one too. When I got gome, I stripped them to clean out the cosmoline, and there was a giant rust pit on the bottom of the barrel, and rust spots inside that I didnt notice looking through the barrel at the store. They accepted it for an exchange without question.
Well congratufriggenlations you LUCKY DUCK. Have fun with it. I'm probably going to take my refund money to a local gun store and give them some business - they've been good to me. Dunno what I'm gonna pick up yet.
Alrighty Gatpunch, just to let you know my grandfather was found unresponsive at work today. I know I haven't been real active lately, but I definitely most likely won't be on for a week or so if things get worse, which things aren't looking good at the moment. If you guys need me for anything - which I doubt - just shoot me a pm.
I hate how suppressors are viewed as something only police/military should have, and how it's been made almost so.
I want one because I don't wanna piss off people when I'm the only one who wants to shoot, and everybody else just wants to do their own thing. (Large enough property to shoot, but small enough so that everyone around will hear pew pew)
Plus I don't wanna wear earpro while shooting

Also subsonic 5.56 is hard as fuck to find, but I did find some.
just found this nice photo of my collection

I thought I was out of the .308 game, and then I see a guy selling an Aussie L1A1 on a Facebook group. Messaged him and asked if he was interested in my AK as a trade.

Oh me oh my, how I would love some of that pie.
How does an Aussie SLR end up in the states?
Alessandro Pietta replied to my email and asked to see the pictures, so I sent them to him and he said he doesn't see anything wrong except the grip frame (which is the least worrying part) and the broken spring.

Am I imagining things or was this wedge slot cut wrong, period? And then had the wedge forced into it anyway, causing the rear of the slot to bow out? Because I don't think I'm imagining things. You can even see where they marked the frame for the slot, and how far off it is.
It is official, I passed my chauffeurs license test, and I start training for Brinks on the 4th of next year.
My new years resolution is to get a job at brinks.
I think that might be my first new years resolution that I followed through with :v

I heard that those armored car guys don't actually have ammo in their weapons. At least Dunbar. Not sure about Brinks and others.

I know for a fact that Garda and G4S do up here, pretty sure Brinks does too. It would be kinda stupid for them to get a work carry license from the CFO and not carry loaded.

???
Why the hell would they have a gun with no ammo?

Dumbass local restrictions, bosses paranoid about liability, etc.

Insurance probably says they can't. Either that or company policies.
Why even carry a gun then?
Why even carry a gun then?
Deterrent I guess.
I watched some videos on the century arms c308 and now my dick went and got hard.
