Uh no pogs are chefs and truck drivers and mechanics and etc. Being a private doesn't make you a pog at all, sitting in the base doing non-soldier things makes you a pog.

lmfao calm down pog. Unless your MOS starts with 03 you're a pog.
Let me ask you something. Do any of the above listed activities sound like something a non-03 would do?
I didn't think so.
So, to keep this thread on track; For those of you with AKs, Manticore Arms is having a 50% off sale on their ARC LOK ALFA RAIL handguards. That's probably the best railed handguard out there for an AK for $60.
THE MA-11280 ALFA HANDGUARD WILL ONLY FIT STANDARD STAMPED 'EURO' AND 'CHINESE' AK'S. THIS MODEL WILL NOT FIT YUGO M-70/N-PAP/O-PAP, KRINKOVS, M92'S, UNCONVENRTED VEPR'S OR UNCONVERTED SAIGAS.
ARC LOK slots will accept Magpul M LOK accessories as well.

In the US, we got M1's in 9mm, 22lr and good ol 30 carbine.
I'd actually buy one of the ones in 9mm if they didn't take fucking baretta m92 mags. like seriously what kind of fuck tarded decision is that?

Unfortunately the 9mm one looks like crap and is unreliable. The reason as to why I never seen one in a shop and no one really talks about 'em that it had poor QC and a crappy design.

Isn't there an AK platform that had adjustable auto and burst mode where the burst mode had a different cyclical rate than the auto mode?
Yeah, that was the rifle I was thinking of. I'm not super knowledgeable on Russian firearms, generally. Just knew the Burst and the auto cyclical rates were different considerably.
for the longest time, i was unaware that .38 special could be fired out of a .357 magnum revolver
im not a revolver/handgun guy, but now im looking for a solid .357 magnum with a compact or snubnose barrel
my search for the manurhin mr73 continues
M1 Carbine... .22LR?
I'll clarify because it does sound that way. I think you can find carbines in 9mm and 22lr but they're unreliable garbage.
I bought some .22 because no one locally sells the stuff anymore. It's always out of stock.
I'm excited though because I can't find carbine ammunition locally but now I can order it again. But I panic stocked enough of it last time I went to PA that I don't need to order more.. Yet. I was too afraid to shoot through my reserves until now.

I saw plenty of .22 M1s in New Zealand for $500 (NZD). Also saw a lot a lot of SKS', some bundled with a suppressor for $600 (NZD).

For $450, would this be a good deal? The shooting interest has shifted from hunting to clay target (family disputes) and I'm wondering if this would be a good shotgun to get, entry-level.

Yeah I kind of have my heart set on this after reading a bit more on it.
From what I can make of, the Baikal IZH-54 is a really good shotgun. I contacted the seller of the shotgun to find out what model it is.

if you want to shoot clay, having a OU is better than a SxS. Not to say that SxS's are a bad or useless for clays, but it makes more sense to have an OU. Baikal's aren't bad either.

Yeah I understand and see the logic in it, but I can't find any good O/Us that are reasonably priced.
I'll keep looking around for a bit more, though I might have to give my uncle cash to buy the Baikal so he can keep it until I get the firearms license.

I'd say buy one in a pawnshop but I honestly don't know how firearms ownership and how buying and selling works in your neck of the woods.
I'd say buy one in a pawnshop but I honestly don't know how firearms ownership and how buying and selling works in your neck of the woods.
Once upon a time pawnshops sold guns. I don't think they're allowed to now after the 1996 shooting.
[editline]20th December 2015[/editline]
Someone in Aus with better knowledge of gun laws like download might be able to tell you about that. Maybe it's a licensing thing or whatever that most shops don't bother with.
I think I want a S&W Model 327
I wanted a Chippa Rhino but that seems like as dumb a choice as buying a KSG and I can't afford two $1000 mistakes.
But holy shit an 8-round snub-nose revolver. I think I can trust S&W not to make a shitty gun and I'm reluctant to buy another semi-auto after all the issues I've had with my last two. I just want a gun that works brand new and I need to add a wheel-gun to my collection.

What semiautos did you buy that are giving you issues?

You're more likely to get an unreliable revolver than an unreliable semi-auto with today's designs and manufacturing. I'd trust S&W to make a decent revolver but I'd also trust most of the big names to make a decent semi-auto too. I know you have a Glock, what's the other pistol that's giving you trouble?
Next possible pistol purchase:

Should be a decent choice. If I remember correct, S&W's big specialty has always been revolvers.

why not buy the SP01 with a steel frame?
So open carry is happening in Texas next year.. I'm not all to pleased. I'm glad oeole have the option for when they need it. But stores are already starting to place signs prohibiting any type of carry in their stores
why not buy the SP01 with a steel frame?
Because that would be heavier, and I'm looking to carry this, I already CC a G21.
OC is kinda stupid. CC I can get behind (Go Estonia), but OC seems pretty pointless.
I think pro-OC laws are important because of the precedent they set for firearms freedom. I generally wouldn't recommend open carrying in an urban area and I think most people think the same way. OC laws also protect hikers, hunters, and other people carrying in the wilderness where it makes more practical sense, although most states treat these areas differently regardless.
Because that would be heavier, and I'm looking to carry this, I already CC a G21.
Fair enough, but me personally would still use the SP01. I'm not big on polymer frames.

Anyone who says OC over CC is either an idiot or just wants to broadcast that they're armed to make themselves feel powerful or some BS like that.
Practicality wise, OC is stupid. Yea some clothes make CC'ing harder but when you OC all you're doing is letting people know that you're a target, or scaring soccer moms and causing unnecessary drama. If it's tough to CC in hot weather, then lose some weight. Whether you like it or not, not everyone is comfortable around firearms or seeing firearms, and some dipshit with a 1911 on his hip isn't going to change that. All it's going to do is inflame peoples irrational fears.
The only OC laws out there should be ones to protect hunters, hikers, and the like. Not dipshits who just want to OC into a shopping mall.

Yea the thing is is that a lot of gun owners aren't as sensible as you or I. There are fucking ass holes that open carry AR-15 with Beta mags in airports with the singular purpose of scaring people or freaking people out. OC should protect people who want to hike or hunt, not assholes who want to feel badass wearing a plate carrier in a shopping mall.
