And hitting the forward assist still doesn't put it in battery. Hence why I'm confused by the ftf issue on it.
Yea, that is odd...
Edit:
I tried to induce the same thing in my M4gery by loading a 30rd to 31, but I couldn't even seat the mag on a closed bolt.
Have you taken the mag apart to see if there is an internal issue with the spring?
It very well could be the feed lip geometry, have you compared it to another PMag? Also, is it a straight 20rd PMag or one of the newer, slightly curved ones?
It's a Gen M3 PMag 20. I haven't broken it down yet. Planning on doing it with my AR today when I clean them.
Also, obligatory pictures of my current setup with the three magpul mags.

And a couple range pictures just having fun.

What the heck is that behind the vortex strikfire? It has a vortex logo on it, but it also appears to have a battery compartment, so not a magnifier?

It's a magnifier. What looks like a battery compartment is a flip to side hinge.
Nice gun, stoner!
What Ridge said. I'm actually considering taking it off, honestly. I will still keep it, but I never use it. I only really flip it up when I'm storing the gun in the case. It's flipped over a good 90% of the time when I shoot since I don't shoot more than 100 yards with the gun.
Also, ignore the second rail cover not on the gun. I keep it in the case so I don't lose it... Haha.

Did you try hitting the forward assist more than once? It takes 2-3 taps to work iirc.
I doubt anyone here remembers it but I figured out why my zombie Enfield won't chamber a round. There's something sticking out of the top and side of the chamber - probably part of the wasp nest that was founded inside it - but it's in the worst possible position and I can't get in with a screwdriver to scrape it out and none of my bore brushes are getting the job done either. I got a bore light for Christmas that let me see the obstruction, and also inspect the rifling better. If I can get this gun to chamber a round it'll shoot really swell, the rifling is very sharp.

you had entirely the wrong idea of whats happening until that last line

Might have to put one of those chamber brushes in a drill and get reaming, either that or get a bottle of spray cleaner and spray/soak it out.

not unless the gun is gummed to all fuck
Saw this on my local gun flea market page. Some dumb Shit is trying to buy a .22lr bolt action rifle to hunt deer.

Providin for ma famly bro
Update. I cleaned my BCG, pin (obviously), and all the other small parts of my rifle. A little buildup, but nothing extreme. No signs of issues on the feed ramp, no spots or blockages in the chamber, and the extractor is perfectly fine. I had fun getting the retainer pin in because it would not stay shut long enough to snap into place, but everything seemed fine with the rifle. Broke down my Pmag and nothing seems broken, the spring seems to have just fine tension, and there's no signs of damage or misallignment of the follower or baseplate.
I legitimately have no clue what's going on besides calling it just a fluke with this particular magazine, since it's the only one that would do it, and it did it to me three times yesterday.

While he's technically right it's not something you do unless it's the most dire of situations.
Finally got her back from the shop and completed. Taking her out tomorrow.

Ooh. She Purdy. 20" barrel?

Life or death maybe. Like if you were stranded in the wilderness and starving. And even than you better be lucky to take a good sized deer down with a .22 either through shot placement or by emptying a magazine into one. More than likely you'd just injury it and it'd run off which is kinda cruel to let it suffer like that.
But I doubt he's buying guns on Facebook if he's that desperate and its illegal to hunt large game with rim fire.
16.5" actually. The 15" rail makes her look a lot longer than she actually is.

Poachers have been using .22s to kill deer for a century.

Yeah I'm about to bust out the steel brush and get on it. Found out my power drill is totally dead so I need to find another one in the garage before I can get anywhere with this thing.
Poachers have been using .22s to kill deer for a century.
Why would they use a .22 if its incredibly unlikely to kill it in 1 or even multiple shots?
Why would they use a .22 if its incredibly unlikely to kill it in 1 or even multiple shots?
quiet, small, and a headshot with it will kill the deer if you can actually manage to hit the brain
I got my Wolff springs for my M1 Carbine. I have a feeling this will fix it. I had issues with feeding, misfires from light primer strikes and things like that. I think maybe failure to eject? I don't remember anymore.
I replaced all my magazine springs which were original USGI (I saved all the parts naturally) and replaced the recoil and hammer spring. That hammer spring holy shit is powerful. I just hope everything works properly.
Can't wait to go shooting. Also it looks like I'm getting a Glock 26 Gen 3 for my birthday gift this month. That should be cash I just hope I don't experience more horrendous malfunctions with this one.
So my brother broke one of the bands off my Springfield musket while cleaning it so tomorrow I get to call a gunsmith to see if he can get the piece of metal out and, if not, price a brand new butt stock.
Yaaaaaaay.
Sup bitches, I'm back.

Got my PA 2.5x optic today. The reticle is microscopic.
It's not bad though, haven't fire tested it yet.

I think part of that is because of the range delineations and using them at range. Hopefully it's more helpful than a hindrance; if you don't like it, just send it to me :V
Could someone please explain like I'm five on how vertical foregrips are supposedly bad for shooting?
Could someone please explain like I'm five on how vertical foregrips are supposedly bad for shooting?
I dunno, I've heard that too. In truth the only reason I have one is that my rails are really sharp and the foregrip was cheaper than a complete set of rail covers.
