The XD series is bashed alot by people with gorilla hands or people who don't like non-USA/Germanic origin pistols. Really, it's one of the best out of the box pistols with great trigger pull weights and a grip a normal person can use.
I have large hands and I like Czech guns and I think a Grand Power K100 would be pretty awesome, and I would even enjoy a Lionheart LH9 (basically a Korean S&W clone). Realistically though, aren't most modern handguns of USA origin due to the fact that they copy the operation of the 1911 or Browning Hi Power?
My dad wants to buy guns before "Obama takes them away." He only wants to stock one caliber of ammunition, and my mom isn't strong enough to fire anything magnum, so probably 9mm. A Springfield XDM (Probably 4.5") would be the pistol, but I don't know much about rifles. Can anyone recommend a good 9mm rifle?
Scorpion EVO with Sig brace. :pudge:
You know I completely forgot about the Bullpup conversions for Mossberg 500's At the time I was looking at them I figured "Oh, at this point I should just get a KSG" and I did. But now I think they're pretty cool. I might pick one up.\ That's another gun to add to my list. I say "Gun" because they cost about as much as one. I can convert my M500 or maybe I could even buy another one. I dunno. Still kind of want a 930/SA-20.

HB has been out of stock on the CZ safety delete forever, I managed to find the OE one hidden away on the CZ webstore and bought that instead.
The executive order, if enforced, the gun shops will make a killing in transfer fees. Hell, they can now charge well over $100 for transfers if this is enforced.

In which case, I have an FFL and will ship guns to my door. They have to define what constitutes a transfer as well; does renting a firearm constitute a transfer, since I pay money to take possession of it for a specified period of time? Oh wait, we FFLs now "There is no specific threshold number of firearms purchased or sold that triggers the licensure requirement. But it is important to note that even a few transactions, when combined with other evidence, can be sufficient to establish that a person is “engaged in the business.” For example, courts have upheld convictions for dealing without a license when as few as two firearms were sold or when only one or two transactions took place, when other factors also were present."
That's the thing. What are the definitive set of rules now? This is gonna take a while for the lawyers to wring out what's definitely ok and what's not.

The BATFE (And really big fires) makes the rules and will enforce them whenever they feel like for whatever reason, it's been like this for a while. A shoestring is a machinegun, and shouldering something "manufactures" another something, remember? All part of "resonable restrictions" on 2A, the courts will say.

I was thinking maybe for the next firearms thread, we should become Firearms & Militaria/Firearms & Gear
The Facepunch Arsenal Or we get really cringey, the Facepunch Militia Compound Arsenal
The Facepunch Arsenal Or we get really cringey, the Facepunch Militia Compound Arsenal
I mean, I can see the fear of this becoming the /k/ of Facepunch, but really, the two subjects are quite related.
Finally fixed my mags! Some inconsiderate soul put rivets in them half way down!
I think she's finally all done. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/yJZEEzv.jpg[/img_thumb]
Is an AR-15 ever truly done?
please keep militia shit out of this thread so we don't get on more watchlists? [editline]5th January 2016[/editline] pretty sure gaz doesn't want GD to be a recruitment booth for 17 year olds running around in the woods with an SKS threatening the POTUS or something
plus it might bring in the airsoft crowd and thats not what this thread needs.
Hey uh, aren't you a Colorado citizen? Isn't that a felony or did they repeal the new laws? [editline]5th January 2016[/editline] We'll name the new thread "Facepunch Patriots" and we'll go annex Wyoming
Gross, nobody wants Wyoming, I'd like to think we had some standards here.
I think she's finally all done. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/yJZEEzv.jpg[/img_thumb]
From this angle, I'd almost be afraid to use that vert grip, looks like it's barely attached to anything, like it'd snap off. Also, what lower is that? The weird built in ambi bolt/mag release is kinda funky looking.
We called him the custodian of all living things. If an ant had crawled its way into our kitchen, he'd gently pick it up and carry it out outside to rejoin its family. If he saw a classmate sitting alone, he'd be the first to provide company and comfort. At 7 years old, he cared, he listened, and he loved more deeply than many adults I know. On December 14, 2012, he was killed by a man with a gun. My son Daniel was one of the 26 lives taken from us at the hands of a mass shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Since that day, President Obama promised us that he would use every tool available to him to spare another family the overwhelming pain of losing a child in such a horrific way. Today, he is taking additional steps to reduce gun violence. Watch his announcement at 11:40 a.m. ET to learn more about the executive action he's taking today. Watch Live No words can fully convey the overwhelming loss we feel each day. No amount of sympathy will bring our sweet, little Daniel back. And no one action can fully prevent the kind of tragedies that happened in Newtown, in Aurora, in Tucson, in Charleston, in Oak Creek, in San Bernardino, and in too many other communities across the country. But we can do more than we've done since that day in Newtown. Today, the President is doing what is in his power to reduce the unspeakable violence that stole our son from us. So, please, watch what the President has to say today. Daniel was a protector of living things. If we can take just one action that will prevent another child from dying the way he did, then we will do honor to the way he lived his life. Thank you. Mark Mark Barden Newtown, CT
Whitehouse email I got today. They're pushin the "SAVE THE CHIDLINGS" thing pretty hard these days. I remember when Obama passed the EO just after newtown concerning expanded background checks....
probably just a keymod rail piece?
It is, I'm kidding, just looks thin from the side.
Hey uh, aren't you a Colorado citizen? Isn't that a felony or did they repeal the new laws?
Possession isn't illegal, just importing.
I want a century arms c308
No, you want a PTR91 with the new paddle mag release. [editline]6th January 2016[/editline]
Possession isn't illegal, just importing.
but modification isn't illegal :v:?
but modification isn't illegal :v:?
Like most gun control laws, they're poorly written. None of the sheriffs outside of Denver or Boulder even uphold that law.
From this angle, I'd almost be afraid to use that vert grip, looks like it's barely attached to anything, like it'd snap off. Also, what lower is that? I guess worst case scenario if it comes off, you're just back to square one with just a rifle rail lol its a SIG SAUER M400E pre built.
No, you want a PTR91 with the new paddle mag release. [editline]6th January 2016[/editline] but modification isn't illegal :v:?
Aside from being $250 more, whats the difference?
Aside from being $250 more, whats the difference?
It's not made by century arms, it's a seriously good rifle, and it has the paddle mag release which is better than the push button on the G3 style rifles.
Aside from being $250 more, whats the difference?
I own a C308 Sporter and I ended up getting the paddle release added on by a gunsmith. It's definitely a worthwhile feature to have since I shoot left handed. I can't say much for the QC for PTR. But let's just say my experience with CA has been OK so far.
