The worst part is that Norway is not even a part of the EU - a majority vote said no TWO TIMES - 1972 and 1994.
We're still a part of the EEA and we do literally fucking everything the EU directly or indirectly tells us to do.
I'm sick of this.
It's awesome that Norway is able to remain completely independent but it seriously sucks when they have to put up with bullshit from the EU.
Nice to know that non-Europeans using smuggled guns from north africa can affect the gun ownership of actual Europeans with legally held firearms.
So what are your anti-ISIS guns, guys?
Anti-vehicle, anti-personnel
I love how every time after a tragedy, someone makes a reactionary law that wouldn't have done jack shit to stop the tragedy... The one difference is, a lot more of those seem to get passed in Europe then here in the States. Sucks, wish you guys living in European countries had more people to stand up for your gun rights.
Agreed, but you're making the assumption that Europe has gun rights to begin with.

It's also heavy as fuck. Damn thing weighs 30+ pounds.
I'll take mobility over firepower any day.
Any ideas for which optic I should put on my XT-22M?
Any ideas for which optic I should put on my XT-22M?
You don't need anything special, just go with a low end $200-$300 scope.
I'm asking for models, I've never bought a magnified optic.
Chiappa rhino. Scope Or No Scope?

Every rhino barrel length above the 50ds looks like garbage. The rails should not be present on that firearm in general.
I wish the mateba 2006m was imported to the US commercially, I would much rather have one of those.

50d look undersized maybe its just aesthetics.

Most double action revolvers have a preferable barrel length of four or five inches.
My dad's got an S&W Model 27. Blued, rubber grip, 6-inch barrel.
It's a straight shooter. Kicks like a mule too when you're putting .357 through it instead of .38 Special.

Vortex Crossfire is an amazing scope for the dough. I had one, $200 4-16x magnification scope.

...It's a six pound rimfire.
Put 2 mags through a suppressed grease gun at a local range today. Thing was surprisingly stable
I am just gonna leave this petition here:

I'd sign if I were European. Shit like this is exactly why the pro-gun side of the debate in the US sometimes acts so hostile.

No Rhino at all. Seriously, they're not good guns for what you pay. If they were $400 cheaper, you could justify the fragility and insane complexity of them. But at $7-900 (depending on used or retail new), they are just far too expensive for what they are.
I never mounted a scope on mine (50DS) but I kinda wish I had before I got rid of it.
Got my stock adapter today in the mail.

Its magazine outside of the grip, detachable stock and adjustable sights make it one of the deadliest guns on the market. ISIS doesn't stand a chance. Come at me, Jihadi John.

Didn't Churchill carry one of those things during the Boer War?
Yeah - they're exceptionally good guns. They were very popular with British officers from the first time they were available through WW2. Mine is a WW1 bringback. The markings are unusual for a C96 but it bears naval acceptance stamps. The collector I asked about it thinks it's a trials gun from Mauser trying to get the military to buy them, because the sn# is very low for its type and it has military stamps which it ordinarily wouldn't, even if used by an officer - that was then issued in an emergency.

Almost no legal weapons are used in crimes, here in Sweden at least. How many terrorists use a legally owned 5 round semi-automatic hunting rifle?
What do you guys use for lube in your firearms?
I'm partial to this: http://www.amazon.com/Mobil-Mobilgrease-Aviation-Grease-MIL-PRF-81322/dp/B00G3BTV5A where grease is applicable, I also use Hoppes (several different varieties) for different stuff like cleaning or for when the tolerances are too loose for greasing.
[editline]20th November 2015[/editline]
My bolt-action rifles all run Mobil 28, I love it.
just whatever lithium grease I can find if grease is appropriate, if it needs lighter lube then I usually use clp
garbage grade motor oil works fine. Honestly, as long as its some sort of petroleum based lube, synthetic or otherwise, it will work just fine. Most commercial gun lubes are just leaned motor oil put into an aerosol anyways.
the only reasons I use clp over motor oil is because it's in a spray can and it foams up. I've used a lot of lubricants and none of them had any appreciable effect on reliability or wear.

I've read this and it seems like pretty good advice.
