I got my 1851 back. They tuned it up after replacing the bolt spring and cleaned up the scratches I put on it trying to get it apart. I'm happy!

I just need to find somewhere to buy powder and shit. No place in town for it.
US Made SIG P210s Let's hope they aren't shite... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/01/foghorn/sig-sauer-starts-producing-p210-in-america/ "The P210 will be offered in two varieties to start out: a target version for about $1,350 and a standard version for around $1,200. The main difference: the target version will have some nicer grips and a longer barrel."
That is incredibly pretty.
Soo I just "smacked the big drum" as we say here in Norway.. on its way to me; A-Tec CMM-4 Rimfire (for spare parts/adding more modules to the one I have already) 2300 CCI Standard 100 CCI Quiet 100 CCI Subsonic HP 100 CCI CB Long 500 Eley Subsonic HP 300 SK Standard Plus 200 Eley Tracer 100 CCI or something gone through a hollowpoint maker die Gotta make space for this..
Holy shit. That's a fuckton of ammo.
not really at last count I had roughly 30,000 rounds of .22lr [editline]20th January 2016[/editline] I've made centerfire orders bigger than that
at last count I had roughly 30,000 rounds of .22lr
So it's you
And to think, due to people who camp outside the ammo stores, I'm now down to 400 rounds of 22lr... I mean I can find it, but I refuse to pay 80 bucks for 550 rounds...
So it's you
nah, I just buy a bulk pack every two weeks or so, and buy faster than I shoot. it's taken about 6 years to collect that much [editline]20th January 2016[/editline]
And to think, due to people who camp outside the ammo stores, I'm now down to 400 rounds of 22lr... I've given up on 22lr. Now that I can reload, it is much more appealing than scrounging around for 22s. Particularly when I can make 44 magnums for 1/5 of the price of boxed ammo.
I need to get into reloading more than just shotshells. 12 gauge is stupid easy to reload with no tools other than a dowel and a powder measure
I need to get into reloading more than just shotshells. 12 gauge is stupid easy to reload with no tools other than a dowel and a powder measure
Start with 38's. Everyone races to get rid of 38 special shells and it takes a little less powder to make over other calibers. Plus with the revolver, no need to chase brass.
I've already got an old pre-1919 S&W M&P that can't handle modern +P so that might be a good idea
I can't hand them my money fast enough...

Sigs really upped their game with the legion series as well as their new optics and accessories. They've thrown away the abortion that was sigtac and for the most part let the P250 to rest. I still want to get an authentic swiss one, but this will have to do for my budget.

I'd rather have Sig USA bring back the 550 line. That's something I'd throw money at.
Speaking of SHOT, the Hickok45 clan are giants: [thumb]https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xta1/v/t1.0-9/12510295_970870302962727_8808714946857739345_n.jpg?oh=a84cacb1efba3ec5d47ea5210340ceb1&oe=57064EB0[/thumb]

I looked at a P226 at a gun shop the other day, and there is a noticeable difference in the feel and finish of a US-made one versus my all-German-made one.

The US guns will always be inferior to the originals because the guns would be too costly if it were to match the Euro standards. Even the US Sig 551a1 Classic was a rattly AK compared to the import Sig551. Unfortunately, cost is what prevents S&W and Colt from reclaiming their old glory days of the wheel guns with recessed cylindars and pinned barrels.
They're both about 6'8-6'9 I believe. Massive individuals
I can't hand them my money fast enough...
Aww man I want it so badly.
Read a post on sigforum from a guy who shot both of the new US P210s and he says they're every bit as good as the German ones. I'm just hoping that holds true over the whole production run.

All these new guns at SHOT make me kind of sad that I probably won't be buying anything anytime soon.
All these new guns at SHOT make me kind of sad that I probably won't be buying anything anytime soon.
Just gives them time to work out the kinks and get the first generation through production before you buy.
Just gives them time to work out the kinks and get the first generation through production before you buy.
Well it's not just being an early adopter that I'm worried about. Being deployed puts a damper on my ability to enjoy my purchases. Also my wife is starting to curb my spending habits now that we're trying to start a family.
All these new guns at SHOT make me kind of sad that I probably won't be buying anything anytime soon.
Look on the bright side, least you'll have all that sweet deployment money to burn on firearms when you get back
