All are .22lr Marlin 60s; that represents 6 years of work:

This SVD build cost $280 including the rifle:

How did you do the MG-34? I'd love to dress mine up like that.

Also he did all that for his 5 year old son.
You fucking lucky americans, every time I enter this thread because I love guns I get jealous and daydream about living in rural arizona while I conceal carry a P90.
Oh, geez. I wouldn't want to use an actual parts kit for that sort of thing. That'd be better off going toward a "real" build.
Look on the bright side, least you'll have all that sweet deployment money to burn on firearms when you get back
Plus I'm getting my bonus next month. Loadsamoney
What do you guys think about Holosights on Revolvers?
[T]http://i.imgur.com/T4LKbcB.jpg[/T]
Gah, the Arsenal Strike One Speed got sold out from where I was planning on purchasing it. Shortly afterwards, the shop increased the the price by 500DKK (roughly 80 USD), so now I'm reconsidering my choice. I really want a pistol with adjustable front and rear sights.
I was notified about a Grand Power K100 Target (Mk.6?) for sale, used, from a private seller. It has adjustable fiber optic sights and includes four magazines. The price it half of what the Strike One Speed would cost me from new, so I'm seriously considering it, as I have heard good things about the Grand Powers.

Any opinions?
I have to admit, I really like DA/SA pistols, and I have heard mixed things about the trigger of the Strike One. I have yet to fire a striker fired pistol, where the trigger felt really crisp.
you've looked at http://huntershouse.dk i presume?
Yes I have. Hunters House still have the Strike One Speed at the reduced price, but they are far away (Zealand) from where I live, and they have expensive shipping costs exactly matching the price difference, as when ordering from zeromike.dk.
I figured that I might as well purchase something less expensive than a brand new, ultra-modern 9mm competition pistol, as this is my first private firearm after all, and I haven't tried IPSC yet.
My ambi safety delete showed up last night, installed it this morning. Definitely a recommended improvement!

Is there a way to strip the finish from my 1851 Navy without losing the engraving? I'm not a fan of the mirror black finish (which is already getting scratched to shit just by the nylon holster it sits in) and would like to have it properly rust browned so it looks more, uh, 1851ish.

Try naval jelly. That stuff strips rust like no other. Just be sure to clean it really good after the strip.
Pretty pissed about the 5.45 ban. I really wanted to buy a AK74 but now I must look elsewhere. Don't want an AR as my first rifle, are there any 5.56 AK's for under 400?

I am not sure if this will fit your fancy but there is supposed to be this thing called an ARAK.

Closest thing is if you get lucky and find a .223 Saiga for $500. Other wise, $400 5.56 Ak doesn't exist anymore as far I can tell.
Shit, I swear I found some a few months back. Hopefully I get lucky in the next month or so before I get my license and find a come up
Besides that, there are loads of AK pattern rifles chambered in 5.56
I am mostly a couch gun enthusiast though, so I can give no real advice, sadly. Gonna aim for a hunting license + rifle license for a nugget as soon as I live in a place where a gun safe is allowed, though.
I'd love an AK pattern anything really. I'll make the caliber work but a good solid and reliable semi-auto in a rifle caliber will make me happy.
AK-74s were definitely nice. Softer recoiling than an AR-15. Shame that ammo is harder and more expensive to find now.
why a mosin?
7,62x54r is hard to find in scandinavia.. especially denmark and norway
at most you will find expensive barnaul
buy a danish or norwegian krag instead if you want something old
[editline]21st January 2016[/editline]
btw:
cci cb longs are insanely quiet. i thought regular .22 shorts were quiet, but these make no sound. no sound at all. i just hear the click of the firing pin hitting the rim.
They seem pretty cheap and we all know what a skilled marksman can accomplish with the rifle, but I guess they aren't that cost effective then.
5.45 is still pretty cheap

I actually outshot my friend at 300 yards with my Saiga AK convert in x39 than my friend could with his Mosin in pretty good condition. Neither of us consider ourselves experts. Honestly I think you could do better with a relavitely cheap modern gun if you want to get something that is very accurate, but ymmv.

Don't let the fear mongering bullshit get to you. 5.45 is still plentiful and still cheap.
Know how much 7n6 was before the ban? $160-200. Know how much it is after the ban? $180-220. Holy shit what a difference. Buy an AK74.
Don't buy a 5.56 AK. Waste of time and money.
5.45 is still pretty cheap
Last I saw was $260/can, which is about 25 cents a round, which is about twice what I was paying when I had my '74 two and a half years ago.

if you google "7n6 for sale", like the 5th website has it for $180 a can. Don't buy ammo in bulk in store.
So, where's the best place for 5.56 online in bulk?
So where are you guys finding AKanythings for so cheap?
Yeah I've never seen an AK platform rifle around here for less than $550 and usually guns run pretty cheap in my area.
There was a really cool underfolder for $600 I almost bought though.
"Cheap" AKs no longer exist. You have at least throw down $550 if you are lucky. Most of the time it's gonna be $600-$900 depending on brand, demand, and quality. Your entry level AK is going to be around $600 now. Mid tier is $700-$800, and the premium stuff is $900+.
And for the love of god, do not entertain the idea of buying an I.O. Ak. Those are absolute garbage. Even the Aks built by Century have more quality than them.
You can pick up a barreled receiver for like $200 and pick up a parts kit, that's what my buddy's doing.
I found this sweet polish underfolder for like $300
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/909439/military-surplus-ak-47-polish-under-folding-stock-parts-kit-762x39mm
You'll still be in budget at that range. PSA had a barreled receiver kit for sale not too long ago, but they took them down for QC issues.
http://palmettostatearmory.com/psak47-ak-barreled-receiver-7-62x39-w-side-rail.html
I also found these on midway

I want the 20 rounders so fucking bad but NJ sucks and they wont ship them to me :C
and they're out of stock on the 15 rounders, which I'm almost certain are pinned 20 rounders.
