If anyone needs ammo cans, IMA has postwar MG42/M53 cans for $25, which is less than similar sized US cans are running for right now. http://www.ima-usa.com/original-german-mg-34-42-ammunition-can-in-postwar-green-unmarked.html
"Cheap" AKs no longer exist. You have at least throw down $550 if you are lucky. Most of the time it's gonna be $600-$900 depending on brand, demand, and quality. Your entry level AK is going to be around $600 now. Mid tier is $700-$800, and the premium stuff is $900+. And for the love of god, do not entertain the idea of buying an I.O. Ak. Those are absolute garbage. Even the Aks built by Century have more quality than them.
"premium" AK's are a joke. Theres no real reason to spend more than $500-700 for an AKM.
"premium" AK's are a joke. Some people just have more money than sense and don't give a shit if it's $1000+ because "quality" is in the price.
Pretty pissed about the 5.45 ban. I really wanted to buy a AK74 but now I must look elsewhere. Don't want an AR as my first rifle, are there any 5.56 AK's for under 400?
5.45 is still available and cheaper than 5.56 This is your best bet for a 5.56 rifle so you don't have to hunt for super expensive 5.56 AK mags http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/zastava-pap-m90np-5-56x45mm-rifle-with-ar15-magazine-adapter-detail.html?Itemid=0 [editline]22nd January 2016[/editline]
I am not sure if this will fit your fancy but there is supposed to be this thing called an ARAK. On cheap us made AKs, by Rob Ski from AK Operators Union: Ak Operators Union, Local 47-74 January 6 at 8:05am · Nyet, Rifle isn't fine... Guys, I, Dima G. and Dima Y, we have been around AKs for decades, yet, some of the most spectacular AK fails we see, are always coming out from US made AKs...I don't want to kick dead horse here, i'm just sad. How many times we have to post pictures like this? It really breaks my heart when i see shit like this. Many people fall for that trap of "cheap AK"...Guys, there is no magic here. If you are buying brand new, US made rifle for less than $600 (or around that price mark), then it is impossible to get good quality firearm. Something must give...either components are subpar quality or assembly quality is going to suck. I'm not going to drop any names here, those guilty of destroying Kalashnikov name, those people, they know who they are and what they do...I'm asking you today, please stop, think what you doing, change your business model, evolve and start making better product...you know what must be done, this isn't your first time "rodeo"..." US made AKs are still sitting in the $700-900 range; you're not going to see a decent AK below that unless it's a yugo, and under $500 would be a yugo AK pistol. Here is Atlantic Firearms AK list (they build good AKs too): https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/ak-47-74-rifles/ak-47-rifles.html https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/ak-47-74-rifles.html
Welp, those of you in Canadia might want to buy those guns you've been planning to buy right now.
You can pick up a barreled receiver for like $200 and pick up a parts kit, that's what my buddy's doing. I found this sweet polish underfolder for like $300 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/909439/military-surplus-ak-47-polish-under-folding-stock-parts-kit-762x39mm You'll still be in budget at that range. PSA had a barreled receiver kit for sale not too long ago, but they took them down for QC issues. Cast is OUT! Billet made trunnions and forged trunnions coming up. All parts made in USA. So no more Korean stuff...now to the price point....$699. Pow done! They are also coming out KS47 hybrid based on AR15. What you see here, with full rail setup will be $999. All this is happening in next few weeks." School shooting in Saskatchewan in a native community. I'm dreading what the government's going to do now, considering the gun was most likely an Enfield.

Apparently the shooting was with a shotgun. No political drive there.
Apparently the shooting was with a shotgun. No political drive there.
If it was Australia there would be.
If it was Australia there would be.
Semi-autos made up 2.7 million of the non-restricted guns registered (IIRC) before they killed the registry, with most of those being shotguns and SKSes. Given that Trudeau is a gun owner, he's not going to ban "hunting" guns, and there's far too many people who own expensive semi shotguns for duck hunting for it to be a popular type of gun to attack.
Looks like we'll be seeing the C-19 here, and I'm sure that Sako 85 Carbonlight will have many fans, being only 5.3lbs. So theres a gunshow tomorrow (23rd) in Bismarck. Dont know how many people are in the are but Ill be attending seeing if I can trade my USP for something.
What the best websites for guns?
What the best websites for guns?
Palmetto State Armory is pretty much the go-to place for mid range AR-15's imho.
What the best websites for guns?
Depends what you're looking for. Looking to buy or just research? Atlantic has a good selection for AKM variants, Palmetto is good for AR's, Classicfirearms is good for milsurp, Aimsurplus is best for more tactical shit, Budsgunshop has pretty much everything but is an untraversable mess, centerfiresystems has a good collection and some nice parts kits, and J&G sales sometimes has good deals. There really is no "best" gun website.
If you're looking for a particular firearm, Gunbroker is another great resource. Just be prepared to wade through overpriced stuff when searching for a deal.

Why not buy a dedicated platform? A CZ EVO would be about the same price as a glock+that kit, and it would perform way better and have better ergo
So I wanna say PSA put some red loctite on my upper when they threw on the A2 barrelnut. Since I bent my upper trying to remove the barrelnut. Gonna go buy a dremel, and recover my barrel, and pick up a new receiver.
Trade my quadrail MP-15 for a SW Model 29 .44mag y/n Needs the Dirty Harry wood grips but all things in time yes? I haven't had incredible luck with revolvers so far but I've always wanted one of these.
Yes.

The trigger and hammer look rusted and the action might have had a home smith special done to it. Just be sure to do the whole series of revolver checks on it. If it checks out, trade for it.

Same side, closer angle: I do see scratches on the cylinder from the bolt dragging, so it may be out of time. I'll have to see if he's interested in the AR before I get to see the gun itself. These normally run pretty high as far as I know but he said he was interested in ARs so it's worth checking out I think.

I think it looks fantastic and in a perfect world all you'd have to do is buy the $200 kit and you'd be done. But the tax stamp bulshit doesn't help any. The scorpion looks terrible to me unless it has a stock at which point it's an SBR again so it's a pain in the ass.

You can't even use the glock kit without a stamp.
It's a preference or opinion thing at this point though. Because my Glock works fine without an SBR kit too, which I can use without a tax stamp. I was just daydreaming. I can't own items like this in NY anyway.
