and in norway you can be 16 and have a gun with ten spare magazines, 10000 rounds of ammo, and a suppressor delivered at your door
rofl
[editline] :~) [/editline]
so these days i'm kinda frustrated when it comes to shooting
my only buddy who lives close and has an interest in guns/owns guns (my other pal with guns is working in another end of the country) has seemingly decided to not do anything else than watching films and complain about having nothing else to do
even my gf is more eager about going shooting than him..
damn you have it lucky there, here the government wants to limit everything to 21, ban owning more than one pistol/revolver for self defence (because hurr durr do you want to be like john rambo akimbo??? nobody needs more than one gun!!!), limit the amount of ammo allowed to shit amounts and ban semi-automatic guns
thankfully it won't pass because we have quite a strong gun community here but god damn it I dislike the tryhards who try to pass legislation that makes no sense and only makes them sound good
sorry for the rant lol
I'm 18, but getting a gun license is such a clusterfuck so the only way I can actually shoot is to pay out my ass at some gun range for a few magazines from tanfoglio 1911 clones
since I won't be going to the range anytime soon I decided I might as well make the best out of the patch of forest behind the house.

gonna look around for some small steel plates I can hook up to make a 25m gong. gotta get my stapler back from my pal so I can actually put up some cardboard targets.
can i come to your forest and shoot your guns pls
What would people recommend for a somewhat cheap entry-level O/U shotgun?
Stoeger condor
I used to go shooting with my coworker all the time but then I moved. Haven't gone shooting since, sucks. And damnit, you guys are making me want to get a CMP Garand.
A guy from my club just purchased an STI pistol in .38 super for shooting IPSC open division. It looked like something from Payday 2 with flared magwell, custom grips, prolonged beaver tail and mag release, red dot sight, and a MASSIVE muzzle brake. Oh, and he got a 40-something magazine for it too.
It looked something like this:

God I hate race guns.
race guns are pretty rad if they don't go all stupid with them
I agree that perhaps he shouldn't have sold something that cool but honestly it takes fifteen minutes to buy a $25 membership to the GCA and then fill out the order form for the CMP. After all said and done you are still getting a fantastic quality Garand for <$800. There is literally no other reason why you would want to buy from a private seller unless they were selling it at loss.
Luckily, military service meets all the cmps requiremeent
The importer of the Adler 110 says they'll be getting 28" models in next shipment, but I still need to pay for that 1911-380 I ordered, whenever it comes in, and they just legalized that Type 81, but it likely won't be here until Winter.
What do I do? I also want to take a vacation, but I want to buy gats, and I still need to get my T4 slips to file my taxes to get my return. I'm thinking I should finance the A110 when they get it in and when they bring in the T81 see if I can finance it too, then harass Browning Canada about that damn pistol.

I like beaver-tails, larger ambi safeties, and compensators on 1911 Race Guns. The big mag well and fancy trigger guards/triggers irks me. And I absolutely hate RDS on handguns for competition. Defeats a lot of the skill going into the sport for competition in my opinion by making it more 'point-and-click' and less having to know how to actually aim the sidearm at different distances and targets.

At high skill levels, when the only thing you are competing against is the clock, you take anything that is allowed to skim thousandths off your time. So RDS qualify for this purpose. You spend less time lining up 2 objects (reddot and target) over traditional sights that use 3 objects (rear sight, front sight, target).
At the end of the day, race guns look like abominations to me.
whats a race gun? is it like the ricers of guns?
If so, my favorite ricer gunn is the usp match. mmmmmmmsexy
I waNT,

Competition pistols look fucking retarded
I'm like 90% sure thats what race guns are.
Race guns probably are a lot of fun to shoot. Expensive fun, but fun none the less. I have to admit, sticking to regular service pistols for competition really appeals to me.
I've shot a few. They have practically no recoil if the compensator is tuned properly.

Slick but silly.
Well for .22 target shooting, target pistols are obviously the norm, and you can't seriously compete without having a decent one.
For the larger calibers, I heard that IPSC introduced the production division for a reason, as they wanted a category that was not dominated by single action only pistols with varying degrees of upgrades and attachments. The positive side is that you can compete in this category with a reasonably priced service pistol, and not have to buy a 2500+ USD race pistol.
Competing with rugged and reliable service pistols also makes it more "realistic", when compared to police shooting drills for example. I know it's still just a sport, but at least it's a bit more down to earth.
Also the revolver division looks like boatloads of fun:

Well, just bought my first AR15. Got the Ruger AR-556! Now.. just gotta find a time to go shoot it.

Why are PSL part kits so hard to find now.
Also god I want to build a PSL now.

I got some 20 round GI mags, like those vietnam stick mags always wanted some.

Always liked the look of the 20 rounders!
I just dropped my packet and check in the mail to the CMP. I should have my rifle by mid March.
I'm not a big AR fan but I'd give a nonvital organ for an M16A1 with the triangle grips and 20 rounder.

Yeah I fully intend on getting something like this when I've got the cash, hopefully I'll be able to find an in stock option then. I'm an absolute sucker for wood furniture, but the A1 just gets me.

Agreed. I love ten and twenty-round boxes for their simplicity and ease of shooting. I find it easier to use the 20-rd box as a monopod than a 30 banana personally.
Just got off the phone with Browning, apparently they've received my 1911-380, and it ships later this week!
Guess I have to head to work sometime and pick up ammo. If it somehow gets here by Sunday I'd be ecstatic, since I'm going to the range that day anyway, but I doubt it will.
Now if only the dealership would get the part for the car we bought 2 weeks ago this week would be fantastic.
Hey guys I made some money trimming and I'm kinda in the market for a new .22lr rifle, any suggestions in the cheap $150-$200 range? I already have a neat little marlin model 600 but I always enjoy a little variety.
My Remington 597 works well and is accurate. It should be around that range.
I tell people at work if they want a gun to shoot as-is get a 597, if they want to accessorize get a 10/22.

You should look at the Marlin 795. A great 22lr rifle for the money you put into it. Has a good barrel contour and has a last shot hold open. A very reliable 22.
