I don't know what it is, but I kinda want a surplus Gorka uniform, actually. More than an American BDU of any sort.
I can give you a hint as to why you want one, it starts with an S and ends with .T.A.L.K.E.R
And I can take your hint away. I've never actually played it.
Happened to me when I shot an IWI Tavor rental at the local range. Fuck, that bothered me for at least a week. I still feel it if it's really cold outside.
Nothing says Fuck your sinuses like running a DI AR-15 suppressed with a milspec charging handle.
I have a legit SPOSN Gorka with the summer partizan camo patches. I got an older generation which is sucky, since the newer ones have more secure pocket closers, velcro, some metal clips for the zip etc. They're ok enough for cold and sunny days, but they suck major dick in even very light rain since they get soaking wet after two minutes. All in all I like mine, however they are incredibly overrated
Ordering my Gorka-3 today, am hype. grey-shop.ru/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=677
Ordering my Gorka-3 today, am hype. grey-shop.ru/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=677
Why not order from Kommando store? It takes like 90 days to get something shipped from the Bolsheviks, and thats to the US. Don't even imagine what its like getting it to the complete other side of the planet.
Soooo, back in november me and a couple of friends ended up using a 3D-printer to print some 9mm bullets for reloading, and I thought you guys might find it interesting. We are planning on printing some .357mag, .38spl, .308 and maybe .45ACP and .44mag sometime during this spring as well. (I just realised that I posted this in videos and flash a while back, sorry for that)

I dropped off my paperwork today. They say in four to five weeks I should be able to go pick up the guns I've already paid for. It seemed like everyone there was there for pistol permit related things. Like the only two other people at the Clerks office had amendments and there was a guy arguing with the security guard on how to apply for a permit. Also heard a shitty story today. Some guy applied for his pistol permit and they made a big deal out of an incident 16 years ago when he was a teenager and voluntarily admitted himself for depression. So now it sounds like they're going to deny his permit application which aside from not being able to own handguns means that he forfeits the full price of his handgun, the fingerprints and he runs the risk of having his long guns confiscated. Like, I get mental health and guns don't mix but the guy is totally fine now. It seems counter productive as fuck. So you want people to seek help for their depression and such, right? So why do you make doing so a giant black mark on their record they carry with them through life and bans them from owning certain items and holding certain jobs. And there is no way in the system to 'repeal' a period of depression or anything. That being said this guy wasn't like classified as dangerous or anything, he just went to a hospital and talked to a psychologist but because the Judge found out it's now an issue when the guy is in his 30's now and in good health. If I ever needed help I'd deal with it myself. Fuck that.

If you don't have a doctor who's known you for a few years you're totally fucked, and if you do you're maybe a bit less fucked. Ask ultra_bright, if he's not banned or something. He was trying to get a gun license after having been treated for depression at some point in the past, the RCMP basically told him to fuck himself because his doctor retired. I'm astounded at the accuracy of those. What type of resin did you use? How much and what brand/type of powder did you use? I doubt many people would want that in a semi, but making some for bolts and/or revolvers would be interesting.
New York literally sounds like the innermost Hell for anyone who wants to own a gun or really anything fun for that matter leave ASAP.
Texas bound in around two years after we sell the house. I like where I live, I can tolerate the Winters sometimes (though they fucking suck) but the fucked up gun laws, self defense laws, arbitrary bans on bullshit are the biggest reason we're out. Plus the fuck ton of taxes we pay (half of them being for NYC) and the cost of living. When I switched jobs I got a paycheck for the last day I worked since it was a new pay cycle. It was $40 and the income tax the State took meant I literally only got $20 of it. And all I thought was man, if I was desperate for work and that's all I got that week I'd be fucked. That's nothing. They took half my paycheck. Anyway; back to the guns issue. Never, ever let anyone convince you that permit and licensing systems are a good idea. Everyone tries to say it's "common sense" like you can just apply for a license, take a class and be done with it but they're so ripe for abuse it's retarded. If you want to read some real horror stories with the permit process in NY go to the NYFirearms fourms. Constantly seeing threads about people getting denied for the permits for dumb reasons. Some judges are default "will not issue" to everyone. Some take literally years before you get you permit, they can process for two or three years. And you barely have any recourse. You can hire a lawyer and appeal the decisions but even if you spend a couple grand and a lot of your time and get it repealed the Judge can still be a fuck about it and decide to give you bullshit restrictions. He can literally say anything he wants. So if he's bitter about it he can say "Restricted to only specifically approved shooting ranges. Cannot possess handgun on specific property etc. etc." so you'd be fucked over anyway. Infact, we have a guy right now who got his permit and just had it revoked. Has to turn in all his handguns to the PD with no compensation (infact has to pay a suspension fee) and after a year the pistols belong to the local PD. No reason given and no one knew why he got the letter saying he had to turn them in. No mental health issues, no arrests just out of the blue. He hired a lawyer so now he's being quiet about it but it sounds like it's retaliation for something. I cringe so hard when I hear a pro-gun advocate endorse a licensing or permit system. You don't need to apply for your inalienable rights. That's bullshit.
Why not move to Vermont? It's right above you and has the best gun laws in America. It's also very beautiful.

You don't need to apply for your inalienable rights. That's bullshit.
Well a licence/permit system is a middle ground depending on how the legislation is written. Minnesota has it set up where you don't need anything to own a gun, just a permit to purchase one (and this only applies to hand guns and "assault weapons" as defined by MN law). The legislation is written as such that it is a shall issue unless there is a legal reason not to issue, and it has to be issued within 14 days if there is no legal issue. Once you have the permit its good for one year, and creates no holds barring a NICS delay. The carry permit is the same way, and acts like a permit to purchase as well as lasting for 5 years. In short it makes gun grabbers feel like they've done something while having the minor benefit of potentially weeding out those who cannot own firearms (although to my experiance it rarely seems to do so, I've had a decent share of people who managed to get MN carry permits but are still denied for legitimate felonies that occurred in the state)
Because they don't have the Gorka I'm after and they're more expensive?
What did shipping cost you? Cause KommandoStore does it for $7 international IIRC. [editline]17th February 2016[/editline]
New York literally sounds like the innermost Hell for anyone who wants to own a gun or really anything fun for that matter leave ASAP.
Thats the point. They can't outright ban guns without an insurrection happening in the rural parts of the state, so they're just trying to make it as tedious as possible to own guns and make gun owners paper criminals. This is what happens when you let a single city run an entire state.
I wonder if cases could be 3D printed. Now a shot shell MIGHT be able to do it. In the past, a company did make clear cased plasic shotgun shells. Granted, the shells can only handle target loads, but it worked and it cycled. It was in one of Iraqivet8888's older videos when the old man was alive. Kaboomed FAL from plastic cased ammo:http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/07/23/dangerous-pcp-polymer-cases-ammo-update/
They make cannon shell cases out of powder and cellulose, so I don't see why not.
Why not move to Vermont? It's right above you and has the best gun laws in America. Also someone in my family works for a company based in Texas so we're already in the door. Add on decent gun laws, better taxes, lower cost of living, climate and general culture. Also fun fact; Having your pistol permit revoked in NY also revokes your right to own long gun. Doesn't matter what the reason is. [editline]17th February 2016[/editline]
Well a licence/permit system is a middle ground depending on how the legislation is written. They can be corrupted with relative ease over a little time and are difficult or impossible to reverse. NY had a permit system like you described. Getting a pistol permit in NY isn't new it's been around since like before the 1950's but back than it's like what you described. But over the years as our culture changed and NYC gained more influence to pass laws for the rest of the State the permit system became more and more and more restrictive. The phrase 'give them an inch and they'll take a mile' comes to mind so they say "You need X" and you say "Okay, X is reasonable." Than they say "You need X and Y" and you say "Okay, well, I guess I can see why you need Y" and eventually they say you need "X, Y, Z and you need to fill out your X in duplicate. You must have four Y's and they all need to be notarized. You need to pay to have your Z processed. etc. etc." until it becomes impossible for anyone who isn't motivated to get. Add a hundred different reasons to get rejected and you're gonna have a bad time. I don't know how many times someone has said "Someone tried to harm me, I should get a CCW" and than when I explain to them how to start they say "Never mind." because it's now impossible to do it unless you have a lot of free time, money and motivation and a spotless record. Also even now, in the year of our Lord 2016, NY State is not supposed to process a Pistol Permit for over six months or you can make it a legal issue. Now, the problem with that is that no one cares and they process them however long they do. Either from legit man power shortage, overload on Judges or reluctance to issue them for personal reasons they can take over six months or even years in some States. And everyone says "Well, than sue them." most people don't have the money, time or motivation to fight city hall. It's a fight you'll lose anyway, even if you win. Our current gun laws are adequate or at the very least can only be improved on by a small margin. Anything more than what we've already agreed too is dangerous. We do not have to compromise with the gun grabbers. We've done enough compromising. Maybe if they actually "compromise" we can talk but it's usually just them demanding, demanding, demanding until we agree to it and than they give us nothing in return. SAFE Act wasn't a compromise. It was literally passed at 3AM through a rushed vote. Now we all suffer and there is no way we're going to be able to repeal it. It's done and over with.
What did shipping cost you? Cause KommandoStore does it for $7 international IIRC.
It cost me $37 AUD to ship the Gorka, some patches and two ration packs There's still the fact that KomandoStore still doesn't have the Gorka I'm/was after.
Numbers matching 1921 dated Carcano (I think it's a Carcano) at the gun store for $250. I'm not sure what model it is cause I dunno anything about Carcanos but it's a handy little gun and it's in good shape. Has a wood stock extension that covers the magazine on one side. Should I do it? It's had a sight replaced with some modern something but that's the only wrong thing about it that I can tell. I can't find any pictures of a Carcano with the stock covering the magazine so I dunno exactly what it is. The city it was made in was stamped on it, my friend misread it as Hamburg but I forgot what it actually was. [editline]18th February 2016[/editline] Happened to remember - Hembrug - and found out it's not a Carcano at all. durr
It's a Karabijn No. 4, a rifle for... bicycle troops. I'm doing it.

Apparently. :v:
That was a thing???
I mean, why not, if you don't have access to motorized vehicles and aren't willing to dedicate a horse, why not just use a bike? Lets you shoot n' scoot
hahahahah they rejected my drivers license so i'm getting a new one and going back tomorrow
That was a thing???
Yea? Germans used them pretty extensively in the later stages of WWII to good success. You get a couple of agile 14 year olds on bikes with a couple PanzerFausts strapped to their backs and you got a squad of tank killers.

Totally not an SKS

Everybody's now wondering what the RCMP is going to ban to make up for being nice to us for once.
That was a thing???
Hell yeah, dude. Don't have the heavy industry or funds to mount mechanized/motorized troops? No problem, give everyone in your light infantry a bike. They'll be less fatigued than and have a mobility advantage over other light infantry, and they'll be dead quiet compared to other mounted units. Also, bicycles are super easy to maintain. They'd actually be dragoons in function, now that I think about it. Only issue is they'd be reliant on wide paths and open ground.
