I've been shooting steel-cased Barnaul now just fine for a while. Granted I'm usually only firing about 100-150 rounds.
My mom wants a purse/pocket gun. I'm thinking about buying her one for Christmas. LC9?
If it's a purse gun does she really need single stack?
Yeah, no.
that's a qc issue with tula, not a problem with steel cases in general

LC9?
CCing a gun in a purse isn't the best idea, but if she puts it there when wearing a dress or something as an alternate, it's ok, but still not ideal. Is she familiar enough with shooting for a pocket pistol? They aren't nice to shoot and not good for beginners. I thought about something bigger but she has small hands so idk what would be best.
Went to my gun store to pick up my K31. Looks really good. I'll take a pic of it later.

So a compact 9mm sounds good for her, what does she prefer, striker fire or hammer fired? Most compact 9mms are small framed anyway.
A purse is the only option since she doesn't wear dresses or loose fitting clothes regularly. She's a little old fashioned but the only real requirement is a manual safety, she won't use a gun without one. She wants a 9 or a 40.

I want a Taurus Judge so I can leave it in the drawer in my bathroom. If a criminal decides to enter my chambers I'll just get the Judge and make myself his Jury. [editline]25th November 2015[/editline] I also went out right before sunset and shot a couple mags out of my BG380. The Wolff Magazine Springs are fantastic. Work just as they should. I just need to order two more but their website is currently broken. New problem with my KSG. The magazine followers are binding worse than a Thai hooker in the tube. I cleaned it super well but the followers themselves are all chewed up for some reason so they're likely not helping matters. I ordered some stainless steel followers and I figure I'll get some extra power magazine tube springs from Wolff whenever I get a chance to order from their site again.
Yeah, no.
The other two brands only suffered 9 and 15 stoppages over 10,000 rounds rapid fire with cleaning only at 5,000 in a desert with dust storms and rain, and all the stoppages were easily cleared. That's an average of one malfunction every 833 rounds in conditions far, far worse than most shooters experience. The first malfunction for one ammo type came at 2250 rounds without cleaning and at 4850 with the second. Eventually one of them stopped functioning when the gas system got clogged but all it needed was cleaning. The conclusion you should be drawing here is to avoid Tulammo and use quality brass ammo if you're planning to go fight a war with no cleaning supplies, not that steel-cased ammo is unreliable and will destroy your gun when you shoot a few hundred rounds at the range.
I buy brass ammo at 30-33 cents a round. It's really not a big deal for the myriad of problems you completely invalidate by buying it. Weren't most of the steel malfunctions listed as a stuck casing regardless of the brand? Not something I want to deal with.
Going to the range with my dad and younger brother this weekend. Brother wants to try skeet shooting, so my dad's pulling out his 20-gauge. I'm more looking forward to putting some rounds downrange with the M1903A3. Thing's a beast.
Ok, so i was hoping to post a picture of it today, but my cousin is selling me his Savage Axis 30-06. Whenever I get it, I'll post a picture.

Anybody have any experience with the Kel-Tec Sub2000? I've been thinking of getting a 9mm carbine since it's still a bit difficult to bring my pistols anywhere and I have a crapload of 9mm, and I'd prefer a carbine that takes Sig P226 mags so I don't have to buy new mags, and I know one of the Sub2Ks takes 226 mags.

I'd grab a Gen1 Sub2k. You might be able to get a better deal on one since you are not looking for the Glock version. As for the gun, just be sure it says that it take either one of these mags: Beretta, S&W, or Sig. If it is a Beretta, or S&W, the mag catch can be adjusted/switched out to make it Sig. You do not have to send it back to the shop to do that. As for performance, it will do minute of man at 100m, so not it's not bad. The sights are ok, but you can buy aftermarket stuff to fix that. The recoil on the 9mm is not bad. You will feel it, but it won't leave a mark like a 40cal will. The hardest thing to get over the gun, for some people, is the charging handle. I never had a problem with it, but some people don't feel comfortable with it in that position and that it reciprocates (spoiled by ARs). It does have a notch in the rear of the tube to lock back. Makes reloading easier and you can do an HK-esque slap to charge the gun. If you can find one at $450, jump on it. Those guns still come out at snail's pace from Keltec. If you manage to get one, make the bolt be extra wet. There are machine marks on the bolt and mass that may leave the gun hanging up if not lubed well. It should break in and work smoothly after a few boxes. This is a much simpler gun compared to the KSG and seems to have better QC because of it. I love the gun since it's 4.5lbs and can become really compact.
I honestly want a really good condition one so bad. I don't know what it is about those rifles, but I absolutely fucking love them.
Aside from the fact that surplus ammo is as rare as hen's teeth, I've read nothing but positive things about the rifle. If I love shooting it a lot, I'll have to look into reloading.
Anyone wanna buy my Krag? 109 year old piece of shit is so long that it's like jenga while drunk every time I rearrange the guns in my safe and have to put it in.
I'll give you 3 pink dildos for it, 4 if you pay shipping.
