On Monday, I am picking up a Ruger American Pistol .45 that I put on layaway. I can't wait to see how it shoots. It seems pretty promising to me.
You live in a city of 12,000,000? Sounds fucking awful.
Crops grow just fine in Wyoming. As I said, agriculture is a large part of their economy.
Pretty sure they know how to plow roads, too. Being a state that often gets snow. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume they also have fast food restaurants capable of getting the correct order, just like literally every other state in the country. Not sure how 'fast food' is a +1 to where you live but ok.
Also gonna go out on a limb and assume grocery stores and walmarts in Wyoming also have more than 3 selections of beer. Considering, y'know, shelf space and common business models dictate a large selection of a variety of products to encourage purchase and consumption.
You're a very strange man, with an annoyingly long title.

What the fuck is wrong with your country?
City of 200k. I dont know what i was thinking when i typed that.
I travel through wyoming to get to utah 2-3 times a year for the last 18 years or so. Its an awful boring state, and wherever you go for fast food, especially mcdonalds, they always totally fuck it up. So bad it must be on purpose. Its just something ive noticed in my travels.

I hate to break it to you but 200,000 is nowhere near double my state's biggest city, friendo :v:
Also I don't really eat fast food that much so I'm not going to rank a state on that lol
why on earth do you move that much?
Try it some time, it's honestly fantastic. I didn't like it at first, but after a while the longest I've ever lived somewhere is 4 years so when I'm approaching that I'm just flat bored with the city. The constant change all around from moving that much is a fantastic feeling.
Went shooting today, it was windy as fuck which made it miserable. Tried out my steel gong, learned that twine is shit at hanging it, and then wrecked a bungee cord someone gave me, but I learned it'll survive a hit from a 7.62x54r. I also finally got my Howa zeroed in so well with the crappy Barnaul ammo that I had 2 shots touching and a 3rd just below them right on my crosshairs, so I'm pleased that that finally got dealt with. I also learned that every other time I was shooting my SVT and couldn't hit shit it's because I was retarded, because it was shooting just fine at 100 today.
Now if only my goddamn Browning pistol would show up...

Its still boring as fuck with terribly un-maintained roads, hot as fuck in summer, uninhabitable cold in winter, and full of white inbred oil cowboys.

Haven't fired the SPAS yet but the Rhino is amazing, .357 does turn your hand black very quickly though.

Some idiot put the barrel on this revolver upside down.
That SPAS-12 is fucking beautiful man!
Put an old Walther 4x scope on my beater Lee Enfield. Decided to clean my other guns while I was at it and found my CZ452 felt like someone had dropped it in a sand pit so I pulled the whole bolt apart and found a surprising amount of gunk in it.

mm, that Adler.
How's the lever on it? I heard that at least with the 20" model the lever is very stiff and requires a lot of force to operaee.
[editline]28th February 2016[/editline]
Also Download, don't suppose you know is the SSAA Shot Show in Sydney is any good, ay?
So that gun show today was pretty damn big. Nothing extremely interesting unfortunately. Some guy had multiple crates of nuggets though and a dozen or so tins of 54r. DIY budget sovereign citizen movement in a box.
[editline]28th February 2016[/editline]
Also one of those stupid dual semi auto tacticool AR15 turret where they lie flat next to each other.
Was cleaning my SVT and was surprised to see rust in the gas system after only a few hours. Then I took a flashlight and looked in the little cone that goes over the gas port. It looked pitted at the bottom. I scraped it with a screwdriver and pulled up a caked-on layer of carbon. Maybe now that I've scraped that off it won't rust anymore.

I'm pretty certain people are only saying it's heavy because their only comparison is a little dinky lever-action .22lr.
And I don't live in NSW so I don't know anything about shot show.

I really want an enfield, there's one at a gun shop for $270 but it's missing a rear sight, and I forgot to ask what model rifle it was like a dummy.

Did the SPAS come from Minnesota? Odd question I know but i know a guy who refurbishes those along with LAW-12's, He currently owns the most SPAS-12's by any lone individual in the country.
No, I got lucky and found it locally.

Maximum average of 80 for 2 months is not "hot as fuck"

I hate to break it to you Raptor but that SPAS is not at all safe to own or load. The old style lever safeties are extremely dangerous and are notorious for dropping the firing pin when switching from safe to fire.
He could just not use the safety
He could just not use the safety
Still not safe. With the lever safety the firing pin, for some reason, is really loose and drops for no reason. When I owned my SPAS-12 the pin would drop for literally no reason. Half the time I picked it up, the sear let go and the firing pin would engage.

Good info here. Read it and be extremely careful with your SPAS if you're going to use it. Never keep it loaded, don't ever touch the safety switch, and don't let your friends shoot it without you supervising.
If you can, try to find a gunsmith who can fix it. You might get lucky, but I doubt it.
I sold mine at a loss just so I wouldn't have to worry about the goddamn thing.
I know about the safety, I never intend to use it or keep the SPAS loaded outside shooty fun time, I have better, simpler shotguns for that role.

You should still definitely try and get it fixed. It's extremely dangerous regardless.
Agreed. There are places that can still do the recall work on it.

Where? I was never able to find one. Benelli refuses to work on SPAS-12's even though they import for Franchi now, and you can't buy the trigger groups anywhere anymore.
Anyone tried the Magpul Zhukov stocks?
didn't military arms channel have one break while attempting to mortar clear his ak?
The AK operators Union liked it. Only broke the stock when it was folded then run over by an SUV. It'd stick with the Magpul fixed stock though. The only folding stock I care about on an AK is one of those triangle folder ones.

I did know about the problem before I bought the gun and did so on the understanding that the safety is not to be used so I'm gonna leave mine alone to keep it in factory condition as an oddity. I really only got mine because of Jurassic Park, I mean when your job is to work with Dinosaurs every day and all your coworkers are constantly making JP references it was just something that needed to be done.
Beyond that, the only time it's going to have a live cartridge loaded is when it's pointed at a target so no worries.
