I did know about the problem before I bought the gun and did so on the understanding that the safety is not to be used so I'm gonna leave mine alone to keep it in factory condition as an oddity. I really only got mine because of Jurassic Park, I mean when your job is to work with Dinosaurs every day and all your coworkers are constantly making JP references it was just something that needed to be done.
Beyond that, the only time it's going to have a live cartridge loaded is when it's pointed at a target so no worries.
Honestly I'd still have the conversion done. It's not like it hurts the value of the gun. It actually makes it worth more because it's not a death trap waiting to happen.
Let me know how the Rhino is. I wanted one but after all my shitty bad luck with new handguns and my nightmare of a KSG I don't want to buy another expensive fragile gimmick again.

It's probably in the minority of unconverted guns. I'd keep it that way too as long as it's made very clear how fucked the safety is to anyone who wants to use it.

It's not. The only importer that fixed them stopped in the 90's. The vast majority of those shotguns weren't fixed. It's way too dangerous to leave it like that because it's "original", especially when leaving it that way reduces the value because it's unsafe, and it's a factory mandated recall not a random aftermarket modification.

I'd love a Rhino but I don't really want another .357. I wish they'd make them in .44
Yeah I love my Rhino, just be sure you get a new one or you'll probably want to send it in to Chiappa for the trigger/hammer upgrade if it doesn't have it already. Highly recommend it though, lots of fun to shoot. I may pick up another one with a longer barrel later on.

Saint George is awesome, not sure of the hundreds of other lesser known towns in Georgia. I do know the ones in the north of Georgia have more banjos than teeth.

the real reason why you should avoid ricochets

Gave up the opportunity to trade my Saiga .308 for a Browning Shorttrac in .300 WSM. I'd have done it in a heartbeat if the gun had sights of some sort, but scopes aren't my thing. there's nowhere around me to do any longer-range shooting
Anyone have any info on the Kahr P9?
Still not safe. With the lever safety the firing pin, for some reason, is really loose and drops for no reason. When I owned my SPAS-12 the pin would drop for literally no reason. Half the time I picked it up, the sear let go and the firing pin would engage.
That is a broken gun, and is separate from the safety issue. The safety problem as explained here is essentially that the safety lets go of the hammer too soon and the trigger sear can't catch it in time, so it fires. If your gun would go off randomly for no reason, the trigger sear was faulty and needed replacement.
If Raptor just doesn't use the safety he should be fine, but replacing it isn't a bad idea either.

From Thomasville, down by Valdosta. Cousin fuckers, child molesters, wannabe gang bangers, and poverty galore.
I really want a SPAS-12 - and I would personally prefer it to be untouched. Most of my guns were made before easily accessible safeties were a mainstream idea, so I'm used to handling guns without them.
I just can't find any for sale locally. If I could I'd probably try to trade my AR-15 for it.
Just had my 2nd assembly pin shear on my PF9. Damn it. I've defend kel-tec before, but as the second one came direct from their factory sealed in a bag it just became incredibly hard. Why would you make any component of a firearm out of bimetal.
I just want a full sized battle rifle to play with that won't cost me 600+
But these dreams are impossible, so off to saving I go.

Well... there are the Century C308s for around $600, but I would hold off and buy something like a cheap barebones AR10 or PTR91 GI.
Part of me really wants to grab a c308 with some of my tax refund money, but the other part is disgusted by the crappy 12 pound trigger pull, impossible to reach mag release, and 3-5 moa accuracy. And I dont really feel like getting a ptr91, because 700-800 is about the max im ok with spending on a boomstick.

Hunt the classifieds for a DPMS AR10. Cheapest .308 semi auto on the market that I would trust currently. The Saigas are stupidly expensive when you can find them and the same can be said for the VEPRs. Those will be snatched up pretty quick though.
The C308 will shoot 3-5moa is if you are lucky with match ammo. Most shoot 6+moa.

You can pick up a DPM oracle .308 for about $750ish if you know where to look.

I haven't seen an Oracle 308 for less than $800 since Obama took office. And as always, with an election year, the prices have gone up 15% again. The times I have money buy a gun, the prices suck or the gun can't be found. When I don't have money, I can find deals and guns I want easily. WTF.
bought an MP40 22lr clone. gonna shoot it this weekend.
22lr is life.
I don't own a 22lr firearm. My next gun I want to buy will probably be one so I can get my wife to start shooting more.
I got bored of .22 very quickly.
I got bored of .22 very quickly.
Wont get tired of it when you have speed reloaders and bucketsobullets.
I do. I dunno, half the fun for me is in the kick and the boom. When I want quiet and polite I shoot my air rifles, which are a heck of a lot cheaper to shoot than the 22s and just as accurate.
My Henry H001 in .22 is one of my favorite rifles. Fun to blat with irons, and I have a cheap scope I picked up for it when I feel like dinking paper or cans and the like from a little farther. Quiet as hell with subsonic short rounds, too. It's really convenient to have a .22 able to take short and long. Dont have to be picky when it shows up at the store.

I want one now great.. thanks
I want one now great.. thanks
Great investment, honestly. For the quality you're getting their usual price is actually insane. Can't think of better value per dollar in firearms outside of like, a K31, I guess.
Don't see that every day: a select-fire M4 carbine for sale in Australia. They want only $9999 for it.
I looked up the pricing for pre ban m16a1's once. Never again.
22lr is life.
Nah 22lr sucks, but I'm a massive wehraboo so this is as close as I can get to a MP40.
