"Authentic" they could try harder. It's obviously not a US Soldier. The guy is wearing like, a DCU uniform set with sewn patches, OD CIRAS and like a Fast Helmet. He's not even close to convincing. Not to mention whatever strong ass accent that is and the fact that it sounds like he's drunk, that English isn't his first language and the bad captions. The shitty thing is normal people have no idea and will just believe it.
A few weeks. You will usually be contacted about your gun within the first week, then a couple more weeks for the return. I'm surprised you didn't follow through with your loctite plan.
We're dealing with taper pins here. I'd rather send it to Ruger and have them fix it properly, within the warranty, than me slap on some loctite, watch them continue to walk out, try something drastic with a hammer and a brass punch and wind up fucking up the weapon and voiding the warranty all in one poorly-thought-out Saturday afternoon. It'll take a lot longer this way, but my ass is covered.
That's a retirement plan I can get behind!
At the very least I'd prefer not to be in front of that "retirement plan".
At the very least I'd prefer not to be in front of that "retirement plan".
It's actually a fairly ominous name, now that I think about it. Let's try some others. "Subprime Mortgage". Nah. "Payday Loan". Eh. "Wall-Street Bailout". What the fuck am I doing with my life?
Ugh, at this rate it will be more than a month before I can get my Jungle Carbine. I wish we'd follow New Zealand's example and drop registration for most firearms.
I'm taking my Armed Security Guard class finally at the end of next month. Shit was expensive and one guy has the monopoly in a tri-county area for the class. No one else offers it.
What's a good 3x9-40 for around $300? Looking for a decent piece of glass to put on my .243 R700, a mil-dot system or something similar would be cool, not even remotely necessary though since it's a hunting gun. Won't be shooting anything past 200 yards since the lease is kinda compact. Doesn't even have to be 3x9, just whatever is best for around $300. I've been looking at the Leupold VX-1 and VX-2 series recently.

It's been over two months since I've shot any guns. I feel lost in the world.

Granted I'm sure people thought that about Canada, but when more than half the guns were never registered anyway it makes it kinda hard to enforce it.

Is a CZ 75 Tactical for $760 alright? It's not a common pistol and I know it's cheaper online, but local transfer fees fuck that route over.

If you're referring to an SP-01 Tactical, then no.
It's been over two months since I've shot any guns. And out of all those 19 years, you've really only been out shooting about 13 times. That is fucking awful.

I wish I had friends that would like to go to the range more often. Heck, if you lived close to me, I wouldn't mind giving you rides.
It's been over two months since I've shot any guns. I feel lost in the world.
Same. I wish I could shoot more, but there are no good gun clubs in Australia.
I guess my situation isn't that bad. I wish I had friends that would like to go to the range more often. Heck, if you lived close to me, I wouldn't mind giving you rides.
What's hilarious is the people who look at me when I go to these shooting events ( Yearly boy scout campout and gun range with friends dad once a year ) is when I bring about 300 rounds of whatever the hell I have and they're just like "Man ammo is expensive, blah blah blah, how about you slow down and take your time shooting." And all I can think of is "You get to shoot whenever, I get an hour or two per year to just throw lead down range. Let me have my mag dump fun, k?"
I just haven't found a good range in my area since I moved
I hate my local shops sometimes. Everything is near MRSP or even over MSRP. New Glocks are $600 and CZs are going for $700.
Well, that's what MSRP stands for. :P
Yes, and everywhere else in the US, barring the west and northeast coasts have their guns 15% lower than msrp. Doesn't make any sense to me. Hell, driving 2 hours away drop the prices by that much.

If you have to drive 2 hours to get lower prices the amount of drive time and gas become an expense that may not be justifiable.
I'm still embarrassed that I haven't been to a range since I moved to Mississippi. I feel like it should be the opposite.
Got to shoot my K98 today, it shoots so far to the left it's not even on paper at 100. It took me 40 rounds to realize this... Does anyone have a guide on how to adjust the sights on a Mauser? [editline]27th March 2016[/editline] It's about 3" left at 60m, so I'd guess it's about 6" left at 100m.
